Dr. Lin's calm welcoming demeanor allows for your worries to fade away during your visit. I love how he addresses what needs to be addressed and moves on. I promise you, you will not be there any longer than you need to be. The front desk lady that I worked with during both of my visits was so kind and welcoming. I wish I remembered her name, because she deserves as much praise as Dr. Lin... In my opinion, getting checked in at places can be frustrating and sets the tone for your visit. If you have any worries, the lady with the tattoos at the front makes sure that you are comfortable and welcomed accordingly... Overall, I would recommend this facility to anyone...

No hand shake or a "I see you are a new patient". He asked questioned quickly without any interest. He looked and focused much more on his tablet than on the patient. Right off the bat he wanted to start all these crazy testing.. I mentioned to him again I am here to established myself's new patient and just follow up on my PSA As soon as I mentioned this to him again, he said no follow up. Literally opened the door and walked out the door and stood in the hallway still on his tablet, waiting for me to leave the room. I still had questions for him and instead of him walking back into the room, he stood there in the hallway where everybody can hear the questions I had for him I felt unwelcome, I felt he believed he is a God, big ego for sure. I felt he did not like the color of my skin. He rushed me out of and pointed the way out. I was polite to the staff, answered questions as needed and I treat people the way I would like to be treated. Besides that, one staff member is super nice. The place well kept them clean lots of parking. It's a place I would definitely not go and never recommend in my life. I should've read this reviews before going there.

At my last visit to the hospital for a small blocked bowel, the attending surgeon told me he needed to see me in 10 days and that we needed to find out what keeps causing the problem. I googled him and read the Doctor's Yelp review, it was only 3 and a half stars. I'm sure he's a good Doctor, but I wanted a great and out of this world Doctor. So, I punched "small blocked bowel" into google; only one Doctor's name came up, Dr. Ghazanfari. Then I read his Yelp reviews; they were outstanding. I gave his office a call and the rest is history. He lived up to his reviews. When I showed up to his office, he had already studied my visits to the ER, and came up with a plan for me. I was to go to get a diagnostic laparoscopy. Before, I went for my laparoscopy on July 12th, Dr. Ghazanfari prepared me for the upcoming laparoscopy. He told me of the best that could happen (quick fix) or the worst outcome (tumor/taking out a section of intestine). Thankfully, it was an easy fix! I've learned that bedside manner is a good thing, but not always necessary. One of the most important things for a Doctor to have is genius or maybe intuition? I'm happy to say that Dr. Ghazanfari has both! Not only that, he has an excellent bedside manner! Sorry, I took so long. But, I'm a very sickly person with bizarre illnesses. I'm sure there are many like me out there. So I wanted to put a great, big, flashing arrow towards Dr. Ghazanfari if you have a small blocked bowel or any problem internally.

I want to be very precise here, because Dr. Ghazanfari deserves precision -- it's the one thing he…read moreclearly never extended to me. Three weeks after my hernia surgery, I have an open, actively draining wound at my incision site. I'm not describing a little redness or normal bruising. I mean an open wound. I contacted AzEliteSurgeons because I was concerned -- reasonably, I'd argue -- that something was wrong. Dr. Ghazanfari refused to see me. His recommendation, delivered without an in-person evaluation of a surgical wound he created: Neosporin. This is the same physician who, at my post-op follow-up, spent approximately five seconds looking at my healing site before declaring everything "fine" and moving on. Five seconds. I've waited longer for an elevator. I understand that surgeons are busy. I understand that not every concern warrants alarm. What I do not understand -- and what no patient should ever have to accept -- is a surgeon who operates, collects payment, and then considers his obligation discharged. A wound complication at three weeks post-op is not a pharmacy problem. It is a follow-up problem. It is *his* problem, and he chose to make it mine. If you are considering AzEliteSurgeons: the surgery may go fine. It's everything after that you should worry about. The moment you are no longer on the table, you are no longer a priority. I am now seeking care elsewhere for a wound that should have been addressed by the physician who caused it.

The bigger problem came when my prescription dosage was handled incorrectly. I had to go back and forth between the doctor's office and the pharmacy multiple times trying to get it corrected, which should never happen. When I tried to resolve the issue, the office manager got on the phone and immediately became confrontational. She talked over me, raised her voice, and when I tried to speak up just to be heard, she threatened to discharge me from the practice. Shortly after, I was in fact discharged, and my prescription was canceled at the pharmacy. At no point did anyone take accountability for the mistake or attempt to resolve the situation professionally. Based on my experience and the number of similar complaints about staff behavior I strongly recommend going somewhere else for care.

I've waited a year since the surgery to leave a review. Hoping I would get better but it is not. It was the most painful recovery I've ever been through. Just horrible. I had a bladder lift and rectocele repair. I'm careful not to strain to go pee. But I do have to twist to the left in order to empty my bladder all the way. I read another woman said the same thing. So I don't know if this is normal. One thing I can say about Dr Akl is that he is a down-to-earth communicator. A little different from other doctors who have one foot out the door while talking to you. I read the other reviews. And it seems like Dr. Akl will do surgery when no one else will. But on the other hand, he might do surgery that wasn't really necessary. The bottom line is to get a second opinion. And yes, his office staff is a bit unconventional. But they got me in right away when I was having problems after surgery. And I think it's great that they don't put up with people who get all upset throwing a tantrum because their insurance doesn't cover something. They are real people , and they do get the job done
