She even spotted some skin cancer on another part of my body and encouraged me to see my dermatologist about getting a biopsy. She didn't have to do this. Her staff were all genuinely kind and caring as well. One even sharing pictures of Travis. A newborn to a staff member. He is a cutie! I would recommend this doctor to all who can use her services. They were all A + in my opinion.

DO NOT USE THIS DR!!!…read more I had an appointment yesterday with an OGBYN my regular doctor referred me to. I'd tried multiple birth controls for the past 2.5 years and they were all hormonal. My body hasn't reacted well to them. They caused me to bleed almost daily. I was lucky to have a few days a month without bleeding. So after much trial and error my doctor recommended I try the copper IUD as it's non-hormonal. Rewind 2.5 weeks ago. I went in to Dr Mukesh Parekh at Northwest Obstetrics and Gynecology PLLC. I was supposed to get my Nexplanon birth control removed and the copper IUD in. When he came into my room not once did he let finish ONE sentence and barely would look at me. He started asking me all of the questions I had already answered on the forms I filled out and were right in front of him. Not in a way of double checking, but in a demeaning manner as if he was testing me, and still as I'd be finishing my answers he'd cut me off. Then he asked why I was there today even though my appointment had been scheduled over a week ago and the info of why I was there was on a page in front of him. He then asked me if I had researched the copper IUD and I said yes and started to tell him why I wanted that one, he immediately interrupted me and kept telling me why I "don't want that one". Finally after my several attempts to get a finished sentence in he said he'd give me one "but not today". He said he'd take out the Nexplanon but he said "it's far too painful to get the IUD in except when you're in your bleeding cycle". I told him I was currently in my cycle and that I have a very high tolerance of pain. I pulled up my phone to show him my app that tracks my cycle and set it on the counter for him to see. As I was trying to tell him I didn't want a lapse in my birth control, he again refused to give me the IUD that day, then he snapped at me for my phone being on "his counter" even though I set it there for him to see. He said "get this off my counter" took my phone and dropped it on the bench I was sitting on and said "don't put things up here". He kept insisting he'd only give me the IUD on my next cycle because he wasn't sure if the period I was having now was a "real one". So I got my Nexplanon removed and I was scheduled to go in for a checkup the following week. The following week was dead in the middle of the Snow Pacalypse, so I got rescheduled for the following week. That was yesterday. First I spoke to the nurse and told her I'd like to go ahead and get the copper IUD today because my fiancé and I had unprotected sex 5 days ago and I knew that the copper IUD is the most effective form of emergency contraceptive but that it has to be put in 5 days from the day of unprotected sex. She looked at me like I was crazy and said "oh no... you're mistaken". I told her I had researched it thoroughly and everything said the same thing. She told me "Well I've never heard that, but you can ask the doctor when he comes in". While I was waiting for the doctor to come in I pulled out my phone and very quickly found the info on MANY credible websites saying what I had said, that the copper IUD is even more effective than the morning after pill. One page was planned parenthood's so I knew it was legit. The doctor came in and again he hardly looked at me. He checked my arm (which healed up fine) and I told him what I had told the nurse earlier. While I was talking he started shaking his head no and interrupted me saying "Nope. No. It doesn't work that way." I said "well right here I can show you multiple credible sites that say"... he interrupted me again shaking his head, waving his hands at me and clinched his eyes shut as I was trying to show him my phone, "No you just have to wait until your next cycle, if you're pregnant then sorry, you had unprotected sex." I said "so you will not give me the IUD? You refuse to give me that? That is the only reason my doctor referred me to you, to get my birth control switched out. Now I need this birth control before it's too late, and today is the last day I can get it." He said "well sorry I won't do it. I don't agree with it." I haven't been so upset in a LONG time. He KNEW it could be used as an emergency birth control but he refused to do it. As I was leaving I was crying I was so upset. **BIG NOTE** Within less than a day of me posting my experience on my personal Facebook page I had more than 5 of my personal friends comment saying they also had used Dr Mukesh Parekh in the past (over many years) and also had horrible experiences. I am dumbfounded that I am the only one who has posted negative reviews on here or on Facebook. This has taught me a big lesson. PLEASE be sure to ask your friends for references on doctors so you don't end up experiencing horrible things like I did.

My husband and I have been planning to get pregnant for over a year. We finally scheduled an…read moreappointment to have my birth control removed, showed up on time, and were immediately told, "This appointment was cancelled." When I asked why, I was told the doctor went into labor early and that they "called me." No voicemail. No message. No notification of any kind. I then asked to see another doctor. I was told they "don't switch doctors." When I asked when the next available appointment was, I was told 12 weeks. So apparently my pregnancy plans are supposed to be put on hold because this office has no coverage plan in place and refuses to accommodate patients. No apology. No effort to help. No referral to another OB-GYN. Nothing. This is supposed to be a happy and exciting time in someone's life, and instead I was treated rudely and dismissed completely. If a practice cannot support patients when a doctor goes on maternity leave, that is a serious failure. Do not waste your time or your happy moments with a business this unprofessional. Patients should not be expected to pause their own family planning because an office failed to plan appropriately for theirs.

If I could give fewer than one star, I would. From the very…read morebeginning, the staff at this practice have been consistently rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Every point of contact--phone staff, check-in, check-out, and even nursing--felt unpleasant and unwelcoming. Interactions often came across as indifferent at best and openly irritated at worst. My daughter initially chose this practice for her obstetric care, but after attending only a few appointments, I strongly encouraged her to transfer elsewhere. Unfortunately, the issues extended far beyond poor customer service and raised serious concerns about the quality and safety of care. Most concerning, her medical records appear to have been mishandled. After her 26-week appointment, documentation of her visits seemingly stopped. At her 34-week checkup, she was told she was still 26 weeks pregnant and had to push back to correct their error. She was also required to repeat her glucose test because there was no record of the original results, and her anatomy scan--performed in their office--was not documented in her chart. Following these events, she made the decision to transfer care. However, despite multiple formal requests from another physician's office, her records have still not been released more than four weeks later. This delay has prevented her from establishing care elsewhere during a critical stage of her pregnancy. This experience has been deeply frustrating and concerning. At a minimum, patients deserve respectful treatment and accurate recordkeeping--especially in a medical setting where continuity of care is essential. If you, a family member, friend, or stranger on the street, consider OBGYN Associates for your care, run-don't walk- in the opposite direction.

The office is friendly and clean and the staff members are kind. Dr. Mills recently preformed a surgery for me and I would not have trusted most doctors - but with her I felt at ease and trusted in her ability. She took time to really listen to my concerns and talk with me in great lengths. My recovery has been excellent and I attribute it to Dr. Mills care. Highly recommend this clinic if you are in need of a great practice.

Unfortunately, my experience with another staff member was much less positive. During my pregnancy, I was experiencing severe nausea and vomiting that ultimately turned out to be hyperemesis gravidarum. At the time, I was struggling to maintain my job due to the severity of my symptoms. When I tried to explain what I was experiencing, the staff member seemed dismissive, stating that sickness during pregnancy is normal and expressing doubt that accommodation paperwork would be approved. The response felt insensitive and did not reflect the seriousness of my condition. Another concern was the wait time. On multiple occasions, I waited over an hour before being seen, so I would recommend planning accordingly for appointments. Lastly, I was surprised to receive a bill for my initial appointment nearly a year later, after my baby was already almost four months old. The delayed billing created unnecessary confusion and frustration. While I appreciate Dr. Mills and the care she provided, I believe there is room for improvement in patient communication, office efficiency, and billing practices.
