I've sampled a few spa services including massage and nails, but I mainly visit for Janie in the hair salon. Janie is a master at color and cuts. Over the years I've tried paper thin highlights with long layers, chestnut ombré with a bob cut, wispy and chunky bangs, and now balayage with a warm base color--all gorgeous! Janie keeps current on new trends in cuts and color, but always customizes to your preferences. She considers your maintenance style, skin tone, etc. when maintaining your look or doing something totally different. Oh, and her blowouts are the best in town. Bouncy and shiny for days! I normally come here to get my hair done by Janie who does an AMAZING job! Today, I came in to get my first ever facial. I chose the Pore Rescue and face looks amazing! I have sensitive and oily skin and Ashley was able to get blackheads out of my nose and chin that I thought were impossible to remove. I know it sounds crazy, but it feels as though my face can breathe. She also gave me a light massage on my neck, shoulders, arms, and hands. All in all, it was very relaxing and felt amazingly good. I have had hundreds of massages in my life and Vero changed my life. She is very professional and sweet and most of all knows how to give a great massage! I wish I had booked the full 80 minute massage but, had booked the 50 minute one instead so we mad the best of it and just concentrated on my upper and lower back. Wow she has the strongest hands and knows some techniques that left me speechless and on cloud nine for sure. I will only go to Vero from now on. My entire family and I have been coming to Spa Mio for services for years. We have had all the services done from massages to nails to hair services. Tristan is an amazing hair stylist. I have lived in Las Vegas for years and have had my hair done at many different spas and salons and Tristan is the best, by far. She has 25 plus years experience and instinctively knows the right color and cut for a person's face. My daughter had her hard to manage hair cut and styled by Tristan also and loved it. The manicurists are also amazing. The facials and massages I've had there were also very good. The spa itself is beautiful and very tranquil. Amazing sauna, hot tub, and spa amenities. You also may use the pool for free with any service. The pool area is inviting and clean. This place never fails to relax me and is reasonably priced, particularly for locals. read more

Took my mom here for her B day and we got a Facial with mani & pedi also the paraffin wax treatment. We absolutely loved it!!! Everyone we came in contact with staff wise was so nice and polite. We were greeted and taken to our lockers where we got our robe and slippers. We enjoyed the refreshments they had readily available. The eucalyptus steam room leaves your whole body feeling refreshed. Maria was wonderful with mani/pedi and was gentle on my moms hands that have RA. Sasha did my facial and she was great! And totally right when she said we should papmer ourselves more. We will definitely be returning and luckily we are locals so we enjoy the locals discount. Booked a couples massage for my boyfriends birthday. Mario and Kimberly(?) were great therapists! Facilities were very nice - loved the steam room and cold shower. Lounge was stocked with juice, infused water, and fruit - everything was great. Locker room/changing area got a bit crowded, I had to wait to get to my locker at one point. I had very high hopes for this spa especially since the reviews were so good. But unfortunately it didn't hit the mark for me. The spa itself is very beautiful and clean, I did appreciate the Moroccan oil shampoo and conditioner in the shower stalls. I also enjoyed the eucalyptus steam room and the cold fruit drinks they served with the fresh oranges on top. Now for the reason for the 2 stars , I had booked a 50 min massage so while waiting in the relaxation lounge I repeat RELAXATION LOUNGE I could hear the employees talking loud when you come to a spa you come to relax not hear the employees talking loud, use your inside voice please! Finally, my massage therapist comes to get me and takes me to the massage rooms which by the way are decorated beautifully. If only the massage was as beautiful as the room, now keep in mind I'm a massage whore I get 3 to 4 massages a month so I know what a good massage is supposed to feel like. Unfortunately my massage therapist was not the right fit for me and after 20 min I had to excuse myself and I got dressed and made my way to the front desk to pay for my service. As I approached the front desk they could see from my face I was not a happy camper, they asked a few questions about the experience and gave me a $35 discount. Not once did they apologize for the experience nor did they even try to see if they could do anything to fix the situation. I've been in the service industry for 20 years and would never let a guest or client leave without making sure I did all I could do to make sure the guest was happy. So on that lovely note I'll take my bussiness elsewhere!!! read more

I was a little hesitant to book a day at the spa after reading some of the reviews, but I am so glad I did. I got the labor of love package, which is a 50 min massage and 50 min pedicure. I had Tony for my massage and he did wonderful. I read reviews saying their massage felt short, but the 50 min for me was great. I felt so relaxed and it never felt like the massage was rushed. I forgot the ladies name who did my pedicure, but she was so nice and friendly to talk with. Overall it's a very nice spa and all the workers were very friendly. When we first moved here, we stayed at the M resort and took advantage of their spa. The staff is great- incredibly friendly and the spa itself is wonderfully relaxing. But the 5 stars is really based on Anthony in the salon. He is not only a superb stylist, he totally understands what we want and explains what he's doing and why. Plus, he blew us away by remembering who we were, with details, the second time we came in. Yesterday i received a body wrap and a facial, i will never go to a different spa in town again. So relaxing, staff is super friendly and this quiet and cozy. Perfect way to spend the day. I originally set aside 2hrs out of the day for this.. ended up staying over 4. They have saunas, steam room (amazing) and jacuzzis you can use all day before and after your treatments. Their manicure/pedicures are on par with other spas in Las Vegas. I've had better! I recommend you don't go there for a haircut or color! The stylist doesn't listen! I went in with longer hair and gave specific instructions that I didn't want my hair really short . I asked for it to be around my ear lobes... I came away with a "pixie style cut" where the sides are less than 1 inch long! Don't need to mention that the sides aren't even the same length! To make matters worse, she left the top about 4 inches long! What a mess! I've given the hairstyle 2 weeks and it is even more unmanageable now than when she first cut it! It looks like someone put a bowl on top of my head and shaved everything off below it! The color job so "blah" that it is barely noticable that it had been colored and she's supposed to be a color specialist! Go there for the spa services if you can get a good deal, but, don't go near the hair salon! read more

I highly recommend this spa if you are looking to get away from the strip for a more cozy, intimate experience with many perks. In addition, this is the most underrated spa in the Vegas area. For instance, I brought my mom for mother's day and bestie for her b-day and they loved it. One of the employees was so sweet and helped my mom because she was so helpful. Since it was a weekday, it was quite empty because we chose to visit in the afternoon. They also upgraded their robes. Furthermore, the pineapple-cranberry drinks are too delish. Moreover, we relished in the cucumbers and cold towels for the complete experience. Since it is summer, you also get access to the main pool which is too awesome! Almost forgot, I usually start the day pass (no services) by working out at their fitness center stocked with supplies, hit the pool, hot tub, steam room, sauna, and finish with a shower. Parking is great since you do not have to go through the casino to get there and it is plentiful. If you are on a budget, I highly recommend a day pass (no services) for $25 during the weekday. Spent the afternoon getting a facial mani pedi and haircut . The whole experience was top notch. Upon going into the spa you feel I instantly relaxed. Staff are very courteous and they all know your name. I was escorted to each appointment and offered beverages. The robes they use are unbelievably soft and the whole place just smells fantastic. Evie did my many pedi and she has 30 years if experience - my feet were like a baby's after she did her magic! Jackie cut my hair and has years of experience as well. When you first walk in and you smell the spa and you hear the music it takes you to another world far away. I had the July special which included a 50 min Relaxation Massage, a 50 min Essential Facial, and a 50 min Spa Pedicure. The whole experience was top notch!! My mom sent me here for a belated birthday spa day and it was heavenly. I booked the "Labor Day Special:" 25 min massage, 25 min sugar scrub, and 25 min manicure. I added a 25 min express facial. All the technicians were wonderful. Shout outs to Shelly, the masseuse, and Veronica, who did the sugar scrub and facial. Jenna, the room attendant, is really attentive to your needs. The spa itself was small but had everything you could want: hot tub, steam room, sauna, and large rain shower, which was one of my favorite parts. My favorite service was the sugar scrub. It smells amazing and you get a mini massage from her applying the scrub then moisturizing you. 25% discount for locals, but it doesn't count on set sale packages. The one negative is they could use more snacks or at least more variety of fruit offered, like grapes or strawberries. Note, they automatically add 20% tip for each service. Will definitely return. Perhaps for Black Friday weekend, where Shelly told me it buy one service, get a second service 50% off. read more

I got a massage and pedicure from Spa Mio and it was a lovely experience. I was given a tour of the spa and was very impressed! I am not a prude by any means, but you will find women who are 100% comfortable with their bodies, just an FYI. I was just taken aback because I have only been to spas where people walk around in robes, keeping covered up while changing, etc. I wish more women would be comfy with their bodies rather then resort to cosmetic surgery or covering up their bodies. Anyway, it was very relaxing and the water they have is so awesome. It is infused with flavors and I must have downed 5 gallons while I was there. My massage was pretty good, which is why I gave this place a 4 star rating. I have had better but like I said, it was pretty good. My pedicure was awesome, very relaxing and the technician was super sweet. The showers were awesome, i must have stayed in there for close to an hour! I didn't even want to review this because I wanted to keep this secret diamond on the outskirts of Vegas to myself. But... I have to gush about this super spa experience. I've wanted to go back everyday since I was last there. (about 2 weeks ago). I went to Vegas to visit my family, and because it was a vacation, I wanted to have a spa day, and bring my mom along. We were looking for a place with a gym, steam room, and pool where we could have a "spa day" without having an overpriced massage or staying over at a hotel. The M had a locals day pass for $25. I decided to splurge on a mini facial as well, and GEEZ I wish I would have spring for the whole hour because my esthetician gave the best facial I've EVER had. Ok, the spa experience...you walk in, they show you your locker which has a robe and sandals. They ask if they can get you a cucumber lemon water or a cranberry spritzer... YUM... They have fresh fruit, and bottled chilled and room temp water. All of their hair products are Moroccan Oil... OMG smells so good and was magic on my hair. The gym is state of the art.. Gorgeous, brand new, and it feels like your own personal gym. They have tvs on every machine, brand new headphones for your convenience, more bottled water and fresh towels... And more beautiful bowls of fresh fruit in case you want to take a break and have a snack. The staff comes in and checks on our well being without being over bearing and annoying. The eucalyptus steam room is gloriously and they even have iced towels and cucumbers for your eyes right outside the door.. The hot tubs are beautiful.. The sauna, fantastic. The showers were super clean..l could go on, but you get the point... It was so nice, my mom and I went back a second time that week to have the experience all over again. New to the area and took a friend with me a couple of weeks ago and we are still talking about our wonderful experience. We had massages, a mani/pedi and took advantage of the jacuzzi and the sauna. A little counter intuitive to take in a sauna when you live in the dessert, but it nothing short of spectacular! The oils from our massages continued to work their magic creating synergistic muscle relaxations that can only be achieved with this combo - well worth the money my friends! We then took in an impromptu mani/pedi, which tee'd us up well for the evening events. The spa was incredibly relaxing with a lot of space to relax - you could spend hours there. A bonus - if you book a treatment, you can use their gym. One could spend an entire day here! I recommend getting a treatment late morning, early afternoon followed by a sauna and or jacuzzi. Use the showers there to get ready and around 5:00 pm head down to the wine bar in the hotel. It's a great way to decompress from the work week. Locals do receive a discount and you can opt to put the tip on your bill or tip independently. Grab your girlfriends and a bottle of champagne and have a relaxing indulgent spa day! read more

After my second visit to Spa Mio last week, I just decided I might kind of be in love with this place. First visit was a year or two ago for my birthday, where my husband and I went for couples massages. I don't think I was really able to appreciate the whole experience because the men's and women's facilities are separated and there's very little opportunity to be with your spouse before or after the treatment. We had maybe 5 minutes after changing in the locker rooms in a small waiting area before the therapists came to get us. We then had 50 minute relaxation massages, and I don't know if it was short but I was just left wanting more. I would only probably go back for a massage if it was a longer more intensive massage. That being said, I probably would hesitate to come back here with him, since there's nothing else we can do together without leaving the spa. I wish they had just one co-ed area with hot tubs or plunge pools so you could relax and spend some additional time together. Spa Mio isn't really unique in this aspect, since that seems to be the case with most spas I've looked into - but regardless I will probably save Spa Mio for girl time, like I did last week with my Mom. We went for her birthday to get her a pedicure and I had a quick manicure. We were early so we got to relax in the waiting area and have some refreshments. I also happened to ask on a whim if they had someone to do eyelashes and luckily they did, so after my manicure I went with one of the aestheticians for that service. Melanie did my lashes and was awesome, I can't wait to go back and schedule a facial or some other treatment. My Mom was really happy with her pedicure as well. So as I said, I will definitely be back for relaxing girl time, but will probably either save the money and get massages somewhere closer to home in Summerlin or continue to search for a spa that has some co-ed facilities. read more

In the "wet" area are lounge chairs, two hot tubs, a eucalyptus steam room, a dry sauna, and a cold waterfall shower. Finally, the locker room with all the shower amenities you need. The Spa Mio at The M Resort is amazing. The entire area is great. The sauna, steam room, gym, etc is the best in Las Vegas. I go to one of the spas in the strip hotels about 3 or 4 times a year and none of them quite stack up to this one. Don't get me wrong, there are some great spas on the strip, but this one is just a bit better than all of them. This is about my 4th time here and certainly won't be my last. My sister lives locally and goes to Mio pretty frequently cause her house is so close to the M Resort. So my mom, her and I decided to go to there to get pedicure as we have in past. We are so disappointed and WONT be going back ever again. You would think a nice hotel like the M would deliver great service at such a nice spa but it does not at all. Do not ever get a pedicure there! They shove you out the door and rip you off. My sister signed us up for 80 minute Spa pedicure. It was confirmed as well with the front desk when we checked in. We were so excited to go in and kick our feet up and relax. First off, we were right on time and sat and sat for about 15-20 min in the lobby before we were called back. We get back to the chairs to get ready We are thinking we are going to get the added on time because THEIR STAFF was late getting us back! NOPE......It was the quickest pedicure we have ever had! There was no foot massage, no taking the time to clean our nails, or even use all the lotion and stuff she had at her station! They spent maybe 5 min filing our nails. Everything was sooo FAST and I was thinking OK they have to be rushing or they will slow down...BUT NOPE! Also when it was time for the techs to do the warm wraps around our feet we sat for about 20 min while the techs went and chatted away a storm in the back. We all three were looking around wondering if they had forgotten about us. By the time they came back the washcloths were cold. They drained the water, and put our polish on. I was done in about 40 minutes, my mom 50 and my sister 55. Talk about a rip off. We signed up and were charged for a 80 minute spa pedicure!!! We got a crappy and short pedicure instead that was probably worth about $20.00. I'm shocked because I feel like they almost tried to con us but luckily we said something. I sure hope whoever is the manager of that spa pays attention to their techs ripping people off. Do they need timers to make sure they deliver the right time and lessons on how to give a real good pedicure. I mean come on you work at a nice hotel. We walked out of there with feet untouched but polished but could have polished at home instead. Do not let them fool you in to paying that much for NOTHING. What a scam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your better off doing it yourself or going to a better spa with people that don't con you.
