Based on the good reviews, I wanted to purchase a gift certificate for a client that lives in the area. However, when I called the spa to ask how to do so, they informed me that I would have to come in person to purchase the gift card. Since I live in Los Angeles, that isn't an option. Last week I I went to the Spa at Thunder Valley for a facial. I live close by, Roseville, but it was my first time using the facility. As soon as I entered through the main doors I was greeted and my needs were addressed. There was no wait, I had an appointment with Melanie but before being taken into my facial room this nice young lady named Karla asked me if I would like a tour of the spa. I said yes and she showed me where the steam room and dry sauna was and the rain shower and made sure I was totally comfortable with the whereabouts of anything I needed including the snacks and drinks in the lounge area. She waited until I was sure there were no other questions for her to answer and then left. I felt as if I had my own personal attendant, which I did! I went to the lounge and waited for Melanie to come greet me for my facial. Melanie made my face feel so soft and fresh. She is a perfectionist and took special care of my skin making sure she used the right product for my skin type. For the rest of the day my skin glowed. When I returned to the lounge I sat on the sofa, which is very comfortable by the way, and felt as if I could hang out for a while, a long while...lets just say I wasn't in a hurry to leave this place. You feel really relaxed after being pampered and the atmosphere is calming there at the spa, the music is nice, the place is clean, fresh and of course, there's those wonderful personal attendants that keep coming in checking to see if you need anything. Who could ask for a better way to spend the afternoon? I'll be back. read more

Went to celebrate my daughter's birthday, while the massages were all booked we opted for the "Express" pedi and mani and "express" they were. I would not opt to get mani or pedi here, two days later and my nail polish is already coming off...I could of paid $25 dollars at any nail salon and the outcome would be better. My daughter's nails looks very unprofessionally done. While we were scheduled for Mani, Pedi's and facials, we had to ask the girls at the front desk to take us to the back and use the facilities. The amount I spent for the day, it shouldn't of even been a question. We were scheduled at separate times so didn't even really spend much of the day together either. Then at check out they missed one of our charges and had to have me call back and do it over the phone. I only am giving it a 3 star because the facials were wonderful...only part of the day we enjoyed. I will look for other choices before heading back here. read more

Decided not to bother coming here for our anniversary. I tried to book a couple's massage, but was told the only way we could have a massage together was to purchase the only couples package they have at $300 plus a mandatory 20% tip! I didn't want candles and rose pedals for the extra $60 and they refused to book at the regular massage prices. They also no longer offer the locals discount. I was really hoping to like this place, but that is ridiculous. I found plenty of other local options for a lot less. read more

After emailing a complaint on Thunder Valley's website, the Spa Manager called me and was able to fit in my group of 4 the date I needed. I appreciate her effort! She saved me a lot of replanning! She also reached out to me again and rearranged our appts so that I wouldn't be alone while the rest of my group was getting their facials. I thought that was above and beyond! read more

Shannon is the absolute best!!! If you come here you have to see her she made my dull skin come back to life she made me so relaxed and advised me of take home care for my skin to keep it looking glowing like she made it look she was very professional and took time to listen to all my skin concerns I will definitely be back for her. Her treatment room was clean and tidy as a person who gets a facial treatment twice a month I have never had as amazing experience as I did with Shannon I definitely give her 10 out of 10 best esthetician in town!!! read more

Amazing! My bestie from Los Angeles came to visit me, so we planned a girls fun day out. I booked us both for a massage and a facial. Luckily since I am local I got a 20% discount which made me very happy! The massage was wonderful and the facial was amazing. I want to go each month now just for a little R&R. It was a bit busy on a Saturday but that's to be expected. So happy! Oh and the aesthetician used high quality organic products. Try it!!! Two massages in one week because it is so awesome! My mother and I came here in December and just came back in had the June advantage special on Monday and today. I absolutely felt so relax and at peace after my massage with Joyce on both days exclamation she takes the time to really understand where you need her to focus on and always make sure that your comfortable. My mother had MJ today and really enjoyed it and said it was one of the best massages she has received. We will definitely be returning and the girls at the front desk or also very pleasant to make appointments with. read more

I used to love this spa but like the other reviews, I will not be returning for a few reason but the main one is that they raised their prices and took away the local discount. I was given a gift card that covered a couples massage with tip and taxes but we ended up having to pay an extra $71 because of their new policies. I was told that I could use the locker and locker room before our massage to go to the pool for an hour. I was taken back to the locker room by Sara and then I had to argue with her (in front of another customer) that I could use the locker before she finally agreed but "would discuss this with the front desk girls because it is not our policy". She walked away and didn't offer me a bottle of water or towel like my husband got from his locker room attendant. I paid WAY TOO much money to be treated like that. If you don't have enough lockers...PUT MORE IN! Don't hassle your paying customers about using them! On the positive side, the pool was very nice and the massage by Jennifer was wonderful. Unfortunately, I will be finding another spa that doesn't charge sooo much and I wouldn't have to deal with a smokey casino to get to it. read more

great spa. one of the best looking places i seen. i get massages once a month at different places and this place is pretty good. hot towels on your back and feet i had joyce she was great. the best firm pressure i had. they also have snacks and tea for you in the "meditation" room. which wasnt even quiet with so many people around.and you need to bring your own sandles. no one told me about this so i walked around pare foot.. otherwise this place would of gotten five stars. i see myself going back.!! read more
