Over priced. $25 + tip for eyebrows is ridiculous. Granted it's a choice I made but because it was a Monday and Wink was closed. If they are charging that much, I expect impeccable delivery which wasn't the case. The chairs were not even the ones were you put your head back and they threaded you sitting straight up on a high chair. Eyebrows can make or break your look, so if you have a bad wax or threading experience, you're done. It takes a long time to right that wrong. After researching a lot and reading up on the reviews for Moore Couture, I took the plunge. I bounced around to a few of the gals here, but ultimately I settled in nicely with Andrea. She always greets me with a friendly smile and does right by my eyebrows. She's methodical, careful, and never misses. My eyebrows look better than they EVER have, and it's because she takes the time to map them out and make sure they work with my features. So with a few months of waxing down, I approached her about microblading. The beauty here is that she never pressed me to do it. Having recently moved to Austin, I found myself in need of a new eyebrow place. I came here because they offered threading and the reviews were good, however when I arrived I was told the person who does the threading was not in. The lady told me she could tweeze them and since I was in bind I decided to go for it. She did a really good job and even applied make up. I walked out of there with amazing looking eyebrows. I have been getting my eyebrows threaded for years. Its quick, its easy and seems to last longer than waxing. I moved to Austin from NYC, where the threading salons are in abundance and it can cost as low as $6 or $7 per visit. In Austin, its $15-$20 and you never know what your eyebrows are going to look like when you're done. I just wasn't finding a place that was reliable OR that wouldn't take too much hair from my brows, making them super thin. So, in desperation I started looking up waxing services. I already knew it was going to be a shot in the dark for me, but I headed over to trusty Yelp to read some reviews. Moore Couture had raving reviews and its not too far from home, so I decided to give it a try. First of all, I easily made an appointment online for the next day. I showed up to the boutique and I went right into the chair. Andrea listened to my threading sob stories for a minute but then soon got to work. She actually uses a stick to measure from the brow to different points along the eye and lightly pencils in where she wants to remove hair. She was able to shape my brows so nicely AND still leave them full just the way I like. After all of that, she's totally nice and sweet, which is a bonus to the whole experience. I returned 3 weeks later for another appointment-- 3 WEEKS! Unheard of with me and waxing lol As long as I'm in Austin and needing my eyebrows done, I will return to Moore Couture...for sure :) read more

Andrea is hands down an eyebrow expert. She's been waxing my brows for about four years now and she's the only person I trust to go near my eyebrows (never ever making the mistake of getting them done at a nail salon again). Every time I come into the boutique I feel welcomed and I always enjoy chatting with Andrea while she does my brows, she's super outgoing and down to earth - which just makes the whole experience that much better! Since the opening of Moore Couture, I've brought many of my friends with me to experience Andrea's magic and they have all been extremely impressed and happy with their brows. The boutique itself is super quaint and fun, it definitely has tons of girly vibes but also maintains that funky Austin feel with many bohemian pieces. I always enjoy wandering around the store before or after my brow wax, admiring all the cute clothes and accessories. Not to mention, the store often has specials and participates in fun events such as "Sip n Shop" and First Thursday where they have snacks and wine to enjoy (Woohoo for wine!) while also offering discounted beauty services. Since opening, the boutique has also started offering many other services other than waxing, which I of course have had to try out! I've gotten a few spray tans from Jacqueline now, who does by appointment only airbrush tanning. Jacqueline gave me my first spray tan ever and since then I have been obsessed, I wish I could afford to get them every week (boo for being a poor college student). Cute spa, fantastic and effective services, friendly and fun technicians. I bought a Groupon for 6 laser hair removal appointments. It was my first laser hair removal experience and I was treating a ~sensitive~ area, so I was nervous! I watched a ton of Youtube videos and was anxious about a handful of things. But Spa7 definitely put my mind at ease, haha. I had 3 different technicians over the course of 7 months and they were all sweet, attentive, professional, and somehow remembered me every time. All the technicians and receptionists have also been cost-conscious which I super appreciate. You hear about laser hair removal places that aren't effective or push you to buy more packages, I didn't experience any of that. 10/10 recommend read more

I had been to Moore a few times with Andrea, she was great! A few months ago I had an appointment set up and she doubled booked me, so she asked if I minded if someone else did them, not sure if I could have said no, since the girl who she wanted to do them was standing right there. Although the girl was very nice... the first time she got the tint all over, not in the shape of my eyebrows and said it would come off naturally with a little time, which is great, but I had plans that night-- I get my brows tinted all the time and the skin is naturally stained for a day, which is not a big deal as long as you keep in line with the shape of the brow. I went to her again thinking it was a fluke, same thing, and she also "shaped" one eye brow too thin, also, durning my appointment someone came in for an appointment with Andrea and she wasn't there, so her sister did them. Just seemed like poor customer service. So, off I go to find somewhere else, which is sad because Andrea did a great job and the location is so convenient. read more

The first time I came to spa7 and had a consultation with Andrea, I really liked her and knew she was extremely talented. She gave me her rate and it was pricy a little, I asked the receptionist about the price and she said,"no we are not pricing that high now we have an offer." I kept asking her for 5 times just to make sure I was not foolish, or missing what she said, she was 100%positive. I got excited and payed more than just the fee for the visit. The day of my appointment the pricing changed, it went $150 up. I asked the receptionist(a different lady this time). All she did was apologizing. Apologizing won't make the extra $150 sound better. She called Andrea to come over for rescue. She offered no other alternatives or apologized, just simply said "the product I use are expensive." Miss communication between her and her team, or her team messing up ended up out of my pocket. I'm disappointed in how they treat their customers especially because I had such high hopes in the beginning. I will not be going back. read more

Truly mediocre experience here. I would not go back. The beautician wasn't careful. I called to say I was going to be 10 min late for an 11am appt. When I got there at 11:10, no one was at the desk. I thought it was fair to wait, since I was late. I waited till 11:25 then a young woman came rushing in with a fast food bag. I guess when she got the message that I would be late, she decided to go hit the Chic-fil-A in the meantime. As for the work, my eyebrows were done...okay. Not very carefully for such a fancy place. The tweezers were dull and pulled too much, and not with the grain. It was done too fast and without precision. She said, "Yes ma'am!" after answering each question I asked ~ I kind of hate being "Ma'am'd" -- it's a strange word that signifies age or difference. Anyway, I'm sure it's a great place for getting Brazilian and leg waxes and the like. I won't go back there for eyebrows for any reason. UPDATE: After going home and looking in my lighted mirror, I see tons of hairs that should have been tweezed -- straying far outside of the brow line and a few between my eyebrows. I cannot say enough good things about this place. I had my eyebrows microbladed by Andrea and not only is she so sweet and funny but she did an amazing job. She's an artist in her free time, which is probably why she's so good at giving eyebrows a shape that compliments your features and looks natural. I was so nervous going into my appointment because I didn't know how to describe what shape of eyebrow I wanted but Andrea took one look at my eyebrows and it seemed like she so immediately knew what needed to be done. I have very sensitive skin and would literally look like meme from the drew carry show after I got my brows waxed in the past. When I wen't to Moore Couture and told Andrea Moore about this she was shocked and after she waxed my brows I wasn't red or irritated. She's literally a brow guru and I will never let anyone touch my brows again! I've also had my makeup done by Andrea (airbrush and regular makeup) and she is amazing! I will never go back here! I had microblading done on my brows and Christina did a horrible, terrible job. I ended up leaving in tears I was so upset with the finished product! The owner Andrea was really sweet and nice about it; she gave me a good tip to wash my brows with glycolic acid face wash to rid the color so it would fade away and go back to normal. Fortunately that worked (after about a week of ugly brows), but it was such a bad job that I can't trust going back there again. After I was upset and hated how it looked, the girl told me it was her first time doing brows laying down! What?! If that was supposed to make me feel better it definitely didn't. read more
