This spot kept popping up, so I checked it out--definitely didn't disappoint. Got a matcha and the big strawberry pastry stuffed with jam and soft cake. And yeah... you need a fork lol. The crunchy chocolate shell is actually really good. Coffee is moderately priced, pastries are a little expensive--but that's NYC + a viral trend. It gets pretty busy during the day with people working, so just a heads up.

I got the salmon and leeks and my friend got the chicken. Delicious. The service was very friendly. Our waitress was a delight. My only issue was the drinks. If you're going to charge $9 for a draft beer, it should be a pint. Charging $9 for a 6 oz glass of beer feels like a crime. Come on Baba Cool!

The store was pretty emptied at the time, and clerk informed about pricing per hour for game play (board and card games). I decided to skip the games, since all I wanted was some food to-go. Got the pastry and a latte drink. The pastry was a bit off; cheese filling was too sour and the pastry just didn't taste that fresh. The girl working as the barista and cashier was very nice and friendly. She had a nice presence and warm smile, made suggestions, and even gave a stranger free utensils when they popped on to ask.
