Sit anywhere you like, and typically someone grabs your drink order, while you get your food. They tend to have Baked Chicken, Fried Chicken, and daily specials which could include Meatloaf, Pot Roast, etc. And, lots of traditional southern choices from Green Beans to Stuffing. This place is a gem. I travel from Eads TN to Holly Springs at least once a month to eat lunch here on a weekend. It's a lunch buffet and it's not big but literally everything on it is delicious and the menu changes daily. My favorite is the dessert. They got this pie that tastes like a Snickers bar that I'm addicted to. It's not always on the buffet but when it is I go all in. I'll eat a giant plate of it and almost go into a sugar coma. The tomato pie is delicious as well. I didn't even know what a tomato pie was until I tried it here and its basically just a tomato quiche but I think the folks around here have got an aversion to the word quiche and just call it pie instead. Good food in a quaint little downtown with beautiful old Southern charm. We stopped off the interstate as we were passing through Holly Springs on our way to Atlanta to try this buffet after seeing the high reviews! The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is because they have someone behind the bar dishing up what you tell them you want (I'm guessing this is due to covid?). I don't like my food touching and even when I said "just a little", I got a heaping amount with everything sloshed together...maybe a divided plate if you won't allow me to fix it how I like it? This place is excellent in every way! Myself and my crew have been eating there everyday for both lunch & dinner while on this job here in Holly Springs. The food is all made in house and from scratch including their amazing desserts. The fried chicken is impeccable, the shrimp and grits, pork tenderloin, yams, cobblers, salad bar... to name just a few. The staff and owner Tom were so very hospitable and really represent the term "Southern hospitality". It never gets old... we have a few more days here and believe that I will be savoring every bite while I can. Bravo guys... you truly have a gem here. Extremely nice people here. The decor is really cool.....rustic but trendy at the same time. Loaded potato soup was fantastic! We were in the area on Saturday and decided to stop here for lunch. The mister has eaten here several times during the week and has raved about it. It was sooo good. We got the buffet and it was like sitting down to the best southern Grandma's table. The best thing was the carrots. DELICIOUS! Corn was an interesting recipe. Super sweet with a bit of tangyness. It was good. Green beans-- perfect! Tried the fried and baked chicken and both were tasty. The fried was moist and crunchy with just the right seasoning. Had a salad too, and, unlike most smaller buffets, this one had mixed salad greens in addition to regular iceburg lettuce. Real tomatoes! Red, juicy tomatoes. Everything was fresh and neatly presented. They had 3 desserts. Peach cobbler, chocolate pudding pie, and a peanut butter whipped topping delight. My guys cleaned their plates. :) They do a very good job here at a great price. They also offer a take-out buffet for the same price as the eat-in one. Hot food was hot. Cold food was cold. Old town atmosphere. Friendly server. Clean. We might make another trip with this as the only destination. It was that good! This place was so dirty when we went in. And it was crazy packed for something was going on square it was blocked off. We sat down at table and got drinks and some guy put dirty dishes all over it. So we went outside and some girl that worked at front took care of us and we took care of her the others didn't pay attention. I am in this business and being ignored sucks. There was food all over the floor and buffet wasn't that great it seemed to be older food maybe we just didn't get there early enough. Tried to call but the guy never got back to me put me on hold. 8/12/17 Come on yelp allow 0 stars! Food was cold, dry, and wrong. Also where's customer service? Was tolerable place until I sent my food back uneaten and was made to state the food issue! The rest of my party didn't eat there's either except for one. All of us had the same problem (cold & dry) from burger to baked potatoes. P.S. smothering it in cheese isn't going to fix it; help maybe but not fix.. Not to mention how many times do you have to say (to the cashier/manager/owner whatever she was) "no ma'am I don't want any thing else; thank you" before she gets it?!?! I've got your answer.. 3 times that's how many!!! I thought the lady was going to stab me in the neck if I didn't respond with what she wanted to hear! Sorry but not sorry lady no thank you means NO THANK YOU! Now back to the start of the problem; the server.. No pleasantries from him! No smile, nothing. Kid acted like he didn't want to be there. Big place, old building, high ceilings & cool atmosphere. Staff was friendly. Food was very good with great portion sizes. I had the grilled tilapia w/a side salad and onion rings. Tilapia was cooked well, just over seasoned with something VERY salty. Fresh lemon solved that problem. The onion rings were good, just a little too greasy for me. Came to this town to handle business and wanted to grab lunch, saw this little sidewalk cafe setup with a chalkboard menu stating they offered a $10 lunch buffet and decided to give it a try...went inside to a cozy little set up with a small hot food buffet and a tiny salad bar,but WOW was the food good!!! I was in Holly Springs at lunch so I figured try a place on the square. This has the best ratings so I gave it a try. It was good. The service was great and everyone was super friendly. The waitress told me honestly her opinion of a few menu items which I greatly respect. I opted for the prime rib sammy as suggested in a review. Overall it was good and I would probably order it again. Came with a side of good potato salad that did not taste like something from a tub. The sandwich bun was slathered in a butter product that wasn't my favorite. It masked the horseradish sauce completely. I would also comment that it was all super salty. The meat was thin slices and was on the well done side but reasonably tender. They had a few meat and two specials and each day of the week had a daily special. I didn't care for the vinaigrette. Too tart for my taste. Not enough oil and sweetener. I got some honey mustard and that was delicious. I was a little disappointed that the chicken wasn't cooked for my order. It wasn't very hot and not crispy at all. It tasted good though. My side of grits were watery and flavorless. Just the way Mom used to make them. (Bless her heart!). I was able correct this with some butter and salt. I was about to give them a 3 star rating and then it happened. Some genius (being serious) had a cooler full of awesome desserts sitting right by the checkout counter. They were layered cakes in a cup. Except, don't even think of these as cakes. It doesn't do them justice. Mine was chocolate cake with a sweetened cream cheese icing and then a whipped topping layer. There was a saucy chocolaty icing layer and some toffee on there too. Brilliant. I never would've ordered this if it wasn't presented as a convenience item upon exit. I was in Holly Springs visiting Holy Family Catholic School and I decided to eat lunch locally. So my son and I chose this Restarant based on the reviews and proximity to the school. We were greeted with a smile and I just new the food was going to be delicious. They did not disappoint me at all. My son wasn't that hungry and he played over his cheese sandwich. However, my vegetable lasagna was pretty good. We had a new waitress, that was not up to my standard of efficient customer service, but she had a great personality. There is hardly no decor, but I had great conversation with some of the locals. I could tell this was the dining version of cheers establishment. The salad bar was good with some variety but the beat came with the vegetables. They were all great including lima beans, black-eyed peas, carrots, green beans, and many others. The main entrée was baked chicken and it was delicious. It was moist with the right amount of spices. For dessert they had apple cobbler which was wonderful.
