This apparently is the go-to spot for authentic Vietnamese cuisine in Wilmington, and I'm glad the…read morelocals are right! It's also BYOB, so if you're of legal drinking age, you can bring your own beer. This restaurant is located in the Fairfax Shopping Center right between Walgreens and Crab du Jour on Concord Pike, and there is plenty of free parking in the lot. When you walk in, you immediately know the place is authentic by the aroma of incense and the mini altars with daily offerings to Ông Địan and Thần Tài. The space itself is clean, spacious, and has plenty of seating. The friendly staff attended to our needs right away, brought us water and menus, and took our orders. I ordered the Bún Đặc Biệt (house special vermicelli topped with a mix of grilled pork, shrimp, fresh herbs, and sliced chả giò), a bánh mì thịt heo nướng (grilled pork), a bánh mì thịt bò nướng (grilled beef), and a bánh mì chả lụa (pork meat loaf). My nephew ordered the Phở Tái Nạm Gầu (thinly sliced raw eye-round steak, well-done flank, and fatty brisket), while my wife ordered the Bún Chả Giò. The pho was amazing--authentic, savory, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. The bun dishes were delicious and cool, hitting our appetites perfectly on a 90°+ day. What really makes the difference with vermicelli is having a great nước mắm sauce, and this place does it perfectly. And the bánh mì sandwiches--wow! Having great bread is the foundation, and this place absolutely hits the mark. The combination of the thinly sliced marinated meats topped with a crisp, tangy julienned mix of daikon and carrots, long cucumber sticks for a fresh crunch, bright cilantro, and fresh jalapeños for a spicy kick makes all the difference. It's what elevates it from an OK sandwich to a truly great one. We're definitely hitting this spot again whenever we're in town. Tip: When ordering sandwiches to go, let them know if you plan to eat them the same day or the next day and they'll separate the veggies for you so the baguette doesn't get soggy!

The pho is my usual choice and it's solid but the broth is not my favorite compared to some other establishments. Still, convenient location, airy dining room, and prompt service make this place worth visiting.

I was craving for Vietnamese (and no where near South Philly) so we decided to stop by at Hanoi's Pho. I remember going here long time ago when it was a different Vietnamese restaurant. Upon entering I realized that the lighting was a bit dim, and tables and chairs looked outdated. There were enough customers so we decided to stay. The service was pretty good, just two younger men manning the front. My daughter ordered pho and she said it was pretty good; I ordered house vermicelli, and it was just okay (I had it better elsewhere); and my husband ordered some type of a clay pot pork belly and shrimp dish. He said it was a bit salty and wished they had added some vegetables. Overall, it was just an okay experience.

The soup has been delicious, but each time the vegetable spring rolls has had some type of meat-like product. Each time, I thought I may have made a mistake in my order, silly me! I called the restaurant and despite having had the order delivered, they offered a refund only if I returned the spring rolls for them to inspect. I was hotter than fish grease, but I was so sick of this I got in my car, drove the 15 mins. and returned the damn spring rolls. Once there, they took the vegetable spring rolls into the kitchen. The young host came out and explained it wasn't meat in the spring rolls, but tofu. Tofu is not listed on the menu, or on the description for the vegetable spring rolls. I explained I don't eat tofu. The restaurant said my refund would have to come from Door Dash. This is crazy. I calmly told them I'd sit in the restaurant until I received my refund, along with the tip I included. Well, the decided to provide me with the cash for the cost of the vegetable spring rolls, plus the tip. Moral of the story, call and verify what's exactly in the items you're ordering, or simply go elsewhere.

They have good Pad Thai and Thai iced tea as well! The green curry is just my favorite. Great customer service too, which I experienced especially today. I was wrongly charged $115 instead of $17 for my meal and didn't notice, they called me shortly after to fix the mistake. Honest people, which I respect! Try it out sometime if you enjoy Thai food.

It was the only one with wide noodles. Sooooo good. My friends enjoyed their food too. One got crab & shrimp fried rice, the other got the dish w the cellophane noodles and mushrooms. All the dishes had enough to take home for a second meal. It is all made from scratch and to your desired temperature, regarding spice. The actual restaurant is...quaint. it's small and clean. I don't think it would hold more than 30 ppl. The bathroom is a single and the door didn't lock for me. I just peed and prayed. Lol. Service was OK. Considering we were the only ones in the restaurant, the server seemed like he didn't want to be bothered. Food came out quickly tho. The lemon marscapone cake looked delicious, so I got one to go. Since then, I've been too many times. Food is consistently fresh, quick and delicious! Service is always mid. Try the Thai tea and mango rice... oh and the basil rice. Listen, I could go on, everything is good.
