Avoid Spa Parts Depot -- terrible experience with wrong parts and poor customer service I ordered replacement headrests for my hot tub from Spa Parts Depot, but they sent the wrong ones -- they didn't fit my model at all. When I contacted the company about the issue, it was very difficult to get a response and even harder to get a refund. After a long delay and multiple follow-ups, I only received a partial refund. Overall, this has been an extremely frustrating experience. Ordered a spa circulation pump 11 days ago. Status still shows awaiting fulfillment. Multiple attempts have been made with the company to obtain a tracking number. The company indicates that they are drop shipping directly from the manufacturer but would get a tracking number that shows the status. They have failed to provide any tracking or a date that the part may be delivered. Poor customer service and who knows when the part will be delivered if ever. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THESE LOSERS! Wow, what can I say... this company could not care less about their customers. I am amazed they are still in business. Our bathroom spa pump stopped working. We are selling our house, and are in escrow. We needed it replaced ASAP to pass the Buyer's inspections, All of which I told the lady when I ordered it. She assured me it would be no problem, THEY WOULD GET IT RIGHT OUT TO ME. A week went by and no pump. I got an email from them saying the pump I ordered had been discontinued, but THEY had chosen a replacement pump for me, and had already shipped it. Another week goes by, and the pump finally arrives. It is the wrong pump, and is missing a crucial part, which they should have known by just looking at the part number code. I finally got a live person on the phone, and they assured me it would be fixed. I was pretty upset because I had cancelled the Buyer's inspection once and they were scheduled to comeback. Nothing. I kept calling them, and there was always a lame excuse. When I did get through to them, the owner assured me it was all the distributor's fault. He said he would send me the missing part, and that I should crack open the electrical box on the pump and install it myself. Great. Now I am an electrician. The electrical box on the pump has screws that have been sealed with some type of sealant, to verify that no one has tampered with the inside of the pump. The guy said no worries, your warranty will still be fine. No part. Another week goes by, and now we approaching ONE MONTH since I ordered the original pump. I called for like the 10th time, and the lady says she will send the part THAT DAY. I tell her to PLEASE send it by overnight mail [it weighs almost nothing], that that's the least they can do since they are asking ME to fix THEIR mistake. Another 3 days goes by, and no part. I call again. She tells me they mailed it, but the owner would not allow her to send it by overnight mail. Another day goes by. No part. I called them again, and told them to FORGET IT. Cancel the order, and I am not paying to return the pump or the part they supposedly sent. Fine, they transfer me over to another person who was real snotty on the phone. She agreed to the return, and finally said, Yes, they would pay for the return shipping. The next day the owner calls me. He makes a bunch of lame excuses, and he tells me if I will keep the pump he will discount it by $50. He assures me that the part had been mailed and should get there today or tomorrow, and that he would be available to walk me through installing the part. He promised to send the tracking number by email later that day. I said sure, I can wait another day, on one condition, that he is available to guide me through the modification. He agrees, and gives me the credit card discount on the spot. The next day, no part, no tracking number. I have to call yet again, and ask for the tracking number. The next day the owner emails me the tracking number. The following day the part arrives. I open up the electrical box, and it looks pretty basic. A white wire and a black wire, that is connected to another white wire and black wire by terminals. I open the part up, and there are no instructions. The part has 3 possible terminals to connect to, and they are labelled in microscopic print with electrician jargon. I google the lingo, and have to take a guess at what it means. I take a picture of the switch and email it to the owner, asking him to please call me asap to tell me which wire goes to which terminal, which would take just a few seconds of his time. Nothing. No response. I call the next day and tell the lady that I need 30 seconds of the owner's time, and that I sent him an email explaining the question. She assured me that she would make sure he knew about it. Nothing. No response. It is now Friday, one full month since I ordered the original pump, before the July 4th weekend. The inspectors are coming on Sunday, and I still have a huge hole open at the base of the spa where the pump goes in. I call again, explain to the lady that I need 30 seconds of the owner's time, is he there? She said, Yes, she will get him, and then immediately comes back on the line and says, "Oops! He just stepped out. He will be back in 20 minutes and will call you then." Several hours later, NO RESPONSE. Their web site says they are open on Saturdays. I wait another day. Nothing. No response. It is now after business hours, on a 3-day holiday weekend, and the rotten SOB's left me hanging. These people are poison. read more

I needed a new pump for my spa. I looked on line but decided to pay more in case any problems arose installing it. Ron had the 4.5hp pump I wanted. I took it and installed it myself. Unfortunately, it had a crack near the impeller and leaked. Ron sent out a replacement and a knowledgeable technician who removed the cracked one and installed one that didn't leak. He took several hours doing this and checking everything out on the spa. It was well worth buying locally and I highly recommend Spa Parts Depot as the place to choose. read more

Friendly conversation, Ron even made sure that I had the correct wiring setup as not to fall into some of calamity as the two pumps or wired differently depending on the year/model manufacture. It it wasn't for his preemptive extensive knowledge I would not have been able to get my Jacuzzi up and running. This will be my new to go to shop... strongly recommend, I would recommend also to go in person, with your old parts. This business is very straightforward and they don't price gouge. Ordered an item from them on the 14 of the month, was supposed to be there by the 23rd, wasn't shipped until I messaged them 6 days later on the 20th. Then turns out they shipped it to hawaii and had to get it turned around and didn't end up getting it till the 28th. I left a bad review on ebay because there was zero response from them and the part was very late. I would have just bought the part from china had I know it would have taken that long. Going by their website and descriptions, I ordered one size and they sent another size. Not a big deal until you try to get help getting what you paid for (not to mention they charged $14.95 for a $5.00 piece, but I needed it so what the heck I thought). Spa Depot? Are you kidding me! What a joke this place is! Here's my story. I ordered over $500 worth of jets and other parts I needed to refurbish my older Calspa hot tub. They said it would be a week. Got no call from them saying the parts were in, so I called. The woman on the phone said they were in only to find out only two pressure switches were at there. They asked if I wanted to pay for for all the order, I declined only paying for the two items saying the rest of the order would be in in a week or so. A older gentleman who I think was the owner came out and said he located the pillows I asked about and he would order them as well. For my inconvenience, the woman offered be a container of bromine. Ok cool, I see they are concerned for their customer. Fast forward another two weeks, I had to call them AGAIN! They guy who originally took my order answered the call and said he remembered me. He asked if I could send him a photo of the parts. So I did to do my part. So I did, he said he thinks they are in and would call as soon as he found them. Going on four week after I sent him the photos and no call please, nada, zip, zilch! Obviously, he got lost looking for the parts! I should have known as soon as I walked in the "Spa Depot" it was a BBQ joint selling smokers, rubs and pellets that took up three quarters of the showroom with a little area in the far back almost hidden with spa chemicals and small assorted spa accessories. I have totally given up on this place and will not go back. If you want BBQ smokers or related bbq rubs and sauces, I am sure you will find it overpriced. For me, I'll never go back or even inquire about my spa parts I ordered. I wanted to give a our local business my business, all I got from them was the business. I ordered 3 replacement pillows and a corner pillow for my Caldera spa. 1 of the 3 pillows was the wrong size, even though the bag had the correct part number. The pillow itself had the wrong part number molded into it and it was nearly an inch shorter than the other two. Called them and the first response was like well you have to soak it and then stretch it to fit. I said this is the wrong part, it looks like the bag was opened and resealed with shipping tape. The two idiots on the other end acted like I didn't know what I was talking about. Finally the guy on the phone says just return it with the invoice and they will ship out another one. I asked so I'm stuck with paying return shipping for your mistake? His response was that's the way we do it here. So I pay $10 to ship back a $27 part for an error that was not my fault?
