Used to love flying on southwest when your bags would be free but now that they have changed I…read moredon't know. This was my first time flying with them since the change. Seems like they nickel and dime you for everything. So many options for seating and so many additional charges. Bags are now 35 a piece. The nice thing is that you can select your seat. No more worries about not getting to sit with your family. The seats on this flight seems to me a bit more spacious, enough leg room for me and I am 6'2". The plane did seem newer. They had usb ports in the seats for easy phone charging. My flight took off and landed on time, though I know that's largely out of the airline's control. I would still fly for short trips that I only need a carry on.

Yelp Review 2026 #189:…read more Flying from Jamaica and back home, I flew with Southwest because it was free for me. Southwest posts videos of how great, friendly and happy their staff and passengers are. However, this particular experience from Baltimore to Vegas was far from that. First, my boarding gate kept changing from B to A and back to B2 to B12. Our flight was delayed. Second, I'm in boarding group 2 with a seat in the 2nd row. I had a carry-on and a backpack. I had nowhere to put my carry-on in the front because people in row 4-6 put their carry-ons and backpacks in the overhead bin above row 2! How did the flight attendants not catch this? I was going to put my carry-on above row 1 and the flight attendant tells me it won't fit when I put the same carry-on above row 1 in my previous flight! A nice gentleman offers to put my carry-on above row 4 and he also grabbed it for me when we landed. Thank goodness for him because the flight attendants were useless. I don't expect them to carry carry-ons but at least make sure people are placing their stuff above their assigned seats. I had Choice Extra. "Southwest Airlines uses eight numbered boarding groups. Group 2 is for Choice Extra fares, passengers who purchase an Extra Legroom seat, and A-List Preferred members. This group boards just after pre-boarding and Group 1. It ensures you get early access to overhead bin space. Extra Legroom seat customers get a complimentary premium snack on flights over 301 miles. Regular snacks are free on all flights over 251 miles. Premium snack options include: Wonderful® Pistachios (No Shells, Roasted & Salted)Siete® Mini Grain Free Mexican Wedding CookiesBobo's® Strawberry Stuff'd Oat BiteBlue Diamond® AlmondsRITZ® Cheese Cracker Sandwiches." Third, the flight attendants gave pistachios to people in row 1, 3-4 and completely skipped our row. Not that I need another bag or pistachios but it was as if we didn't exist! Fourth, there was no power outlet. Fifth, they're clearly understaffed. The poor gate agent was pushing people in wheelchairs, scanning their tickets, making announcements all by himself! This man needs a raise and recognition.

Contour Airlines is a small airline I discovered as a quick and convenient way to get from the DC…read morearea to Macon, Georgia without having to go through the hustle and bustle of stopping in Atlanta first. I have flown this airline numerous times and the service on board is fantastic. There is ample leg room, full sized snacks, and the air hostesses are always friendly. To make things even better, you can check in pretty close to departure time without fear of missing your flight unlike bigger carriers. Additionally the prices can be pretty great ranging from as low as 40-50 dollars each way. Additionally, you are allowed to carry one suitcase complimentary, and it is also pretty easy to switch around flights to the day of. Cons: The only con about flying on board is the lack of wi-fi, and the size of the jet. It's a small plane with room for about 30 or so, so any bump in the sky you really feel. Additionally, the pilots will just be dropping us out of the sky like we're modeling a step function. While those are my only cons about my actual flying experience, I do have my gripes about contour's customer service and their website. On my last flight, I was trying to switch my flight days. Two options were given. One flight that was the same as my previous flight, so it displayed as 0.00$ and another flight that was $130 more. No matter what option I selected, I was met with an error. Contour has a policy where changes can be made online for free but a $25 fee is incurred when changes are made over the phone. Because I was being met with an error on the website, I had to email and call the customer service. When I tried to communicate with customer service they were incompetent not even reading my email to answer the questions that I had posed. Furthermore, when I called, I was met with nasty attitudes all around. Additionally they were trying to charge me $25 extra for the change despite the fact that I was only calling because their website was down. Lastly, they would not let me select the ticket that was the same price as my original ticket because they said it was not available despite the fact that it was still a valid option online. Because of this I truly believe that contour is a greedy, company that I will no longer fly.

Now, it's American Airlines that I frequent, along with past America West Airlines and US Airways patrons. I find that, as with any other airline, customer service is often better than not, but there are always a few hiccups. With American Airlines, you can get someone on the phone, on a chat, on social media, or in person to assist, and with some respect on our part, we can often get what we need. I rarely have luggage issues, though there was one time when my bag was damaged, and American Airlines gave me a replacement while they repaired my original. I regularly fly in and out of the American Airlines gates at Phoenix Sky Harbor and frequent hubs like Dallas-Fort Worth, Chicago O'Hare, Philadelphia, and Charlotte. I even make it out to Washington DC on occasion, having either visited the area or have a layover through as I did today. Often, my travels require a connecting flight, and my flights are, more often than not, on time and without delays in departure or arrival. With status, an American Airlines credit card, and membership in CLEAR and Global Entry, I do not pay for luggage, receive priority luggage handling, board early, speed through security, sometimes receive upgrades, and access lounges. Traveling has become more of a hobby and a habit, and with American Airlines as my go-to airline, I accumulate miles quickly while also earning status and Loyalty Point rewards. I have two travel premium credit cards: the AAdvantage Executive Mastercard, which offers complimentary Admirals Club access, and the American Express Platinum card, which offers lounge access, travel credits, and complimentary CLEAR and Global Entry memberships. With these two credit cards, I can access the Admiral's Club at Orlando International Airport or The Club at MCO. I may even be able to visit the Plaza Premium Lounge, though I've never checked. Also, through T-Mobile, I received free Wi-Fi on American Airlines flights (though now it is free for anyone with an AAdvantage account). Through my American Airlines AAdvantage status, I get upgrades or free paid snacks and drinks on flights, along with other benefits. To retain status each year, you need to earn Loyalty Point through flying, credit card spending, and promotions. You can also earn Loyalty point rewards after hitting 175,000 points, 250,000 points, and so on. While it is difficult to receive upgrades due to the large number of people at the Executive Platinum status tier, the benefits I do receive are worthwhile. I have also experienced technical issues on flights, but not enough to cause me to abandon American Airlines, especially when every other airline faces the same challenges. All in all, American Airlines is a great company and does as well, if not better than, any of the other major airlines.

Customer Service certainly could improve. But part of that service, in addition to the reps who you…read morespeak to on the phone, is having a RELIABLE flight schedule. I am looking at Yelp reviews from 4 years ago which sound exactly like my experience today. A delayed flight in Vermont caused a group of 4 to miss our connecting flight, which inexplicably decided to leave 10 minutes EARLY as we were RUNNING to our gate. Unnecessary. Then we call the airline and get some rude woman and then her rude supervisor, neither of whom knew American Airline's policy on accommodation when THEIR flight delay caused us to be stranded in D.C. overnight. They both told us we didn't qualify for hotel rooms and food vouchers, which was not correct. Finally I called and got a different representative with completely different results. This morning we arrived at the airport hours early and...you guessed it, our flight is delayed once again. I hate Frontier Airlines for their predatory bag fees, but American Airlines' issue is customer service based. DO BETTER AA. Do better! Monitor your customer service reps calls. And get your flights on schedule. People spend a lot of money on travel plans. The airline flight schedule should NOT be unreliable. I will be very wary of using this airline in the future. I certainly cannot recommend it.

The flight there was fine. Got offered champagne before takeoff then fed a meal. The chose the cheese plate on the way there. Got the usual warm nuts to start. Ordered a few glasses of red wine and had a seltzer water as well. I was on the redeye, so was able to take a quick nap. The flight back, the plane was a little older. Felt slightly dingier. No champagne before takeoff offered. Got the usual nuts. For my meal, I got the Tomato and burrata manicotti and got a few glasses of champagne. Also took a nap here as well. There was a sharks and a warriors game while I was on the plane. Was able to stream after buying wifi. Both flights were fine, tho I do think if you fly first you should get access to the lounge. I believe they only do it on one of their routes domestically from SFO to EWR, but if you are flying basically the same amount of time, you should also get access. They rebooked on some random flight that was 24 hours long. I spent over 2 hours on the phone (mostly on hold) at 1am trying to reschedule our flight and choose our seats since I paid to choose my seats. The Delta phone agent was extremely rude and not helpful. She informed me to speak to the Delta representative or agent at the airport for a possible bag credit for all this inconvenience. When we arrived to BWI airport (Baltimore Metro) the in-person Delta agent was the nastiest rudest person I have ever met. Not only was she disrespectful she did not care what the phone rep had told us and would not even print our boarding passes. Due to Delta cancelling our flights. We had to take a longer flight that left earlier and landed later. Those changes made us change our transportation to and from the airport. Now I had additional out of pocket expenses for parking and Ubers. That I would not have had if the original flight had been kept. When we finally arrived in Honolulu, the pilot arrive to early and then we missed our gate time window and we spent and extra hour on the plane before we can debark. Both the phone and in-person agent informed me that I could make a complaint on Delta's website. I made a formal complaint on 8.3.26 on Delta's website and received a generic no-reply email that they would respond within 48 hours. I have never heard anything from Delta. Delta has no empathy to anyone's situation. Their customer service agents need more training and lack any customer service skills.

I wasn't notified until after I paid the taxi to transport me, paid for a COVID test, and needed to find a place to stay for the night. The JetBlue employees were no help and didn't know what to say when I asked about hotel accommodations. They asked me to wait around the airport until someone could figure out instead of suggesting to call or text me. If my flight is canceled and I haven't eaten why would I want to wait around for an update that hasn't been given a time frame? By the time they called to give an update on the accommodations it was two/three hours later. They expected me to travel back to the airport with my finances to get the voucher, but I asked how long it would take and once again they weren't able to give me a response. They expected me to travel back to the airport and wait around for the bus driver but we're unable to give a set time of their scheduled arrival. As a result of missing my flight I have had to pay back deposits to customers that I will no longer be able to service. My flight was rescheduled for Sunday, April 3rd at 11:45am the next day. I arrive at the airport at 8am and receive an email that my flight has been delayed until 2pm. Shortly after the first notice I received about the delay in the flight that no one at your company knew about, the employee told me my flight was still scheduled at the original time and to grab my bags. Maybe 15mins later the system updated and she was able to see what the email had already told me. Why am I as a customer getting notified way before your actual employees? Maybe 10mins after the JetBlue system finally updated the JetBlue employee then informs me that my flight was once again canceled and wouldn't be leaving until tomorrow afternoon. At this point I have traveled to the airport 3 times at $40 a ride and another $40 to leave the airport yet again. I asked again on this second day of cancelations and was informed that none of the JetBlue passengers would be compensated with hotel vouchers or anything. We were instructed that we needed to figure it out on our own. The two extra nights in Jamaica cost me $500 total to take care of my sleeping arrangements. The worse part about all of it is even after all of these inconveniences I was still put on another flight for Monday, April 4th that will be taking me to Orlando, Florida for another over night stay that will be paid for by me because JetBlue refused to make accommodations after canceling multiple flights. As a result of JetBlue canceling two flights back to back and blaming the lack of crew members being available has cost me my job. I have been taken off the schedule until things can get resolved somehow. And on top of that my family is dealing with some pressing issues that I am needed for but haven't been able to attend due to the unprofessional and just outright despicable behavior from JetBlue and it's trained employees. As a result of all of these issues created by JetBlue, with no attempt at correcting the situation I am requesting 4 complimentary round trip tickets to destinations of my choosing equal to the flight cost necessary to travel to Jamaica and neighboring islands/countries. I almost missed my flight to DCA from Orlando because I was sitting at the gate on my ticket and not the actually gate that the plane was leaving from. NO ONE SENT OUT AN EMAIL OR ANYTHING!!!! There needs to be an email address available for customers to make formal complaints. The live chat agents are not effectively or efficient with handling important issues. The live agent I received was rude, unhelpful, and disrespectful. So when I want to file a complaint against the live agent, I am expecting to contact another live agent? That makes no sense!!! How is a JetBlue customer or employee suppose to email the company concerns? Why don't the supervisors have this information ready for customers. The Supervisor, YesAnne, was rude, unknowledgeable, and lied about being the supervisor when I asked to speak to one when arriving on Sunday after the first canceled flight.
