Booked a couple's massage with my husband. He got a woman, I got a man (why???). My masseur was so rough, I was in pain for days afterwards - definitely NOT relaxing, in fact, I felt like I was getting beat up!!!!! I told him several times it was too hard and he just sort of chuckled like it was a joke or that I was being a wimp - so unprofessional!!! The hot stones used were scalding hot and when I said so - same reaction! Don't know if there's a language barrier or not, but still, you should realize when your paying client is uncomfortable and adjust accordingly. All that said, the place is clean, but I will never go back. With so many cheap massage joints around town, no reason to. Take your business somewhere you're respected and given what you're paying for. read more

I've been coming here for months, tipping well, and enjoying the experiences. I'd even brought several friends along. The masseuses were starting to recognize me there. This evening I got a masseuse named Davie (or something like that), and the massage was horrible! I'd repeatedly ask for more pressure or just more effort, but he was lazy, not intuitive to what my body needed, and avoided applying pressure even though i asked for more repeatedly. Or he would apply extreme amounts out of frustration and ask if that was ok. I actually stopped the massage before it was done because it was so uncomfortable. The front desk told me I'd gone to far to get a different masseuse, and that I should also consider tipping even though I hated the experience since he spent an hour with me. I complied and then I asked if I could at least get a discount if and when I came back to see someone else, and was told the boss would be notified, but that nothing could be done without the boss being present. I'm so disappointed and leaving with a worse headache than I had before I got here. Not sure I'll come back or recommended this place to my friends anymore since they didn't seem to care about how I was treated in the situation. The place was very nice and clean. The massage was decent, not the best nor the worst. When I went to leave my tip at the end, the lady told me that the minimum was $10. It was never stated in the beginning and there were no signs specifying anywhere. read more

They should change the name to "Makin' ya body sing!" I have been needing a massage for weeks but really couldn't pay $120 for a normal 60 minute spa treatment and I came across spa heaven online. Living just a few blocks away I decided to try it out. It was only $40 but what I expected went above and beyond at this place. The environment was beautiful and the towels were super clean. The lady's hands right from the start were healing & hot. She covered my entire body with sheets and began molding my flesh into putty. I'm an entrepreneur and small business owner/tour guide so it's very stressful on my mind and body. The hour consisted of head massage to back and lower body. I seriously had no idea I held that much tension near my butt. At one point there was hot oil and stones and by that point I felt like it was a spiritual experience. My body feels aligned and I am truly relaxed. Thank you Mimi at Spa Heaven!! I will be back for more :) read more

Spa Heaven is very clean and the staff are friendly, though there are a couple things I wish I had known going into the experience. Firstly, indicate if you would like a male or female massage therapist. My boyfriend and I went for a couples massage and I had my face in the cradle when they came in. The male masseur didn't speak and immediately went to work on me, and I had no way of knowing who was performing my massage until he spoke about 15 minutes in. The pressure was very intense, even after I asked him for softer pressure. I felt slightly uncomfortable knowing I was being massaged by a man when I didn't ask for that specifically, so I had a hard time relaxing fully, totally my own personal preference. Lesson learned, tell them your preference when you call! Secondly, when we called ahead they said they accept cards, however they didn't specify that they add a 10% charge for taxes when you pay by card. To avoid this in future I plan to bring cash to cover the services and gratuity. All in all, it was a positive experience and I will return to this local spot, but I do wish they had been up front on a few things at the start. read more

Well I took the day off from work today, and on Tuesday went in to make a 10am appointment today for my wife. That went fine, and they sold me a gift certificate for today and now it's 1020 and no one is there and no one is answering their phone. ok... i'll start by mentioning I myself did not go for the massage myself but I had sent my sister as a birthday gift & from the second she walked into here it was a disaster..multiple people walking in & out of the room without knocking, especially a man which I would assume is the manager . how rude! especially being that women have there shirts off where is the privacy?! so she calls me in the middle of the massage to tell me how terrible this was going & that she had a second to speak because the lady had just walked out & they were switching her for someone else after the massage was just getting "ok".. the second lady comes in she is terrible starts massaging her butt after she specifically told them she wanted her neck & back massaged because she had been feeling tense.. So again she switched her lady & the last one was just ok again. After asking why couldn't she remain with the one who started her massage they had said she had someone else to take care of ?! how unproffesional why would you start & pay for something that you cant even enjoy? mind you the last lady spoke the whole entire time ! it was not peaceful at all for my sister .. anyway I do not recommend this place after a groupon the recommended tip and a tax fee it all comes out to the same thing . a one hour massage at this place is $40 originally so don't fall for the groupon like I did. she neither will I ever be back read more

This was one of the most uncomfortable massage experiences ever. A woman brought me to a room (on a different floor from the room my friend was put in even though it didn't seem to be busy) and told me to take off my clothes and lie down on the table. Normally there's a sheet to get under but there wasn't one so I found a folded up towel and used that to cover myself. Also, there were still bright lights on, no relaxing atmosphere whatsoever, and the table smelled musty. After almost 10 minutes of lying there undressed I was ready to get dressed and find out what was going on when a man came in for my massage. He looked like a teenager. I instantly felt uncomfortable and asked for a woman instead. Another 5 minutes passed before she came in. First she pressed on my back and down my legs over the towel. Then she did it again. And again. This was the first 5 minutes and I was getting frustrated because this is NOT a massage. Then she pulled the towel down to my hips, exposing my entire upper body, and at that point I was extremely grateful I had asked for a woman. She rubbed lotion on my back for another 5 minutes, then finally massaged my neck and shoulders for a bit, before rubbing my back again. Then she massaged by hands, then rubbed my back. Then massaged my neck again, then rubbed my back (do you see a pattern here?) At that point she started using her elbow to massage down the entire length of my back and every time she came up to start again she hit me in the head, over and over again. A few times she pressed on parts of my spine that were neither comfortable nor safe. Needless to say, I was happy when it was over. I'm fairly certain this is more of a happy ending place so for most of their clients the quality of the massage is inconsequential. read more

My go to spot for an inexpensive massage that hits the spot when your feeling achy. Close to home and they usually have at least one person available- can't beat the price. I highly recommend if you want to save a few dollars and get right in to see someone. I love having this spot so close by. read more

I found this spa on Groupon, and since it was in the neighborhood I gave it a try. I was very pleased with the entire experience. The place was very clean and nicely decorated. I was warmly greeted and seen to right away. My masseur was very through and worked out all of my kinks! The hot stones were a very nice touch. I will probably be returning soon! read more

I went to Spa Heaven tonight with my friend. Although the establishment is very dingy the services were still good. I had read other reviews mentioning how the receptionists demand a $10 tip for the body massage so I already had that in mind. I had a one hour foot massage and tipped over 20% , in addition they did not let me use the yelp check in code despite it saying it can be used for any service. They said it is not applicable for foot massage so I was fine. When my friend went to pay she wanted to use the yelp check in code, once again they acted confused. When they finally acknowledged the code they said they would give the discount but the receipt still showed the full amount which did not make any sense. She tipped the $10 they require and the receptionist came back to me and said all services require $10 tip even if my service cost less. I told them that did not make sense and they proceeded to insult me in Chinese despite knowing I spoke their language. It went from a good experience to a very sour one. read more

I bought a couples massage on Groupon. The massage was good but there was an additional $8 tax that I wasn't aware of. After the massage was over I went to pay a tip. The lady at the front desk told me it's a $10 tip min per person, which is ridiculous. I've bought several massages from different Groupon places, there is no such thing as a tip minimum. read more

My boyfriend and i went there last night for a couples massage. The place was clean and beautiful. The rooms played very calming music that you "could" fall asleep too IF the 2 workers in the room would shut up!! They talked to each other the whole 60 minutes it was suppose to be quite so we can relax. No matter if i paid on groupon or paid full price, i should get the same service!! 2. The male that massaged me was so busy looking at the other lady talking that he kept digging in the same spot. I had to say something to him 2 times. Standard, rushed massage, masseuse checked in about intensity which was fine, but he was moving so fast. I was specific about areas of focus but he didn't actually work through the knots in my upper back and neck. THEN he told me to relax my neck, which I was clearly too tense to do, and when he cracked it (which I DID NOT authorize a masseuse to do) it strained a muscle in my neck. To top it off, when it came time to pay, he stood there with his arms crossed staring at me while I signed the check. I left 20% but was immediately told there was a $10 minimum on tips ( I left $9 on $45). I was so shocked I paid it, because I felt uncomfortable and intimidated, but then walked out and felt completely furious-I was quoted $45, last I heard tips were elective. Why should I make up the difference that the shop wont pay their massage therapists? I also made an appointment but they were 20 minutes late. I just left this spa after receiving the worst massage ever. Admittedly, I did not make an appointment and had some time to spare. I had been there about a half dozen times before and it's always been pretty good. I got the 90 minutes which is $65. Great deal but my masseuse, Eddie was either new or just completely oblivious because he thought that his objective was to assault me. I have never had a more aggressive bodywork. I have had countless massages and this is the first time that I wanted to know the time so it could be over. Even when I asked him to be gentle and slow down, he would just revert back to an intensity that can only be described as assault. Nothing relaxing about this at all. And to make matters worse, the girl-woman at the front desk tells me the minimum tip for a 90 minutes massage is $15.00. Non negotiable. Seriously. Note to Spa Heaven gratuity Is based on price and service of time. This is not a good look. Go elsewhere read more
