    Red curry

It seems that Southeast Kitchen is strictly takeout at this time. You can't even go inside to pick up your order, they bring it out to you. When you place your order over the phone they ask for payment - prices online are the same as over the phone so I just order online now. The food here is good and portions are fair for the price. The food is pretty spicy so I recommend going for mild unless you really want a good sweat. Red curry comes with a portion of fragrant white rice, a delicious combo. I always forget to ask them to take the bean sprouts off the pad thai - I prefer cooked bean sprouts so I ask for it on the side hen throw it on the pan before pouring it over my pad thai. Southeast wings and salt+pepper wings are both good. Next time I will just got for a 10 piece instead of 5 of each. I can't comment on the ambiance since they won't even let guests in the front door.

I don't like too much spice so I really like how you can choose your spice level. I have had the chicken pad thai with 0 spice and I loved it. I also tried the vermicelli noodles with squid (pictured below) and it was really fresh! No spiciness in this dish either.

Great food. Very poor service. Only the one guy we interacted with but did this place a disservice. We loved our food though. Fried dumplings looked extra crispy but they had this soft pillow texture that blew me away.

Starting off with aromatic delicious appetizers. Left grilled squid. Right spring rolls. Loved them both! Hats off to the chef!

This hidden gem in Wilmington is a must visit. The food is thoughtfully arranged, selected, and presented. As an extra bonus this place is a BYOB and the service is superb! Our waitress not only recommended wines to compliment our meal but directed us to the nearest location available purchase them (all within a 1 minute walking distance of the restaurant). My charming date brought a bottle of Courvoisier for us to enjoy the meal but this place has a wine and beer license only. Bring one or the other to pair with your meal and you will not be disappointed. We ended up having Cabernet Sauvignon with our Spicy coconut shrimp and flank steak pho. A perfect pairing! Glad we took the advise of the waitress who was very knowledgeable on the available options. The atmosphere is casual not too shabby but it is a bit chic. Come as you are one and all. This food was so good I felt like it was prepped just for me. Parking wasn't too bad at least for the time of day we were there. Noon on a Saturday with plenty of on street parking. We applaud the chef for his attention to detail and delicious food.

unfortunately finding decent restaurants in Wilmington is a challenge within itself. so when I heard of Southeast kitchen a few weeks ago I was eager to try it. My first time at South East kitchen was pleasurable so I decided to return for a second time. I shouldn't have done that. Tonight I had the drunken noodle and beef lot na. The noodles in both entrées were so over cooked that my noodles did not taste like noodles. instead the noodles tasted like pure mush, like blended egg noodle that had been left in the pot for too long and started to disintegrate in its own oils. but that's not even the best part. When I called the restaurant to express my concern, I was connected to the "boss"I him know the noodles were overcooked and did not have that texture of firm noodles. The boss then challenged me and told me that I was wrong. The fact that I was willing to get back in my car drive this disgusting and subpar food BACK to the restaurant to exchange it for something better should tell you enough about my overall dissatisfaction. As a restauranteur if you are unable to except critique on the food that you are putting out there and your reputation you should probably take heed to what your customers are saying. Off the boss's energy alone I will not be returning to Southeast Kitchen. please see pictures And judge for yourself. You've been warned.

Great food! Nice approachable owner. I have had the wings which are pricey but delicious and the staff is always friendly.

Very low key order at the register and seat yourself kinda place. I am particularly a fan of the green curry. Great for a quick lunch.

Came here a couple times. Good service and good food but for whatever reason my stomach always hurts the next day.

It's also BYOB, so if you're of legal drinking age, you can bring your own beer. This restaurant is located in the Fairfax Shopping Center right between Walgreens and Crab du Jour on Concord Pike, and there is plenty of free parking in the lot. When you walk in, you immediately know the place is authentic by the aroma of incense and the mini altars with daily offerings to Ông Địan and Thần Tài. The space itself is clean, spacious, and has plenty of seating. The friendly staff attended to our needs right away, brought us water and menus, and took our orders. I ordered the Bún Đặc Biệt (house special vermicelli topped with a mix of grilled pork, shrimp, fresh herbs, and sliced chả giò), a bánh mì thịt heo nướng (grilled pork), a bánh mì thịt bò nướng (grilled beef), and a bánh mì chả lụa (pork meat loaf). My nephew ordered the Phở Tái Nạm Gầu (thinly sliced raw eye-round steak, well-done flank, and fatty brisket), while my wife ordered the Bún Chả Giò. The pho was amazing--authentic, savory, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. The bun dishes were delicious and cool, hitting our appetites perfectly on a 90°+ day. What really makes the difference with vermicelli is having a great nước mắm sauce, and this place does it perfectly. And the bánh mì sandwiches--wow! Having great bread is the foundation, and this place absolutely hits the mark. The combination of the thinly sliced marinated meats topped with a crisp, tangy julienned mix of daikon and carrots, long cucumber sticks for a fresh crunch, bright cilantro, and fresh jalapeños for a spicy kick makes all the difference. It's what elevates it from an OK sandwich to a truly great one. We're definitely hitting this spot again whenever we're in town. Tip: When ordering sandwiches to go, let them know if you plan to eat them the same day or the next day and they'll separate the veggies for you so the baguette doesn't get soggy!

The pho is my usual choice and it's solid but the broth is not my favorite compared to some other establishments. Still, convenient location, airy dining room, and prompt service make this place worth visiting.
