I understand people are overly stress about covid but don't take it out on shops! On with my review! Mid april i wanted to buy a mountain bike and i kinda knew it would be difficult to find a full suspension in my price point because every place i checked was sold out. So i walked in this store and i could say it was off putting because it was so busy and it didn't seem like they had enough people working in the store. As i was walking around checking inventory a guy said you need help i'll be right with you ( he was helping 3 other people ) Dave came over 5-10 minutes later said what can i do for you. He found me a bike in the price point and over the next week he found a part i needed to hook a kids trailer to my bike. Did all this looking stuff up on the computer answering phones and trying to take care of everyone walking in the door lol.. At one point i didn't think he would remember about a part he was going to have them install when they got my bike in... I was wrong, not only did he remember the part he had them put it on right away. I watched Dave take care of customers 1 after another and a few at a time over 2 weeks. One lady had a problem with something she bought there, Dave looked her in the eye said i have never seen this happen before in over 15 years so you tell me what you want to do for you to walk out happy, i'll refund your money in full or give you another unit ( i think it was a bike rack maybe) . She wanted a new unit and dave made the bike builder stop what he was doing to build this ladies unit on the spot! I am a huge fan of this shop now, it's like that 80's bike shop before corporations, cool to talk to and they know there stuff about bikes. I ended up buying another bike for my wife today (so we can take a ride together) I found out 3 workers quit because of covid and their volume doubled because everyone wants bikes or getting there old bikes worked on. So when you walk in those doors have the mind set it's going to be a little disorganized but they will do right by you! Good Luck Everyone, Stay Safe.

They said it's usually same day service, but they were very busy so it might not be ready until Monday. I told them no rush. It must have been just an hour or 2 and they called saying it was ready. We went back to pick up the bike and the owner helped us put it back in the car. Very reasonably priced! Amazing service! I would highly recommend this bike shop to everyone.

The owner refused fixing it, tried to explain he didn't touch anything electric, still charged over $300 for repair without taking responsibility fixing the error code on the e-bike. I told him I will leave the bike till he fixes the errors code he refused fixing and said he will sell the bike to recover his repair money - awful experience- stay away from that place.

They told me I should just fix it, and to their credit, gave me some tips. The thing is, we're moving, selling our house, packing, etc. and I'd rather they just help out with a seatpost or offer to schedule a time for me to have them fix it. To me, it felt dismissive. I then inquired about a new bike, something I've been excited about the past few years and saving up for. I told them my budget for it which is on par for a small car, and they said "We aren't gonna have anything in that range." I was a bit shocked, and they clarified it's more due to Covid disrupting the supply vs demand. I know that's an issue, but again, dismissive to be shot down when I have the cash ready to go for a good new road bike. Overall it felt like they couldn't wait to be rid of me in the five minutes I was there. I got to know the folks are two now defunct bike shops and actually enjoyed going in to them. This one definitely didn't bring it for me like the past ones. I get it, they're in a high dollar area and can afford to get by without the friendly neighborhood shop feel, but it's not for me, and I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

I asked about the price of a tune-up; he said "$150, but you don't need a full tune-up. We will only charge what you need." I asked about the crank shaft. He said it was fine. I had issues with the brake lines, but no crank shaft issues. This is significant because I went to the Erik's on 135th St., Overland Park, KS before going to the 95th St. location. I was told the crank shaft needed to be replaced and the cost would be about $147 (including labor). They said if the bike can't be repaired, I could get a comparable bike for $850. I am so glad I followed my instincts at went to the 95th St. location for a second opinion. Great service and honest values goes a long way and I will always return to Erik's on 95th St. Thank you!

The way he spoke with my daughter to help fit her to the right bike was just so sweet. He was helpful and encouraging of her. He was also very respectful. Always asking if he could hold on to her shoulder to show her how to ride or to hold my son's head to try on the helmet. No. I'll never visit…read morethis place again. "Come for the deals!" There are scant deals. Maybe I'm mistaken, but pricing wasn't much more than retail sales. I believe everything in here comes from Dick's Sporting Goods, but Dick's isn't known for great pricing. I haven't been there in a hundred years it feels like, and the last time I was in one I left - per usual - empty handed. Hardest part of retail is getting the customer through the door. GOTTA CONVERT! Not me. Never convert me. Gotta have those deals on deals on deals... Maybe I'm cheap? Maybe I'm smart? Whatever. My wife got a pair of shorts, Columbia, for $8. We also got some Chief's gear for $7. But it's mostly a sad Nordstrom Rack. 80% of this place is clothes, the other 15% is Shoes...and the remaining 5% is sporting junk. It reminded me of Sears Outlet, or any of those sad places you shop when you were tiny and poor: Flourescent lighting; Too much floor; HOSPITAL TILES; Carpet stolen from 1988 Macy's. I don't know, felt like a really nice thrift store. I hated it. Put up better signs, clearly convert me on the true price of things, maybe label each thing. I saw full retail tags everywhere and just left. My wife thought there might have been 8x11 paper tags on the end of isles, but the kids running this place could honestly care less, so there's that. Best best is to go onto the shop. If you are HARDCORE into mountain biking this is your local spot for Service & high end parts, Onestar had a LOT. Somehow they have parts you can't even get online and at a better price. Shop itself: It's a very small shop and there are party everywhere in kind of an organized disarray lol I just bought parts so I'm only reviewing this aspect. Parts: I was told he had a Carbon Revel Rascal Frame. He actually had a few! I asked about the frame (He was very knowledgeable) I needed a BB, sram cassette and a sram chain. I had to ask because it would have taken me a week to find the parts myself. But he got everything together and he gave me a really fair price. Cool knowledgeable guy with great parts at fair prices! what else do you need to know.
