The live a boards in this Marina causes problems because they believe they have the authority to police the marina. Tom has raised the slips every year he has owned this Marina and if a slip holder asks why Tom becomes defensive and yells. However the docks and piers still need repairs and his main concerns are new bathrooms which are not cleaned or stocked on a regular basis. Tom is in for a surprise when he finds out how many of his long time slip holders are looking for a "new marina to call home"

The fare is $5 cash one way (I've never done cash) or $40 or $50 for a 10-trip ticket (depending on where you're traveling to and from). From Burtonsville Park & Ride to downtown DC, it's $50 for a 10-trip ticket that you can buy online at mta.maryland.gov, and it comes in the mail within a few days. Takes about an hour to get to points downtown (but longer during rush hour), but you can sleep, read, listen to music, swipe on Tinder, or talk quietly. Best of all, you're not driving, accumulating miles on your car, or burning gas while some jerk cuts you off. It's all-around eco-friendly to take a commuter bus. I'm not sure if there's a bathroom in the back, but I suspect there might be. Lots of people get off at Silver Spring, and the bus is practically empty when you get to, say, Farragut West (19/L NW area). Overall, this lot is really convenient, and a number of buses are served here. The 305 bus, at least, doesn't fill up to 100% capacity, but you're not always likely to get a window seat. It is consistently on time or just a few minutes behind. Super reliable! Note that there are some rude people who park their behinds in the aisle seat so that they can hog both seats and avoid anyone sitting next to them, but hopefully these kinds of lowlifes are few and far between.
