My first impression was "Woah, this place is like a club/lounge!" but was a bit apprehensive (I'm from SoCal so my standards for boba shops are high). The owner greeted us and gave some suggestions. I was torn bc it was such an extensive menu but went with the S18 - Mara Cuya, half sweet. To my surprise, the drink came out perfect! She's not exactly the friendliest or the most welcoming. If I had to take a moment to look at the menu or even consider doing anything to alter my drinks. She makes a dirty face while looking down at the screen so you couldn't see. Furrowing your brows because you have 35+ drinks on the menu...This is the type of demeanor that is condescending, there was no one behind me or even in the store so I can't imagine what the rush is. For a place that's supposed to be relaxing to do work, there was a baby wailing the entire time. While I was waiting for my drink, you can hear how she talks to her employees because it was only a thin curtain separating the cashier table from the kitchen. This makes me super uncomfortable knowing that if you can be rude to paying customers, you can also treat your employees however you please. The times I would go to soya I had such a horrible experience with one of the cashiers which honestly makes me wish I could put 0 stars. She's an older woman and I've heard she's one of the owners. Considering this you'd think she'd be extra friendly and help you out with your drink considering the overwhelming amount of drinks there are on the menu. Instead she is unwelcoming, she's always frowning and has such a boring personality. She clearly judges the drinks I get because I like to customize what I get, I order the s27 with no strawberry drizzle and she makes a bad face whenever I ask for it. I feel extremely rushed to order every time she takes my order and is rude. She does not give a welcoming vibe and instead makes me want to leave. Whenever I go I have to ask one of the younger cashiers who's working to avoid the rude interaction with her. It was so hot so and my family wanted something to drink on the way back from a trip. We came across Soya Tea Lounge and I loved the drinks here! They have such a wide variety of drinks and I was able to try the Sawadee, Dirty Drink, Choconana, Sour and Spice Life, and Yellow Tone (they were all really good!). I got the Sawadee and I loved it. The whip cream and thin layer of pink salt was so good. The Sour and Spice Life was my favorite. It had the perfect blend of mango slush and chamoy and tajin because compared to other places, there is either too much chamoy and tajin or too little, but this one was so good. AND THE POPPING BOBA HAD TAJIN IN IT. I found that so interesting and it paired so well with the drink! The Dirty Drink was a SOLID brown sugar with milk drink if you are a brown sugar milk lover. It's one of their most popular drinks. Yellow Tone was so refreshing and the fruits were so good with the jasmine tea. Perfect for a hot day! Oh, we also got the Egg Waffle and I think it was one of the best egg waffles I've had at a boba shop. It was so good paired with the salted cream cheese. I've never liked salted cream cheese when I tried it at other places because it was too salty or overpowering, but this place does it super good. I highly recommend getting one and eating it while it's still hot! The owners were really sweet and came out just to ask if we liked the drinks. Amazing customer service! New boba spot in town, they located in Tractor Supply area. Due to work schedule im not able to stop by before. Get off at 11pm and they close at 11pm. Today was lucky that i got my job done earlier but still not make it there by 11pm, couple minutes late. They closed but still welcome and ask what i want to get. They even brew new batch of tea just for 3 drinks we order. This kind of customer service is rarely happen nowadays. They use real tea leaf which make the tea is tasteful, sweet and ice level are on point, not overwhelmed. Love that finally we have a real tea shop in town. The cashier's name was also Kelly and she's super energetic and super helpful when it comes down to the menu. The owner's are also super nice and they want to make sure the drinks taste right before customer's leave. They offered to remake my Bravocado (S30) when I said I didn't want coconut milk. I love this type of service!!! I feel like Los Banos doesn't offer service or have people who love what they do. I recommend coming here when you're free! There aren't different size cups so the price is kind of pricey. My drink almost came out to $9 after the tip and extra boba. They don't put a lot of ice though, so you are paying for a decent amount of drink. I will definitely be coming back!
