This restaurant is located within the Nashville Farmers Market. There is a large, free parking lot attached. I chose a meal deal that came with a protein, rice or noodles, and a beverage. I chose Orange Chicken, rice, and a fruit tea. Everything was pretty good. There are tons of options available. The food is served via a buffet style format where you choose your options and the staff add the food into containers. The decor is pretty standard and the serving size is generous. read more

This is a quick place to get quick snacks for the kids. The kids saw someone with the tanghulu so they must have one each as well. It was $8.20 for one tanghulu each. The tanghulu was already premade so she handed us after we paid for it within two minutes. They also have boba tea and food. The prices seem a little high for the food received. read more

This restaurant is located inside the Nashville Farmers market. I picked this restaurant because it had some clearly labeled gluten free options. I got the buffet options. You pick one rice or noodle and two options from the other side. I got the gluten bourbon chicken and gluten free rice noodles. I appreciate the gluten free options. The food was too salty for me but I would go back. The server was nice and friendly. I ate outside and it was clean and convenient. read more

Unfortunately, this was a total letdown. I was excited to try their ramen, but it had zero flavor. It was the most plain takeout food I'd ever had, and for almost $20. It also said on the menu all ramen comes with egg, bamboo shoots, and a sauce. But it came without any of it, and they told me that it doesn't come with those. The service wasn't the worst I've ever experienced but there certainly wasn't much friendliness. read more

I ordered the Thai tea and it met my expectations of a good Thai tea -- not too sweet and a strong flavor. However, despite having an extensive offering of milk and fruit teas, they did not have tapioca pearls which was disappointing. And I was surprised that the large size was $10 with tax. The drink came with an egg roll, which was a nice touch but didn't justify the price in my opinion. read more

Rude dark haired woman who rushes, senior citizen type customers.. yelling order, order! When they are trying to understand her accent and also decide what to order. Just a little patience and a few extra seconds would solve this problem, but apparently it's in short supply at that restaurant. The exception are the young workers who seem to be more understanding. read more

The staff is very sweet, which makes the experience great! I enjoyed the food, but it was pretty standard. It'a great to have asia food in the farmers market. I tried the lo mein, chicken and veggies, orange chicken, and an egg roll. The lo Mein was a little oily and not super flavorful, but still enjoyable. The orange chicken has large pieces of chicken and good flavor. The chicken and veggies had lots of types of veggies but overall not packing in flavor. I will still go back, but it's not something I feel like I'll crave! read more

Never really eat Asian food but this place was sooo good. And the lady was sooo nice. Located in the farmers market and you can mix a whole bunch of stuff together, definitely worth the money, but it's well priced. I recommend the bourbon chicken. I went here today and I was absolutely shocked by the rudeness of this environment. We went up to order and I asked if the Pad Thai was spicy and they said no not at all so I ordered it and it took 30 minutes to get there. They said they would bring it out to us and then got mad when we said that's what we expected. I tried it and it absolutely burned through my mouth. I have a medium tolerance for spice but it was insane. We then took it up there because it was inedible to me. They said there was zero spice and that they would make a new one. MULTIPLE people said there was no spice. So then again we wait another 30 minutes for them to remake it. We go up there to see if it's done and they tell us that we shouldn't have asked for no spice because it's "impossible to make with no spice". Never coming here again. They were insanely rude and I couldn't recommend it to anyone. read more

The staff seemed nice so MAYBE I should give them one more star, but I just can't. Let me preface by saying that I LOVE ramen....like that would be my death row meal. DO NOT GET THE RAMEN HERE! Seriously awful. Tasted like what I imagine dirty dishwater tastes like. It had zero veggies (which are shown on their menu pics), the egg looked 900 years old, and the pork had huge lines of gristle running through it. I took 2 bites and threw the bowl in the trash. I hope other things on their menu are better. This just made me sad. read more

Green Asia was within a half hour of closing when we arrived. The lady in charge (who was constantly yelling at her workers/cooks) encouraged us to buy food already in the trays, so I got the orange chicken, vegetable chicken, half rice, half noodles, and egg rolls. I should have ordered something fresh. I was very disappointed by the excessive saltiness and the dried out food so I could only manage a few bites. Maybe the cook was sabotaging the food to get back at her for her meanness. read more

Got a poke bowl with 2 proteins. While it tasted pretty good and was fresh I thought the amount of food was not nearly enough for almost $12 I paid - I used to live out in San Francisco with much higher cost of living and for that price I could get double amount of food. Okay, I have an hour lunch and work downtown, so I thought from now on at least once a week, maybe twice I will try a new restaurant...so I can experience something different...I love chik filet but hey..you can eat just so many chicken nuggets... So today, I jumped into my van and headed to the Farmer's Market to find my new place to enjoy my lunch. I opted for the Green Asia...there was a line which looked promising...if there is a line then Peeps must like it. I went for the #2, 2 entrees with fried rice. I went for the "chicken n' veggies" and "General Tso" Took my food and went back to my cubical at the office..not too far away maybe 12 minutes with traffic and elevator bank...so I thought...this shouldn't get too cold..OMG..I was so WRONG... I am going to say this was TYPICAL Chinese fare....nothing outstanding..sort of dry...and the rice was extremely dry...I would NOT eat here again..there was nothing to stand out for me during this meal..NOTHING and the price with taxes was less than $8. Well, on to the next adventure for lunch...just NOT the Green Asia!!!! read more

I had high hopes for Green Asia... Is this because I haven't had a bad dish at the Farmer's Market? Is it because Green Asia came with rave reviews? or Is it because the restaurant advertises "fresh tastes"? Answer: All of the above. However I found Green Asia offered your standard Chinese flair that tasted "ok" at best, but I felt I wasn't given enough food and my pepper steak entree was 95 percent pepper and 5 percent steak!!! I appreciated that the food wasn't too greasy and everyone behind the counter was extremely friendly... which pushed this rating from a two stars to three! read more

First off, don't walk up looking at the pictures thinking that's what you're getting served. We had the ramen and it was nothing more than terrible, noodles were not fully cooked and it had no flavor. Also the prices were ridiculous I don't know what I was thinking. Anyways I can't speak for the rest of their food but definitely wouldn't come back. read more

I work very close to the Farmers Market and often walk over for lunch. One side of the Green Asia stand is pretty standard Chinese food. Lots of chicken dishes. A few vegetable dishes. Egg rolls. Crab rangoon. Typical fare. Decent quality. The other side of the stand is a sushi burrito stand. Pick your fillings and watch them make your sushi burrito right in front of you. As far as Farmers Market restaurants go, Green Asia is cheaper and faster than some of the others. It's okay food - good for a quick lunch, but nothing I'd go out of my way for! read more

I had high hopes for Green Asia when I first heard about its opening. Healthy Asian food that wasn't going to be deep fried and then drenched in soy sauce? Count me in! Unfortunately, life did not seem to play out this way. For the most part, Green Asia serves the basic Chinese food that I have come to expect from any food court or take out venue. It was a disappointment, but once I wrapped my mind around it and accepted Green Asia for what it is, I find that I'm more of a fan. We eat here at least twice a month on our farmer's market visit, and they have always had my Asian staples on the menu, which I appreciate. They serve up the only General Tso's chicken that I actually enjoy eating. It isn't very spicy at all, which may not sit well with traditionalists, but my sensitive mouth enjoys it. I also like that they serve brown rice alongside fried and lo mein. As far as their vegetables go, their edamame is probably frozen, but so is the stuff I make at home. I also recommend the steamed broccoli with cabbage over the mixed vegetables that are underseasoned and coated with soy sauce. All in all, Green Asia's not bad. They give me way too much food, the price is good, and they always have the three things that I want on a plate. Bottom line - it works for me. read more

Okay lets get real. You're in a farmers market with all sorts of FRESH veggies and you want something to eat and if you eat at the Chinese Restaurant, you're going to be disappointed if you were thinking FRESH. There is not 1 item on this menu that is from the actual market but you know it's just like most strip mall Chinese Food Joints, frozen food. Look I've eaten it a few times and never gotten sick. The rice is a bit mushy and the chicken super deep fried. The staff is real nice, fast, and I think their area/ space where their place is clean. I like how they offer 1 free refill AND free siriracha AND a free fortune cookie. Its just a OK place. Not bad, but just bland. read more

I'm downgrading to 2/5 following a repeat visit. The food has not improved significantly. It is, at best, standard mall food court fare, served from steam trays. The flavors are commensurate with that statement; pure utility Chinese food. The General Tso's Chicken was the flavor nadir, with excessive soy sauce flavor, and a soggy, breading-packed mouthfeel. The zenith would be the chicken sticks, which are actually pretty good. Pricing is merely acceptable on second review, nearly $10 got just an adequate amount of food, and seemed a bit high considering the quality level. Order a three meat combo and ask for one meat to be chicken sticks for an idea on how cheap they are being; your "meat" is one stick. I'd rate them on the more expensive end of food court Chinese. Service remains highly dependent on crowd size, but the staff are friendly. I'm giving 2/5 because we don't have half stars. They deserve a 2.5, equating to mere adequacy, but I'm no longer willing to round up. I'll continue to eat there when I want Chinese but don't want to drive, since the premises look clean and the food is edible. read more

I was visiting family in Nashville for the day. They recommended the market for lunch so that everyone could get a variety of food for a good price. The rest of the family got pizza and burritos, but I decided to try Green Asia. I ordered the 2 meant plate with fried rice, General Tso's and pepper chicken. The staff was extremely polite, and very fast (my wife waited 30 minutes for pizza). The cashier was very friendly, and courteous. The food was some of the best I've had. The rice reminded me of my favorite Chinese restaurant back home. The General Tso's chicken was very sweet and tender, I highly recommend it. The pepper chicken was great, but I may just get double General Tso's chicken next time! In addition to the great service and food, it was also the cheapest compared to the other peoples orders (pizza and burritos). For less than $8 you can get a large portion and variety of food. I highly recommend Green Asia! If only I could figure out how they make their rice... ;) read more

Sushi burrito made my way. I had never heard of a sushi burrito before. We were headed to the farmers market and a coworker told me about it. I love sushi so it was game-on for me. Grabbed 4 pieces of nigiri, 2 salmon and 2 yellow fin tuna. Very tasty! Better than I expected quite frankly. Staff was friendly. I didn't try their hot food but I can recommend their sushi for a quick snack while shopping at the farmers market. read more

I think this place is worth your money. these days finding a lunch for $5.99 is a tough but. although they claim a certain element of "green" or "healthy", I'm unsure about its virtue. I am vegetarian so I get the tofu stir fry with white rice. there may be MSG , may be not but regardless I feel it is a healthier alternative to best wok. plus they have a very delicious tofu option. I do definitely crave this randomly. the only flaw is the availability of your desired dish is not always totally consistent. and I've never had brown rice there evn tho the sign says they offer it .. read more

It's OK. The food is decent, but pretty much the same run of the mill stuff you find at most places like this. I like my Chinese on the spicy side, and this isn't it. Their "hot pepper" chicken is anything but. There is no good Chinese food in downtown Nashville, so I guess this is about as good as it gets. It's too bad, because the old Chinese place that was here before the big remodel was really good. read more

The second round took even longer, and the overall service flow was chaotic and disorganized. Food and drinks arrived sporadically rather than together, and it was obvious that the staff lacked support and leadership. I want to be clear: our waitress, Ellie, was not the issue. She remained kind, professional, and did her best under impossible circumstances. Our concerns were never directed at her, and she deserves praise for maintaining her composure throughout the evening. The real problem was management. Despite the extensive delays and obvious service breakdowns, no manager proactively came to address the table. When we finally sought assistance ourselves, we were met with excuses rather than accountability. Even more disappointing was Angelo's dismissive and snarky response, telling us to "proceed" when we expressed our concerns. Rather than supporting his staff or attempting to resolve the situation, management's handling of the evening only made matters worse. To add insult to injury, we were presented with a bill claiming the birthday girl's meal had been comped when it had not. A complimentary bottle of champagne delivered at the end of the evening did little to remedy an experience that had already fallen apart. As fellow hospitality professionals, we understand that mistakes happen and generally extend a great deal of grace. What we cannot excuse is the lack of accountability, poor leadership, and the apparent willingness to let a server absorb the consequences of management's failures. Ellie deserved support (which is what the table took care of.) Instead, she was left to fend for herself while management failed both their guests and their staff. Sadly, after two disappointing experiences, I cannot recommend this establishment.

I personally think that for some of the mid-service courses, the portion size could be reduced. It was tough to make it through to the steak course due to the size of some of the portions. The steak course is generous and served with a broccolini that evening. Also, a dessert course could definitely have replaced one of the middle courses. That being said, the Chef's tasting menu was well worth it and a fun culinary adventure. I highly recommend dining at Fancypants if you have a chance.

While the cocktails were refreshing and they had a cocktail for every palate, my steak and eggs was bland. It came out a little closer to rare than medium, but I can live with that. But I am not sure I detected a speck of salt or pepper. The steak was at least tender and the sunny side up eggs were cooked appropriately. The potatoes were dry. And I did have the wagyu meatball appetizer. It's a large portion, so easily shared amongst two or three people. Cheesy and saucy with a little spice. The focaccia could've been toasted a little more. I considered the short rib hash, but my server told me it could be salty and hit or miss (I appreciate her honesty and she 100 percent should be praised for it). I came during brunch (even on a weekday). They also serve French toast, desserts, oysters, burrata, potstickers and tuna tartare, salads, burgers and other sandwiches. If you come for lunch or dinner, you can also get grilled salmon, blackened redfish, shrimp and grits, pastas (cajun chicken, pappardelle bolognese, tortellini) as well as various cuts of steak. It's conveniently located right across from the Frist Museum and is part of the Union Station Hotel. I would try this place again for dinner, but would skip the brunch. And again, Savanna was top tier! She deserves all the flowers!
