This is a quick place to get quick snacks for the kids. The kids saw someone with the tanghulu so they must have one each as well. It was $8.20 for one tanghulu each. Unfortunately, this was a total letdown. I was excited to try their ramen, but it had zero flavor. It was the most plain takeout food I'd ever had, and for almost $20. It also said on the menu all ramen comes with egg, bamboo shoots, and a sauce. But it came without any of it, and they told me that it doesn't come with those. I went here today and I was absolutely shocked by the rudeness of this environment. We went up to order and I asked if the Pad Thai was spicy and they said no not at all so I ordered it and it took 30 minutes to get there. They said they would bring it out to us and then got mad when we said that's what we expected. I tried it and it absolutely burned through my mouth. I have a medium tolerance for spice but it was insane. We then took it up there because it was inedible to me. They said there was zero spice and that they would make a new one. MULTIPLE people said there was no spice. So then again we wait another 30 minutes for them to remake it. We go up there to see if it's done and they tell us that we shouldn't have asked for no spice because it's "impossible to make with no spice". Never coming here again. I am going to say this was TYPICAL Chinese fare....nothing outstanding..sort of dry...and the rice was extremely dry...I would NOT eat here again..there was nothing to stand out for me during this meal..NOTHING and the price with taxes was less than $8. Crab rangoon. Typical fare. Decent quality. The other side of the stand is a sushi burrito stand. Pick your fillings and watch them make your sushi burrito right in front of you. I had high hopes for Green Asia when I first heard about its opening. Healthy Asian food that wasn't going to be deep fried and then drenched in soy sauce? Count me in! Unfortunately, life did not seem to play out this way. For the most part, Green Asia serves the basic Chinese food that I have come to expect from any food court or take out venue. It was a disappointment, but once I wrapped my mind around it and accepted Green Asia for what it is, I find that I'm more of a fan. We eat here at least twice a month on our farmer's market visit, and they have always had my Asian staples on the menu, which I appreciate. They serve up the only General Tso's chicken that I actually enjoy eating. It isn't very spicy at all, which may not sit well with traditionalists, but my sensitive mouth enjoys it. I also like that they serve brown rice alongside fried and lo mein. As far as their vegetables go, their edamame is probably frozen, but so is the stuff I make at home. I also recommend the steamed broccoli with cabbage over the mixed vegetables that are underseasoned and coated with soy sauce. All in all, Green Asia's not bad. The flavors are commensurate with that statement; pure utility Chinese food. The General Tso's Chicken was the flavor nadir, with excessive soy sauce flavor, and a soggy, breading-packed mouthfeel. The zenith would be the chicken sticks, which are actually pretty good. Pricing is merely acceptable on second review, nearly $10 got just an adequate amount of food, and seemed a bit high considering the quality level. Order a three meat combo and ask for one meat to be chicken sticks for an idea on how cheap they are being; your "meat" is one stick. I'd rate them on the more expensive end of food court Chinese. Service remains highly dependent on crowd size, but the staff are friendly. I'm giving 2/5 because we don't have half stars. They deserve a 2.5, equating to mere adequacy, but I'm no longer willing to round up. I'll continue to eat there when I want Chinese but don't want to drive, since the premises look clean and the food is edible. read more

I was visiting family in Nashville for the day. They recommended the market for lunch so that everyone could get a variety of food for a good price. The rest of the family got pizza and burritos, but I decided to try Green Asia. I ordered the 2 meant plate with fried rice, General Tso's and pepper chicken. The staff was extremely polite, and very fast (my wife waited 30 minutes for pizza). The cashier was very friendly, and courteous. The food was some of the best I've had. The rice reminded me of my favorite Chinese restaurant back home. The General Tso's chicken was very sweet and tender, I highly recommend it. The pepper chicken was great, but I may just get double General Tso's chicken next time! In addition to the great service and food, it was also the cheapest compared to the other peoples orders (pizza and burritos). For less than $8 you can get a large portion and variety of food. I think this place is worth your money. these days finding a lunch for $5.99 is a tough but. although they claim a certain element of "green" or "healthy", I'm unsure about its virtue. I am vegetarian so I get the tofu stir fry with white rice. there may be MSG , may be not but regardless I feel it is a healthier alternative to best wok. plus they have a very delicious tofu option. It's OK. The food is decent, but pretty much the same run of the mill stuff you find at most places like this. I like my Chinese on the spicy side, and this isn't it. Their "hot pepper" chicken is anything but. There is no good Chinese food in downtown Nashville, so I guess this is about as good as it gets.
