The spa is quaint and peaceful. From initial appointment setting to checking out - excellent customer service from April :) The spa is a boutique spa, small but has several amenities: showers, steam, lounge and a nice wrap around patio that faces the Mission. My friend and I had the special that included a facial and massage. The massage and facial were terrific. After our treatments we were offered champagne and trail mix snack. We had planned to go to the pool, but since we'd never been to SJC, we opted to walk around the cute downtown. Note, the pool is not part of the spa amenities but you can ask to use and they may be able to accommodate. All in all, great day at the spa with my BFF! read more

I took my mom here for a spa day for her birthday this past weekend. With so many highly rated spas to choose from in south OC, I'm so glad we gave Spa At The Mission a try! Not only is the location beautiful and historic, but the new hotel (in which this spa is located) is also gorgeous and fits in perfectly with the SJC ambiance and architecture. Inside the spa, they first offered us some delicious watermelon water! So refreshing on a 90F summer day!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The owner and staff were very friendly and relaxed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They escorted us to the changing room, which was immaculately clean and included a shower, restroom, sink & a steam room (also very clean. Not a speck of mold in sight! ) My mom got the 50 minute oxygen facial in one room while I got a 50 minute prenatal massage in another. Afterwards, my mom couldn't stop raving about how bright and refreshed her skin felt. Since she lives nearby, she's hoping they make some sort of club or membership so she can join and go a lot more often for facials. I noticed some of her sun spots were noticeably lighter after her facial too. My prenatal massage was amazing!! Even though I'm on my 4th pregnancy, this is the first prenatal massage I've ever received. I might be addicted! Mikki has magic hands, and clearly her 30 years of experience has made her an expert on the pregnant female body. I thought my legs were getting too chubby this pregnancy (more than my previous pregnancies). Nope, turns out I'm just lacking prenatal massages lol. My legs were so slim the whole rest of the day, and they didn't ache at all like when I first arrived. I felt revitalized walking out of that massage! It was amazing! I didn't even feel like I was pregnant haha. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Mikki has such a sweet, calming demeanor. It was very easy for me to relax and recharge.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'd highly recommend her services. Our experience were amazing. All the staff were very friendly and professional. My massage therapist it was so good and very professional. I wish i could remember her name. But i think is Lynette. I had 80 mins calm serenity massage. From beginning to end it was very relaxing. After we were able to use the hotel pool. We ordered lunch and we went back to the Spa to shower and get ready to experience town. The Spa have a variety of choices to make easy to get ready there. We enjoyed our massages and experience at this boutique spa. This is such a cute place. Great location for a couples massage or stop before a girls night out in downtown San Juan Capistrano. They have a nice hotel pool and restaurant at the hotel that can be used by spa guests. Had it been warmer weather, we would have made a day out of it. Donna was friendly and so sweet to accommodate a last minute visit and did everything to make our time wonderful. We all enjoyed the 80 minute serenity massage. I enjoyed a rose champagne, fruit and nuts, and chocolates. My daughter was accidentally shorted 10 minutes off an 80 minute massage. They should have credited us or took her back in to finish and ended up giving a bath balm. I was surprised to learn upon checkout about the automatic 22% service fee (17% goes to masseuse). Had a couples massage with Lynnette. We were the only ones booked for the spa that morning, so they let my husband and I have the bathroom to ourselves, which included the steam room. Normally they separate the women from the men, so this was awesome to do together. The facilities are rather small -- just treatment rooms, lounge space and bathrooms with steam room. Very clean and pretty. Our serenity massages were 8/10. Lynette has an amazing technique she does on your arms and that was just heaven for me. Very relaxing environment. After the massage, they offer champagne and we spent some time on the balcony overlooking the mission, which was beautiful. They have heat lamps out there as well, which was nice. 22% gratuity is included in all treatments, 17 of which goes to your massage therapist, the rest to the spa. Keep that in mind when paying. read more

An incredible boutique spa experience and one not to miss. The Spa Manager, Donna, is a wonderful human being who truly cares about providing her guests with the best relaxing experience. I felt like I was the only guest by how attentive, thoughtful, and hospitable she is. Their facilities are great, more boutique style meaning it isn't some mega spa. There are plenty of rooms to handle their guests whether it be solo massage, couples massages, facials, steam rooms, relaxation room, and locker rooms for both m and f. I chose to arrive early to enjoy the hotel pool and hot tub to begin unwinding and setting the mood for ultimate relaxation. Upon arrival in the spa, I was offered sparkling rose, and their relaxation water, which is just delicious. The staff are calm and talented, which makes for true relaxation. The products are top of the line. I only have positive things to say, and can't recommend it enough. I certainly will be going back! I had the best time and I frequent spas often. My spa experience at the mission was outstanding! As soon as you entered the facility, you are immediately met with tranquility. Everything from the robe and comfy slippers, luxury bathroom amenities, and helpful employees, I felt like I was in a dream! That was all prior to my actual massage! Once in the massage room, you could tell that every little detail was attended to: from the heated beds, warm towels, and amazing masseuse! Let's just say I was so relaxed I fell asleep!
