This is such a little hidden gem. I've lived in this area and drove by it for the past 3 years and never knew it was a coffee shop! The place is super cute and also had a spa inside? I would love to get a spa service and then grab a coffee! The menu is full of delicious offerings, I grabbed a Dubai latte. It was good, I wish I could try everything on the menu. Loving the Southern Salt so far! Tucked away on Midway road, it's a convenient location to meet with friends or grab coffee on the way to work. It does get pretty busy, so plan ahead! To me, they stand out as a coffee shop because of the cozy and inviting space. They also make their syrups in-house and use organic or local ingredients. For the fall, I liked "The Rory" which is a pumpkin spice latte. Lastly, there is a spa connected to the shop as well. There's plenty of room for both under the same building. Next time, I'm getting my nails done and trying the cookie. Overall, I highly recommend checking them out for both locals and visitors alike! read more

I stopped in a few weeks ago and tried the Benny boo boo ( I had to, my son's name is Benjamin) and it was Devine !! So Devine I went the next week and got another. They were INCREDIBLY busy -- one of the only open local coffee spots in the city from the storm -- and there were just 2 lovely ladies working. Before it got crazy busy, I had a moment to chat with one of the owners and she let me know her passion lies in holistic living and she felt a coffee bar would be a great addition to her business. They prioritize local ingredients, make organic syrups in house, and also sell some high-quality snacks as well. I got a blueberry latte and it was DELICIOUS. I mean, cute and chic spot with fine coffee right in Ft Pierce is cool enough on its own. My son and I split any ice cream sandwich from Sutton Dairy while we waited and wow need to find more of that ice cream. Perfectly made dry cappuccino, barista was super nice and friendly. I went there this afternoon and had a wonderful experience. First, I called and spoke to Laura, the owner, to schedule the appointment. The customer service and her friendly voice immediately put me at ease because initially I had no clue what to expect. But her positive and attractive demeanor made me very excited to experience the salt therapy session. Second, it's easy to find and the nautical decor is calming and appealing. They also have a "kids room" for children who could benefit from this therapy. The set up is wonderful! The kids room looks like a classroom with interactive activities, chairs and table. Whereas the "adult room" is like stepping on a soft beach of salt where one wall in the large room is from top to bottom surfaced with salt. There is this calming pinkish-yellow hue in the room that feels perfect for relaxing. (I was so excited to relax that I almost forgot to actually relax!) There are maybe eight (can't remember exact count) extremely comfortable lounge chairs that face the walls and are separated by partitions. So you feel completely relaxed and unaware that there may be others also enjoying the therapy as well. You wear comfy clothes or come on your lunch break. Breathe deeply, listen to calming sounds and then Laura will wake you up in 45 minutes! I don't suffer from chronic problems like lupus, COPD, sinusitis (which are all issues that salt therapy can assist in relieving somewhat), but I don't sleep well usually and so therefore I will enjoy my sleep tonight for sure, as this does help with getting good sleep. I feel so relaxed and much calmer. It's not a one time fix, but a "stacking" of sessions to get the most as was told to me. I plan to make this a regular part of my "me time" I so desperately need. I hope Laura and Southern Salt Therapy are around a long time! Thank you!!! read more
