Not a typical fast paced mall nail salon with many employees, esp if you want acrylics. So keep that in mind if you're like in a rush. I believe only one tech does acrylics/ designs. I believe her name is lily(?) she's very detail orientated! Really nice shape & has nice preset design samples. I usually show a pic on my phone of what idea I want then go from there. Worst nail salon ever. I came in to do a gel manicure and pedicure. I paid $80 dollars and tipped them $20. 2/3 days after i left my manicure peeled off completely. After that i Check my pedicure and there's clear coat all over my cuticles ( very painful when it grows out or taking it off) and my pinky toe has only one dot of nail polish. I called them and asked for a refund on the manicure( even asked if I could send her pictures) and she told me to come back and get it redone. Clearly I didn't because I didn't want to get another bad job again and with a baby at home getting my nails done is a treat. Super disappointed that I wasted money and time coming to this salon. read more

Good luck with the male manicurist! He is horrible! Got a gel manicure and he was rough on my nails that one was bleeding . He just wipes it with his finger and doesn't wash his hands . I should of left but ! Also make sure you look at the price first because he says $40 and because I added a Cat eye type of color it was an additional $5. So instead of charging me $45 for the total he made 2 transactions . $41.00 $5.00 He is pretty sneaky! Won't be coming back . Not a good experience for me ! read more

Found this salon and was excited to find somewhere that had Gel X as an option so close to home .. i got an appointment within the hour for a Gel X mani & gel pedi. The pedicure in the end had a messy application although he did get my cuticles well. For the Mani she cut my natural nails all the way down to the skin and started applying the tips with no cuticle prep. When I had asked if cuticle prep was going to be done she said no which i thought was odd. The application itself was insanely thick and had massive amounts of bubbles and missed spots. There was soft gel in my nail beds as well as under my nails and stuck to my skin. I left with crooked nails on my right hand. I asked for a colorful French tip and none of the painted on tips were the same size. I wish I had a picture to attach but I had went to a salon right after to remove and replace. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. There are plenty of great salons to get your nails done, this is not one of them. TERRIBLE customer service. Hostile, Rude, and argumentative after a male manicurist cut part of my nail (ingrown nail issue we discussed prior to the cutting). What happened: I asked not to cut the sides of my big toes, that "the Dr said not to cut." The man said, "ingrown nail" I said yes, he cut straight across and asked "ok?" I said yes perfect He started cleaning and trimming the cuticles etc, I relaxed and checked my email and suddenly out of nowhere he cut the side of my big toe nail! A large section, 1/2 the length of my nail was cut down. I sat forward shocked, he didn't know what to do, the nail was hanging there, already cut, so I said it's too late, go ahead and cut it now, and he removed it. Obviously this was very upsetting, I said to the English speaking woman Lan, doing my friends nails, he really needs to understand English for things like this- she translated to him what the problem was, he said sorry and I said it's ok. I told Lan, I was very upset, but it couldn't be undone, so we continued. He asked to cut the nail on the other foot! I said no. He finished up, but didn't file the top of nails, so they are a little ragged. I've been getting regular pedicures growing these nails out for over a year to help correct the ingrown nails, and they were finally looking good and not painful anymore. My Dr says cutting the sides of the nails by improper trimming or Injury by overly aggressive pedicures, exacerbates the problem, so I've been very careful to explain this if I'm not at my regular salon. Afterwards, as my son gave his card to pay for us all (Mother's Day gift), I said to Lan, there should be a discount for my pedicure, at least 1/2 off. She looked right at me, ignored me and ran the card. We were three guests, total bill of $290 for our mani/pedi's. I did not tip. We left, but I didn't feel good about the situation, so I went back in to talk to the owner. She was with a client, so I asked if I could talk to privately her for a min, she had me come over to her, I sat down next to her and told her I feel we shouldn't have paid full price for my pedicure after what happened. She had an attitude and didn't respond, so I said it again and she asked "what do you want me to do" I said, "refund my pedicure" to that she started to raise her voice and argue with me that I "have 10 toes and this was only one toe" and she's not going to refund me, I said initially I only asked for 1/2, to which she said I'll give you $10! Only! I asked, Do you really think that's fair or good customer service? 1/2 of the pedicure is $15, she continues ranting that she'll only give me $10. We went to the register to issue the refund on my son's card and she's yelling about me coming in and "talking to her like this" I said, you're the one raising your voice and being rude, this wasnt some little thing, but she kept saying "it's just one toe, one little cut, it's nothing." This was the worst customer service ever. In this situation, she should've offered a discount, and once I asked, she shouldn't have squabbled over $5 on a $290 bill, to give me the 1/2 off ($15) requested. The salon itself aesthetically, isn't appealing at all. Again, there is an abundance of good nail salons to go to, avoid this one. read more

I used to go to this salon all of the time before and was never disappointed but after this experience I think I will stick with licensed freelance nail technicians. I originally showed the reference photo and I wanted those exact colors or at least something similar to it. Unfortunately, the nail tech whom I've never been serviced by before did not help me with trying to match the colors. Since they didn't have enough brown/nude shades that I'm red evenly when placed next to each other I added the glitter shade instead to substitute and to add a pop. When I brought up the shape I wanted I was ignored and given square. When shaping the mail some of the tips are rounded and others aren't which I didn't notice until I had left. I told my nail tech that I wanted my acrylics to be extra and to add designs and considering I was the only person there and I had gotten there around 4:00 I knew we had plenty of time but I was again ignored. When I mentioned it towards the end of my service I was ignored the first time and the second time I was told that there wasn't enough time even though it was barely 4:45 pm. From my knowledge the salon closed at 7 and all the other guests were getting pedicures not manicures or anything involving their hands. So after a disappointing and silent service that was not warm friendly or inviting I was charged $55 dollars which I don't mind at all as that is a reasonable price but after being ignored for the entire time and not getting proper customer service I paid what I owed and left which I NEVER DO. I feel like tipping is something that should be done with all services no matter the industry but with this experience my nail tech did not deserve it because I didn't get what I wanted and when bringing up what I wanted I was shot down, told no or completely ignored. It saddens me to write this because I've been coming to this shop for years and Lan and her mother in law have always treated me wonderfully. I've been coming here ever since I was 13 so about seven years. This is a place that I'll miss but after this experience I just think that it was meant for me to move on. read more

UPDATE: I've been back to see Lily 2 times, the last time being this morning. Lily recommended that I choose a different color for my hands as maybe that is what is causing the issue. I chose a very pretty ruby-violet color from their Metallux line and am very happy with the end result. Perhaps my situation was a one-off, it has been 3 hours so far and no signs of peeling, so I am hopeful (fingers crossed) that the color was a dud and the issue has been solved. I believe the problem color has been pulled from their shelf and is being replaced. Lily has been very helpful, patient, and understanding in getting my nails fixed and getting me to a point where I am happy with my results. She's been very responsive to my inquires and has gone the extra mile to accommodate my schedule and squeeze me in for the re-dos. For that alone, I recommend coming here; Lily will make sure that you are happy with your end result and that is huge. read more

About a week ago (December 23, 2019), I went to go and get a gel manicure with my sister (she got acrylics by lily and don't get me wrong her nails looked good). The over all process wasn't that's bad and I was happy with my nails. Then about 3 days later after my manicure it started to peel, at first it was little pieces then it turned out to be the whole gel polish that came off. I paid $31 plus tip to have my gel manicure to completely come off in a week when a manicure like this usually last longer. When the polish started to come off I went to look at the reviews to find out they are only about lily and her work with acrylic nails nothing else. As the days were passing by I thought about coming back to this salon to have them fix the little problems but now it is not worth it to practically get a whole new manicure. Also, while I was getting my manicure an ant crawled on my arm and more crawled all over the desk. I don't recommend this nail salon if you are looking for a basic gel manicure. read more

First off it is against the law in the State of California to charge a fee to use your credit/debit card as payment and yet they charge all their customers a fee. Second this was my first and last time using their services. A young man did my nails and he is obviously just learning or has never done nails. Wondering if he's even licensed to do nails that's how bad they came out. The acrylic was thick and thin in some areas. The polish was as if a two year old has polished my nails. Acrylic around my nail bed and polish over it. Although the owner Lily offered to redo my nails I told her no! This is not right what they're doing in this shop!! IT'S AGAINST THE LAW!! read more

I've been coming here for a few months now and have had Lily and Kathy do my nails. Usually it is Lily but everybody at the salon is incredible. Lily does amazing nail art and designs. Everything is clean, polished and very comfortable. They're also VERY quick. I can be in and out for acrylics with design in about an hour! Cannot recommend them enough. Went for just a gel full set, which they knew ahead of time. Then the heart she suggested, apparently could only be put on powder. I ended up choosing a blue powder color. But when she went to grab it, it was all out. So I told her nicely that I'll just do a blue gel color (what I originally wanted anyway). As soon as I said that her mood changed and she started being rough with my nails. She made me bleed in 5 different places. There's also glue all over my skin. Not worth $50 at all! read more

Spa Day is the best nail shops I have been to. Every time I come in to the shop I'm always taken care of. Me and my mother come in to the shop happy and leave so much better. They make sure that they follow all Covid-19 requirements to keep the shop clean. All of the colors are so vibrant and fun to choose from and they have a large selection. Lily is one of the techs that I see and she creates the best full set nail design. You show her your idea and she will be right on it and puts her spin on it to make it look the best. She has done my nails for at least 2 years +. And every time I get them done they are the best. Plus I get compliments on my nails always. What else I love is that it's a family business and you get treated as family. I travel all the way from Hayward to come and get my nails done by Lily. My review is solely for the service provided. The staff themselves were friendly enough and accommodating to my last minute request for an appointment. I came here yesterday for a Pedicure but ended up getting a pedicure & a full set. Be prepared to do a bit of waiting. The staff is stretched somewhat thin. I waited in an empty pedicure chair for 10 minutes then got left in a filling chair that began to overflow while the gal was working on another client. Oops. The pedicure itself was just ok. She did a quick scrub, cut, file and paint job before sending me to the nail chair. This is where the frustration came in .... My nails looked ok while being done but after drying I realized how bad they actually looked. Unfortunately they look bumpy, as if the nails aren't smooth. Even the sides are jagged and have continuously gotten snagged on things since yesterday. The underneath is sharp & had glue stuck to them and my skin. The paint job was also upsetting. Certain spots on my nails are see through from a lack of paint & there's a ton of paint on my cuticles / skin. For $80 I feel like my nails & toes could look so much better. read more
