Very walkable even though rather large b/c buildings are strategically arranged around a pond. They have tons of dorms on the outer rim of the property. Most buildings are newer or updated. Very clean everywhere. The auditorium is gigantic & newer. The cafeteria is huge & brand new w/ stations of every fare & lotsa variety. All the food was impressive & even a cook your own station. Facilities & grounds were great. Athletic center was better than I expected too.

Antioch gave me an outstanding education and opened the world up to me. Since graduation I have been to over 70 countries and worked in cutting edge scientific research in both academia and industry. Although Antioch College has had financial difficulties recently the spirit of it survives and offers hope to teach and develop future leaders that will change the future of America and the world. I chose Hampshire College in Amherst, MA over Antioch because of the closer proximity to my hometown, and because I did want a slightly larger campus culture. When I was finally able to visit Antioch (& Yellow SprIngs) on a road trip out West after my first year at Hampshire I was prettty confident I'd made the right choice. Antioch would have been the wrong choice for me. It was too small and isolated a campus. Yellow Springs also was a cute and eclectic little town, BUT, it was TOO small and out in the middle of nowhere.

I attended Marshall University from 1989-1994. It has changed a lot since I graduated, but what…read morehasn't changed is my love for MU. I studied public relations in the school of journalism. My bachelors degree, persistence, and God's blessings have taken me further than I could have ever imagined! There were a few things that attracted me to Marshall. I liked that I could walk from one end of campus to the other in roughly ten minutes. And my parents lived less than an hours drive from Huntington. And lastly, they offered a tuition discount because my hometown in Kentucky was nearby. I was employed at the book store through the work study program. I could stop in for an hour, go to class and come back and work for a few hours. I loved the flexibility! The two pain points were registering for classes which meant standing in line in the basement and praying the classes I wanted were still open when I got to the front of the line. The other headache was completing the financial aid form and waiting to speak to a counselor. Now, neither is an issue because students can register for classes and fill out the FASFA form online. I've stayed connected to Marshall through volunteering on local alumni boards first in Baltimore, MD and now in Jacksonville, FL. Marshall has and is growing tremendously both the campus and the student body. I still enjoy attending football and basketball games when I'm in town visiting my family. I wouldn't change my college experience for anything! The education and life-long friendships are priceless;)))

Then when my family and I took a tour of the campus we had lunch at one of the dining halls which was awesome. After my family and I met Mrs. Bianca who is the Autism Training center coordinator We we're really excited to have the opportunity for me(Brady McPherson) to have the opportunity possibly be a part of the Autism program that Marshall University had to offer. I am also excited because I recently got into Marshall University and am really looking forward to having the opportunity to Study Special Education for 4 years I will be an Incoming Freshman Next year for the Fall 2024-2025 year . Hands on learning isn't something that just new, it been the way for over 70 years. Full professors teaching smaller classes that make you work. Add community service hours, jobs that the college will help you find, a student's life will be filled quickly. Most still find time to join the many different social group including the Greek groups where live long bonds are formed. I and many alumni got into top grad schools that Wilmington did everything it could to help. Alumni can come back for employment assistance also. After talking to grads of larger schools and seeing personally how much help they weren't, I am glad I chose here over many bigger named schools.

It is a great little school, close to Cinci, not far from Columbus. My cousin studied physical therapy and they have a great program in that. At least back then, the Bengals had their summer training here. It's a nice campus, lots of very interesting buildings and plenty of green spaces. Wilmington itself looks like a good college town, with interesting shops downtown. I would have considered it when I was looking, and it would be on the list for our daughter if her parents' alma maters weren't at the top of the list... A couple of observations on the athletic center. The Fighting Quakers? Funny. Anyway, an nice facility overall. Good layout, plenty of parking and seating. Concessions were good- I think the burgers were fresh off the grill. The sound system at the game was awful- I could not make out what the announcer was saying at all, and even music was murky.

I've enjoyed attending classes at each and have obtained a great deal from each. Thomas More is far and away my favorite institution of higher learning. The staff is amazingly knowledgeable and equally affable. The classes are small and personal and that makes all the difference. The campus is small and obtainable. And, the extra-curriculars are brilliant. You'll be doing yourself a huge favor, if you're indecisive about the school from which you'd like to matriculate, and you decide to check out Thomas More College. Great memories over four years at Denison University's athletic complex in Granville Ohio with…read moreWashU Swimming. The complex is maybe ten years old, but looks new. It houses indoor track, tennis and swimming. My visits after Thanksgiving have been at their annual Denison Invitational Meet with my son. The school uses the opportunity to fundraise the local food bank. My specific experience with the school is through swimming only. So the rating has nothing to do with academics, although I know from ratings and word of mouth it is a strong D3 school. The pool is a looker. It's a 50 meter with diving wells. They also installed a very large spectator area to hold large events like conference and the Denison Invitational. However, a star deduction with air quality issues over the years. This makes competing much harder. So long Denison University. My son has graduated out of this meet and it will be missed. Not just the facility, but the people and memories it holds.

The first time that I went there to watch a Special Olympics Powerlifting competition, there was a pool that was smaller than it is now before the Trumbull Aquatic Center was built. The pool is very fast and recently hosted the South Central Regional Swim Meet for Special Olympics Ohio. The lockers were great, except there was no hot water to take a shower possibly due to the weather. I would to come back to the Trumbull Aquatic Center at The Mitchell Center to swim with an alumni person and current team members. Thank you Denison University for the Aquatic Center.

The dorms are actual apartments, not cement walls. The tuition is low, and people actually get jobs when they leave. You cannot beat the views. The town welcomes new students, and there are things to do in town, like antiquing, food, etc. Everyone is really nice. Don't listen to the old posts. They are old posts for a reason.
