From the moment we walked in, we were greeted right away, and the wait time was very short. The office has two sides -- a pediatric and an adult area -- both connected and extremely clean. Totally unprofessional. The female African American dentist that I saw two weeks prior was excellent -- respectful, knowledgeable, and kind. Unfortunately, the front desk staff and the office manager are the complete opposite. I had already paid a fee during my last visit, and nothing else was due at that time. But when I returned for my child's dental care, I was told I suddenly owed over $200 -- not including the cost of the treatment we came in for. The only explanation that was offered/given was a printout. The so-called office manager was dismissive and rude, and ended the visit with a sarcastic "Have a great day" while smirking -- fully aware she had upset me. But the warm welcome was felt from the moment we walked in until the very end after meeting with Dr. Claudette. They made my kids feel very comfortable with games, toys, conversation, and even prizes. Giving them a goodie bag and a personalized certificate for no cavities was such a reward. To me this shows that they truly care about their patients; they don't try to push anything extra on you and discuss any tips or suggestions. Unfortunately, AFTER receiving the service and on the way out we were billed $212 instead of 100% coverage for in network preventative services. When I called and asked about the same day, I was told "we aren't in anyone's network." So, now there is a $75 deductible for each of my two children and only 60% coverage instead of no deductible and 100% coverage on a $500+ bill. All of it would've been prevented if they told the truth up front. Bottom line is they are friendly, but they have no problem deceiving you and getting to your wallet. Don't walk away, run!
