Fast forward to today. My husband ran over something large and hard at 70 mph. Hit was so hard it popped the needle off of the speedometer in the dash. Managed to get it into see Joshua. Wasn't good news but he gave me 2 options. First was the minimum that needed to be done. Second was an additional item that really should be done. All said and done, more than I wanted to spend but I still feel he was very fair in his pricing. Been driving the van for a few days now and am very happy with the results. Plus, I have the peace of mind knowing I won't be chewing up my tires every few thousand miles. Just as a side note. I did research Cortez Car Care and discovered something amazing. They have been members of the BBB for 23 yrs this year and have not had one single complaint lodged against them in all that time. In any auto related field, especially repair/maintenance, that is a record to be very proud of. Just tells me that they are doing things right and have customer satisfaction very high on their priority list.

They are professional, keep you informed every step of the way, do great work, for a fair price, stand behind their work, and most of all are honest. I have spoken with the owner more than once, as it is family owned, and he is usually there. But one time that I spoke with him that stood out to me that they were different. My stepson's power steering stopped working. I called and I was about to have it towed in as it was parked at a restaurant. The owner got on the phone with me and asked me what year and model the car was. I told him, he asked me if the car had driven through any heavy puddles. I told him it had been raining, so I assumed so. He told me that model is notorious for the sensors getting wet and causing issues with the rack and pinion steering. He said, let it sit for a couple hours and dry out a bit. It should resolve the problem, and it did. He didn't have to tell me that. He could've let me have it towed in and just let it sit and dry and tell me he fixed it and taken me for a ride, but he didn't. That's honesty. I highly recommend this place to all my friends and family, and to anyone else who reads this review.

I've used them a couple of times because I've liked the ones in Dallas so well. It seems like every time I take my car here there is a new problem. The last time I took my car there, the car began to have a new problem immediately. This time, I took it to a new mechanic. He said the last people who worked on my car damaged it. They cut corners. In the process of taking my car apart they broke an eight dollar part and didn't replace it. Because I drove my car with the broken part, I bent the CV axle resulting in a $460 repair. I was just happy my wheel didn't come off on the highway. Not wanting to get into a, he said/she said between the two mechanics I didn't even bother reporting the problem. I won't take my car back there. Why pay premium prices if you are not getting premium service? Why give them another chance to damage my car? Would I use Christian Brothers again? Not the one in Beaumont. I am not sure about the others even though I have been happy with them. - How am I to know when a new owner takes over one I have been happy with and starts cutting corners? - What happens when THEY no longer stand behind their work?

Then when another issue popped up within a day of collecting the car, they decided to fix the additional problems (which were not caused by them, but they'd missed in their initial inspection) for free--no additional cost to me. They were also happy to drive me home from the mechanic shop when I dropped the car off, and later pick me up and bring me back to collect my car. Excellent, friendly service. Highly recommend.

He acted as though he was calling the boss made sure that I see him talking on the phone supposedly to his boss. He got off and I asked did the boss see the light on he replied " the boss did not remember." Afterwards I showed the worker a video from maybe 30 minutes before and no check engine light was on. He had no words. I decided to call cooperate and filed a complaint I was told the manager would be giving me a call within a certain of amount of time. I never received a follow up call. I call cooperate back and it was notated that I could not be reached so I called the store spoke with the manager who is very condescending and I barely could speak without it being a debate. I called cooperate back because I received an email from the genral manager asking was my check engine light still on? I responded to the email asking if he and I could speak in person also called the number listed on email I have yet to hear from Tom. A few minutes after hanging up with cooperate, I'm in my garage a family and I and we hear something weird going on in my front yard it a grey Mazda peeling out of my yard. Weird I thought we jumped in the vehicle to follow behind the car to get the license plate number. The car is speeding at times and finally we caught up to the car on Bristol he was pulled into the church backwards as soon as we got up to the driveway the Mazda just turns out I was a bit confused because why would the guy that works at Firestone be at my home doing donuts in my yard. I did get the license plate and the name of the person whom the title is for. I'm still confused so I wanted to make sure that was the guy.I go to Firestone and I'm looking around to see if I see the worker, but I don't see him or the car. So the manager approached and I let him know I'm coming to see if I see the guy that was driving the Mazda because he looked like the worker the manager swears it's not and proceeds to ask me because I explained I had the title looked up. He says I will look it up for you we go in store and he says that car has never been here. Theres another worker there and he jokes and says are you sure it is not this guy? I say no it is not he says how does the guy look. A short guy with glasses. The manage says how was his hair? I said" its short" my nephews says "almost bald" manager takes his phone out and shows a picture of a worker and I say show him (my nephew) because he did not come with me or see the worker. He shows my nephew the picture of the absent worker he shows the picture to my nephew after seeing my nephews face I knew something was wrong. He turns the phone to me and all I can say is Oh! My Lord! It's the worker. I went to Bristol Street and was more than happy because it's so many people on the street who was very cooperative and there's cameras everywhere I have spoken to a few people since I posted on social media, and I am disbelief. What was he coming to do? Had my nephew not been there what was his plans? I have like 13 nephews that loves their Great Aunt and someone is always with me Thanks be to God. Had I known before getting the license plate it would have been a different outcome all behind a complaint. A company as big as Firestone hires stalkers, bullies and no telling whom else they have tried the scare tactic with. I did post the license on my page and was contacted by someone saying she knows who the car belongs too. I am waiting for cooperate to get back to me. This will definitely not be tolerated. Someone could have possibly been hurt that day. The police are looking into things because there's cameras everywhere he went. I will be filing a FOIA to receive additional footage myself AND JUST AS SHOW AS GOD IS MY PROTECTOR EVERYONE INVOLVED WILL HAVE TO EXPLAIN THEMSELVES. I AM STILL IN DISBELIEF BUT PREPARED IN CASE SOMEONE ELSE DECIDES TO COME.I WAS TOLD BY BEAUMONT POLICE THAT I CAN PROTECT MYSELF AND FAMILY AND BY ALL MEANS I WILL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT. COUNT YOUR DAYS DEMONS BECAUSE YALL MESSED WITH A PRAYING WOMAN AND MY GOD LISTENS WHEN I PRAY. I KNOW THIS IS ONLY FOR REVIEWS BUT I'M CROSSING ALL MY I AND DOTTING THE T'S. I KEEP ASKING EVERYONE TO TAG FIRESTONE IN THE VIDEO BECAUSE I WANT THIS TO GO VIRAL AND THE VIDEO IS DOING PRETTY WELL, THANKS TO SOCIAL MEDIA. I ALSO HAVE VIDEOS OF MY INTERACTIONS WITH THE MANAGER AND THE WORKER. WE KNEW TO RECORD BECAUSE TO ELIMANATE" HE SAID SHE SAID"

I even brought the throttle body with the old gasket for them to see it and make sure that we are talking about the same part. The gentleman that took care of me and who seems to be the owner, told me that they did not have the part at the store and had to order it. I told him order the part and paid for it. Oh boy, what a mistake. When I was paying, I asked the gentleman to show me a picture of the part he ordered to make sure that was the right one, but he said it was the right one in an upset tone and did not show me the picture. I am trusting him because they have all kinds of performance parts and he seemed to be knowledgeable. The following week I picked the gasket kit that he ordered, but when I got home and compared the gasket with the throttle body, it did not fit. I went to the store again told the gentleman that he sold me a wrong gasket that did not fit. He indicated that I was wrong, that he had worked on those cars before and all throttle bodies gaskets are the same. I even showed him that the kit that he sold me was for 89-93 Mustangs and mine is 95, but he insisted that all gaskets for all 75mm throttle bodies are the same and refused to changed it. At that point I am thinking he is either incompetent and has no knowledge of what he is talking about or he is trying to pull a fast one on me. I decided to go home and bring my throttle body to show him that the gaskets did not fit. By the time I went back to the store, it was closed. The following day I went to the store and explained the issue to another employee, but his answer was that the person that ordered the part was off that day. At that moment I felt that it was just another excuse to not change the part. I told the gentleman that was not my problem that I was at the store and he can take care of the issue. He became upset with me and offered to give me my money back, which I accepted. There is no way I will give a second chance to earn my business after all the hassle of going to the store three times, being lied and ignored twice for just a simple throttle body gasket. My impression is that these people are just another clueless parts counter salespersons selling performance parts. If you want the right parts, better customer service at a reasonable price, do yourself a favor and order your parts online.
