The problems outlined go well beyond a "small deviation." One side of the roof had to be removed and redone up to the peak because the shingles were not installed correctly, and rotten sheathing was initially left in place until I pointed it out. Debris during construction is expected, but the issue was that it remained in my driveway for months afterward. Regarding the balance owed, there was no confusion on my end--only on yours, which I also had to point out before it was corrected.

My house is older, and as they removed the old aluminum siding we discovered the house would need to be wrapped in MDF(?) plywood. Some parts of the house only had framing under the siding. Our replacement windows were ANDERSON WINDOWS at a fraction of the cost Anderson asked for. Every day/night the house was left water safe and secure. Each window was properly flashed, properly caulked. After the plywood, a new fresh water liner, and then the siding.... The workers were delightful, hardworking and left each day with a clean yard and work area. After siding, the house was painted-- no oversprays. My garage doors and front patio were included in getting painted. This company is top quality, top notch. Prices are reasonable. 5 Stars from us!

They've always been easy to deal with, have great prices and the nicest installers. In 2022 because of Covid I wanted to do everything over the phone, including picking out the product as Albert showed us choices over the phone and guided my husband as he measured where the countertop would be installed. I don't think handling things in this manner would have ended up in a successful install the first time, but it did because we worked with Albert at Why Not Granite. We highly recommend them.

They were very professional and informative through the whole project. They made a mistake and took ownership of it and came back out to repair it (needed 1-2 more hole vents in my eaves). More so, a couple years later, when I was getting chimney work done, it was noted I had a leak along my chimney. I have worked with numerous contractors, on so many projects over the years. I have always come away with negative experiences - lack of communication, lack of follow through on projects, unmet expectations, etc (and so much worse). Working with John was so very different. Honestly, he exceeded all of my expectations and made the project so very easy - and enjoyable - from beginning to end! His overall attention to detail and kindness throughout every step of the process set this process apart from any other project I have ever experienced. John took on my remodel during a very stressful time in my life. Not only did he exceed my expectations in the end result, but the he made every step of the project smooth. He is a true general contractor. He managed every detail without me having to coordinate a single thing. John has wonderful suppliers to refer his clients to - he also makes himself available to meet with you and support you through every step of the decision making process. He will provide as much (or as little) support as is necessary and often does the work of a designer and contractor in one. And if you are OCD, John will outmatch you. His attention to detail is unparalleled. You can rest assured than every detail is remembered and attended to with the greatest care. One of the things that stands out about my experience with John is his level of communication. For starters, he answers his phone! He promptly replies to calls and texts within a very short period (typically an hour). I rarely had to reach out to John to check on the progress of my job - he provided me with regular updates. If I hadn't heard from John for a time, he usually initiated a call to provide me with an update. John has a wife and a daughter and it shows. He describes himself as an "over communicator." He is great at listening, understanding and providing patience throughout the remodel process - even with females (which has not been my experience). He does not impose his ideas on you or assume he knows what's best (even though he is a seasoned expert). He genuinely cares and works hard to be sure that he's delivering his client's expectations. I have never experienced that level of communication during a project and it was so helpful and reassuring. It ultimately resulted in my home being exactly what I was hoping for. In addition to John doing exceptional work, he works with a team of contractors that are excellent and professional. They are people you will feel safe and comfortable opening your home to and even enjoy having around your family. John and Mark especially are beyond lovely. We were actually a little sad when the project ended! They became a delightful fixture in our home! I was very involved in my project from beginning to end. I had a clear vision of the end result and personally chose all of the materials and fixtures. Even so, I cried when I saw the finished result. If was like an HGTV reveal! The entire experience, and outcome, exceeded every singly expectation I had, and more. I'm sure there are other competent contractors out there (maybe). However, you will not find a more excellent, ethical, or kind one than John. I have lived in my completed house for six months now. When I look around, I still love every single detail and remember all of the kindness, care and excellence that went into this project. I literally wouldn't change a thing, and would emphatically refer every (nice) person I know to John and his team. Do yourself a favor and hire John - you will thank yourself. He's the very best.

Why is it that a real review with actual pictures is not included? Trying to share this experience with others before they hire a contractor... I thought this was what Yelp was all about. We have had to hire another contractor to correct the shortcuts taken by Probuilt Metal and finish this building before the bad weather sets in. We have also had to clean up the many areas where hydraulic oil was spilled. This building has now cost us approximately $150,000 given ProBuilt has been paid $75,000 for the incorrect, incomplete post hole and framing work.
