They knew right away that UPS lied and took my order for themselves. They said it happens to them on a regular basis. So I then had them send out another order of my 1/2 Bushel of Jumbo Male Crabs, and they didn't disappoint. Ordered a half bushel of jumbo crabs. They arrived cooked, fresh, and on time. Seasoned to perfection. Broke out the mallet and newspaper and went to town. Delish! Plenty of meat, tasty and wonderful. Not for the faint of heart, as whole crabs are a lot of work but so worth the effort. A bit pricey with shipping, but there was a big sale on that more than covered the shipping. This was a birthday present for my wife, and it made our whole year. Highly recommended.

Since it is early April, Crisfield is not quite in full swing so a lot of places are only open on the weekends. On our arrival via sailboat last night we saw a couple of places with water front decks so we we trying to figure out which places those were and whether they were open. One spot we identified was the Fishernan's Warf but our online searches indicated they were not open until Friday afternoon. The other place we identified was the Crab Pot Depot and according to the online information it was open. We left the cafe and walked down the street checking out a few shops and chatting with some friendly locals and the decided we would walk over and check out the Crap Pot Depot. When we arrived we saw that while the hours posted in the window indicated they we open, the sign and the locked door clearly indicated they were closed. While researching the place online, we could see that they had a few tables along the waterfront so we found our way along the side of the building and out to the back deck. When we got there we found the owner, Eric, busy cleaning the deck and tables. He said that he should be open but due to a few things he was not open and that he would be open tomorrow. I jokingly asked if he would be willing to serve three hungry sailors and to our surprise he said that it wouldn't be the first time he had done something like that. We chatted some more and next thing you know we had arranged for two dozen crabs and two pounds of shrimp to be prepared and ready to eat at 6:15. We hustled back to the boat and did some laundry while other crew caught a few winks. I slipped over to Big Willies and grabbed some Yingling Lagers and at 6 we headed over to the Crab Pot Depot. We settled into our private restaurant picnic table on the water and in no time at all Eric delivered crabs and shrimp to three hungry sailors. Maybe it was the setting, maybe it was the circumstances but the crabs and shrimp were absolutely outstanding. As an added bonus, Eric served us his own side dipping sauce of butter with garlic and spices that complimented both the crab meat and the shrimp to perfection. On top of the fact that the food was tremendous, and Eric was incredibly accommodating, he was also an outstanding host. One drawback was that there were a lot of biting gnats out this evening. We were doing our best to drown out their annoyance with crab, shrimp, and Yingling and we were doing a pretty good job of it but Eric could see they were bothersome. To aid in our comfort he went into his kitchen and brought out a large industrial fan and extension cords and set it up so it would blow down our table, eliminating 90% of the bug problems. If you are ever anywhere near Crisfield, do yourself a favor and look up Eric at the Crab Pot Depot. We had to u-turn and back track about a 1/4 mile as it was on the east side of the divided highway. At first glance, I was disappointed and annoyed. We wanted an actual sit-down restaurant so we could take a break, and what we see is a fresh fish market. It's a really old rundown looking fish market. But like I said, we were really hungry, and there were a few vehicles there. Some had people eating in them, so we went inside. As soon as we walked inside, the smell of fresh seafood hit us. It didn't sink. It smelled really fresh. There's 2 counters inside and no place to sit. The only seating is picnic tables outside. The first counter is the fresh raw seafood, and the 2nd way off to the left is for placing your order. We kill about for a bit while looking at the handwritten menu. An older man with a Russian accent and the sea weathered appernce you'd expect in a lifelong fisherman was helping other customers. When it our turn,it was a hard decision because it seems you can have them cook any of the seafood from the other counter. We both went with the classic fish in chips. What we got to a while as it's completely made to order. Yo! This fish was in the ocean swimming yesterday! It's that fresh! So, the fish was fried flounder filet, and the fries were standard frozen fries with old bay type seasoning. This was the best fried fish I'd had in a very, very long time. The fries weren't bad, but the fish was next level. If you're every driving by and have a hankering for great fresh seafood, stop here. You won't regret it.

It was a nice portion for an entree and was easily enough for both of us for a lighter lunch. Really delicious sweet tea so I took some to go. Small gift shop attached and tons of seating inside and expansive views of the water with a back wall of windows all around.
