This Home Depot is great besides the employee I dealt with when taking tools out of the locked area. Asked for help, he came over and told me to walk over to the register and make sure to do the right thing after handing me the power tools. He was implying that I shouldn't steal which is extremely unprofessional. Very disrespectful and does not know how to talk to customers. read more

I think this location had a young man named Anthony working there. He was so helpful and actually knew about different areas of the store. Helped me cut my blinds and give me background about the different kinds for different rooms in my house. So often, hardware stores have employees that don't know anything other than aisle locations. So refreshing to have a helpful and friendly person on staff. Give this man a raise. read more

It's the Home Depot. You know what it is, you know what they do, and you know what to expect. The big thing to know about this Home Depot is that it's in a shopping area that is absolutely slammed on a Saturday. All other days seem to be fine, but getting in and out of the parking lot on a Saturday is a chore. It's a good store, with good people. Just crazy traffic on Saturday. YMMV. read more

I have always hated going to this store and now it doubled as of today. I went in after reviewing an item on their website that said they had some in stock. I go in searching as it is sale from black Friday and it was cheaper than Costco. I tried to flag down some workers who vertually ignored me, and went the other way walking and chatting. I get a hold of one guy who says yah I know I have seen this, so we start walking the store. So we can't find it and says I can do a willcall for when they come in. I asked to speak to the manager as this shows it in stock on line. He says this could be an issue with the numbers as well, as I can see this is an excuse. He gets on the phone and calls for the manager, who says he or she is busy and can't come. What kind of Manager does not come and assist a customer? I used to work for Home Depot part time, so I know how this works and I would never work for them again. Anyways I go to the service desk and I purchase two on willcall and went home. I get home and get a phone call the items were found on an end cap to come and pick them up. Well isn't special I have to run back down and waist my gas because one the Manager did not want to help a customer, two the associates are just walking around chit chatting instead of ingaging the customers - becasue they know nothing. So the only good point I found was the women at the customer service desk who took my order, gave me my military discount, and said she will contact me as soon as the items come in. I cring every time I have to go there as I need a part. Overall the satisfaction of this Home Depot is a -2. read more

I come here because it is close. To find anything, I have to look for it myself. Never ever have I been able to get anyone to help me. Tonight I bought over $1,000 in materials. Wood, Trek, vinyl posts, etc. and my sister and I had to load carts ourselves. A couple of times a worker walked right by us and saw us struggling. Did he offer to help? Nope! Couldn't find a certain screw and I literally had to step in fro t and wave a worker Dow. I'm from California and just moved here several months ago. Sorry, service was better there. The people here are not only nice but they're helpful. I find there's the perfect mix of enough employees around to ask you if you need help but not so many that you feel pestered. They are also knowledgeable. If they don't know the answer they try to find someone on the team that does. Clean store and well stocked. Prices are reasonable too! read more

At times this place has staff that is being pulled in a million directions, but they store employees work their butts off to assist to the best of the abilities. The store has great selection, it's clean and well organized. I come here for pretty much every fix. read more

I have shopped at this store since they opened and usually have wonderful service but the woman in the paint department is rude and unprofessional. I asked her if she was the paint person and she said "yes I am". and then turned her back on me and ignored me. Very disappointed with the service. With a quick Google search of "Home Depot Riverdale Utah Hours", I got "Open till 10:00 PM" (11/10/22). Being 20 Minutes away and it only being 8:45 PM, I chose to take my furry K9 friends for a ride with me. Apon entering the store, I heard an announcement saying, "Store will be Closing in two Minutes". Although the staff was helpful with finding what I was in need of, I felt rushed. I ended up purchasing MORE than I needed because of this. Now I have to make a return trip to get a refund on what was not needed (20-minute drive one way). When questioning an employee during checkout, they stated the hours were changed "last Monday" (11/07/22). I was happy that I still made it there before "closing" and got the parts I needed but would have been EXTREAMLY disappointed if they were closed. Best to call first, but you could miss your window by doing so. After further research, looks like YELP and the actual website have the hours correct. Google's problem? Maybe... read more

If I could do zero stars I would. I ordered a door from this Home Depot. It was a very simple exterior double door. 2x6 jam. No windows. Nothing special. Just the regular 6 panel, white, run of the mill door. The rough opening measurements were unique though. They gave me a normal delivery date of roughly 7-10 days until I could pick it up. After the ten days they gave me a call and told me my door was an addition 28 days out. Making it over a month until I would receive my door, thus putting me weeks behind schedule. When I finally received the door, it was the wrong size. I gave specific measurements for a rough opening and did not get what I ordered. When I mentioned the door was the wrong size I was just brushed off and told, "yeah, whatever". Horrible, horrible service. Unbelievable. Allen Allred posting this, not Camielle. read more

Honestly, if I could rate my last two experiences at the Riverdale, I would give them a zero. This is a copy from the email I sent to the customer care line that precisely describes the events I encountered. Yesterday, I went to this location to buy a 10 inch compound miter saw. When I arrived, I stood around waiting for help, no one came. Finally had to ask customer service if I could get help with a purchase. There were no more saws on the floors, so the employee told me I had to "wait two hours for them to get the pallet down". I refused and asked if I could put one on hold and pick it up the next day, aka today. I purchase the saw and all my other items after having to wait AGAIN in customer service line for 30 minutes without anyone helping me. The lady told me to come back today, show my ID and pick up the saw. I did exactly that but customer service did not hold the saw for me, instead, they informed me that I had to go get it off the sales floor and bring it back to them. What is the purpose of putting an item on hold then? I proceed to get the item and go back to customer service. This time, a gentleman, told me I was all clear and I could leave. I was stopped at the door by ANOTHER employee and told I could not leave. She asked to see my receipt, I did not have the original paper receipt on me, (the lady yesterday told me I did not need it and only needed my ID), so instead, I showed her the ELECTRONIC RECEIPT. Apparently the electronic receipts are WORTHLESS. I was held there like a criminal and escorted to customer service ONCE AGAIN. This time a different lady asked a bunch of questions: my receipt, who told you this, what did you buy yesterday, why didn't I get it yesterday. This felt more like an interrogation than a sales transaction, as I held up my electronic receipt and told her the whole story of the poor service. Finally, the lady looked up my name in the computer and saw the item on "Will-Call", she then berated me about "You should of said you had it on Will-Call." Why is it MY job to find the object in the computer system and show them that I had already purchased the saw? This is NOT acceptable at all in a retail setting. I had ALREADY purchased the item, which the store DID NOT hold for me, like they promised. I was then treated like a criminal and degraded by the employees without a "Sorry" or "Our mistake". I've had great experiences at this Home Depot previously, but after the last two visits, it's hard to see myself going back. read more

Went to order carpet from this store and was told that I should be able to have it installed around the 12th or 13th as long as I chose one of their "72 hour carpets". They finally just got me on the schedule for the 19th. By 72 hours they mean whenever they get around to it. Won't make that mistake again, I mean going to home depot instead of RC Willey. read more

Bought blinds there a week ago and they cut them wrong even after repeatedly telling them the right measurement . went home and tried mounting my blinds only to find out they were the wrong size. So annoying! Ended up having to make another trip to get them cut again but at a different home depot. Friendly customer service but frustrated with the experience. read more

I'm very disappointed in the service I received (or didn't). I contacted Riverdale Home Depot. The lady was very nice and put my information to have someone call me about getting a quote for our vinyl fence. Someone did call within 48 hours as I was told. We set up an appointment for someone to come today, August 24th, at 9AM to give us a quote. I've been waiting around and it is 10:21AM and no one has showed up yet. I'm very disappointed and a little frustrated. I'm a busy mom and waited around to get this quote and no one showed up. read more

After trying to purchase appliances online, and their system not working, I went into the store and purchased 5 appliances. They were delivered on 8/28/17. Several problems to take note of. The delivery guys show up with their pants way down showing their rears.......Washing machine and dishwasher were both damaged. They hooked up the water line to the refrigerator and left it leaking. They told me I would not get my other appliances (replacements for the damaged ones for another week) I promptly went to the store and talked to the manager on duty who assured me he would have a specialist on it at 5 the next morning and I would get a call. The next day at 2 PM I go in again, because surprise, no phone call......He had not even communicated it to his "specialist" and her response was "sorry , next week is the best we can do" She acted like she didn't even care. My recent experience with this Home Depot store in Riverdale Utah was not a good one. On April 1st I ordered a solid core interior door from them and the ordering process was okay. They told me the door would be delivered to their store on the 22nd of April. Two weeks later I get an email saying the door would be in on the 27th of April. The next day I get an email saying it would be delivered on the 28th. The 28th rolls around and at 8:00 AM I get another email confirming that my door would be there that day on the 28th. I called Home Depot at 6:00 PM to confirm that my door was ready for pickup and they told me they didn't see it yet but the truck wasn't done being unloaded and that they should be done unloading in about an hour and that they would call me back and let me know. 8:00 PM rolls around I still have yet to hear back from them so I call and they tell me that they didn't receive the door and didn't know what happened and that they had someone the day before have the same issue with a door that they were expecting. I asked to speak with a manager and he told me that he would have someone look it up in the morning when the manufacture of the door was open and would have them call me and let me know what was up. Next day rolls around I wait patiently for the call and it doesn't happen. Finally around 4:00 I decide I will drive to Home Depot to talk to someone. I was able to talk with a manager who is over the door department and explain to her the situation and she looks it up in the computer and can't give me any answers on where my door is and tells me that the manufacture is closed on weekends and that she will call me first thing Monday morning. Monday comes and she does call and with a snotty tone to her voice she lets us know that the door should be in later in the afternoon and that I need to make sure I call them before i come to pick it up to verify that it arrived because they are too busy to call me and let me know when it arrives. These managers they have need to learn that customer service needs to be #1 priority and to not act like the customer is inconveniencing them by trying to find out where there order is. Funny thing is that I picked up my door on May 1st and then two days later on the 3rd I get another email from home depot letting me know that the doors expected arrival date is May 2nd. I don't think I will be ordering from this store again. What a joke it has been. Customer service from managers was a joke. read more
