We did find out that the Spicy Pork Bulgogi is not available anymore , but remains on tee menu as sold out. Service Get there early! Waited in line for a while and also not much seating inside or out. We were lucky to grab one open table outside. You grab a number after ordering and they bring the food to you. Self serve drinks. Ambiance The interior is small and it can be difficult to find close parking. If you don't mind walking from the next parking lot over, then you're good. Would I go back? Absolutely! Redemption Tour -- Mostly Successful Full disclosure: I got pretty sick after eating here in 2021 -- my spouse too -- and we swore off the place. To our credit, neither of us left a nasty review at the time; it happens in the restaurant business. But five years of watching them stay busy and still standing convinced me it was probably a one-off, so I gave Soy Bistro another shot. I ordered the Hot Chicken -- pan-seared, chargrilled chicken breast with Korean spices, served with house coleslaw and rice. The restaurant was clean, the service attentive, and a genuine highlight: self-serve beverages with large cups of ice-cold water, which I really appreciated. The coleslaw was crisp with a terrific dressing, and the rice was spot on. The chicken itself was a touch dry and could have really used a dipping sauce to pull it all together. At $15.50 -- closer to $20 after tax and tip, I wasn't wowed by the value on this particular dish. The cheesy skillets were flying out of the kitchen and looked amazing, clearly the crowd favorite for a reason. On our way up to Nashville to see a concert a few weeks ago, we wanted something yummy and local but that we could get in and out of fairly quickly. Soy Bistro seemed to fit that bill perfectly. We arrived for an early-ish dinner on a Friday and got in before a big rush. The restaurant is somewhat small but has patio seating and a handful of tables inside. You order at the counter. Employees were working hard during our visit carefully cleaning, sanitizing, and wiping down each table as guests left, which was nice to see. The single person bathroom was also very clean. Service was alsopolite and personable. I ordered the bibimbap skillet and my husband got gochujang chicken. Our food took a short time to be prepared but came out piping hot and fresh. We definitely enjoyed ourselves. My bibimbap was a fantastic blend of flavors and textures and I thought the different items were balanced well in terms of quantity. The rice got EXTRA crispy, which is just how I like it! I only wish I could have gotten more gochujang to add on top, as I like mine with a little more spiciness than what the amount it was served with allowed. Husband also liked the gochujang chicken. The egg on top was cooked perfectly, and the slaw-like salad on the side was crisp and fresh. The chicken was also sliced into tender chunks. A very high protein meal that was super filling! He did say he thought I out-ordered him because his meal was just a bit more basic/simple in terms of flavor than he expected. Still, he ate most of it and enjoyed it overall! We came to this place on a whim by searching on Yelp for places in the area, we didn't even know this was one of Guy Fieri's places until we got here! The place isn't fancy, but the food is excellent! It's a walk-up and order place, not a ton of seating and it was busy! But once we ordered, the food came to our table in a reasonable amount time and it was all so good! The flavor on my Bibimbap skillet was unreal, the crispy rice made it even better! Great! Gluten-free menu at counter. Got the bibambap skillet with no egg + gf gochugang sauce (I'm obsessed with gochugang). Wish it had spinach instead of a paltry amount of fresh romaine, but otherwise was crispy deliciousness. Sauce was a teensy but sweeter than needed (the version I eat back home has more of a smoky salty undernotes) but it was quite tasty and I understand why the place is popular! Very good. Soy Bistro has great food and great service. This really exceeded my expectations for a casual dining spot. I must be the last person to find this place because it was busy before noon on a Monday. The dining room has tables as well as four bar style seats. The dining room is clean and the employees were on top of cleaning tables as quickly as possible. The service was very friendly and attentive. I expected to receive my food and be on my own from there, but the employees kept checking on us. They brought takeout boxes when they noticed us finishing up and cleared trash right away. I also liked that they brought plenty of small share plates for appetizers and sharing food. They made dining alone with two kids as easy as it can be. The Edamame Hummus with Chips was delicious. I enjoyed the hummus and the honey drizzle on the chips was tasty. The Soy Orange Salad was a tasty and refreshing way to enjoy some vegetables. The Bibimbap Skillet was very good. I loved the texture that the crispy rice added to the skillet. The meat, egg, and veggies were good. I'd definitely order this again. My daughters enjoyed the kid's Chicken Fried Rice. It was a generous portion and they enjoyed it. We got there right when they opened on a weekday, and there were already only a few tables left! It's clear this is a popular spot to grab a bite. Previous reviews that mention a small parking lot are correct - but if you time it right, you should be able to snag a spot. At the recommendation of one of the Soy Bistro team members, we started with an order of the edamame hummus and chips. This was a unique appetizer option, and one I probably wouldn't have ordered on my own. The hummus was bright and fresh, and the housemade chips were tasty, although the honey drizzle threw me off just a bit. For my entree, I went with the Gochujang Chicken, which also came highly recommended. This saucy, sweet, and spicy chicken was served on top of a mountain of perfectly cooked rice, and topped with a beautiful fried egg. The salad situation on the side wasn't my favorite - but everything else was delicious, and this is definitely something I'd order again. My friend went with the chicken fried rice, which was a huge portion, and she had enough leftovers to make a second meal. While the food was tasty, it's the service at Soy Bistro that is truly memorable. A few different members checked on our table several times, and you can tell that these are folks that love to get to know their regulars. While both were absolutely phenomenal - well cooked & richly flavored - the bibimbap skillet took the lead and will be ordered again and again. The crunchiness of the rice may be a hit or miss, it was a bit too hard/burnt in a few areas so I may get it without the skillet next time. And they gave us free tacos because we were first time customers. I stumbled into this Korean gem expecting a quick bibimbap and maybe a side of kimchi, but I left with a full belly, a happy heart, and a new life goal to move in next door. The food? Let's just say my taste buds are still sending thank-you notes. The chicken was so tender it practically whispered sweet nothings to my fork, and the gluten-free options were so legit I double-checked with the waiter to make sure they weren't sneaking in some secret wheat just to mess with me. Spoiler: they didn't. They've got a whole gluten-free menu that's basically a love letter to celiacs, with dishes so flavorful you'd swear they invented umami. As a combo of these two shows I've become obsessed with some unique foods, and BiBimBap is one of them. I was so excited to hear about this DDD restaurant that had BiBimBap on the menu. I was also craving bulgogi but I couldn't eat that much. We were in town for business for my husband and this was my HANDS DOWN favorite meal of the entire trip. Bibimbap in Brentwood! Much more than soy lies within this bistro. A true delight! I had the Bibimbap--a skillet with rice, beef, and vegetables. The rice lies at the bottom and is steamed then cooked to a crisp. The cooking oil is liberally applied. The vegetables (carrots, onions) were tender. The beef was squared and juicy. The meal was balanced, hot, and fresh. What really stood out was the house gochujang (red chili) sauce. It is hearty, pasty, thick, and biting but not too hot or bitter. A real compliment to the Bibimbap! This hole-in-the-wall (or strip mall) has a reputation that is well deserved. Not overly pricey at less than 20 dollars per meal.
