My spa cover was falling apart, and we were entering the chilly, rainy season, so I decided to shell out the $$ for a new one. I found these guys fairly easily online and decided to go with them. The ordering process was very clear, but I still somehow screwed up the measurements. Fortunately, they had the wherewithal to doublecheck with me before making it because they said, in so many words, that my measurements didn't make sense. They suggested what they thought were my actual measurements, since it was apparently a common size, so I went with those. The cover arrived exactly 2 weeks later very well-wrapped. The cover itself was absolutely beautiful! It seemed to be well-made and sturdy with a couple of little "ah-ha" kinda features, like pull handles underneath the center seam to aid in moving the large heavy item. Those simple handles make it SO much easier to pull the cover back on my spa while I'm still standing in it. Nice touch! It also seems to retain heat in the spa better than my old one. I had been looking for a local company to replace a sub standard cover purchased from another state 2.5 years ago. That cover had a very cheap aluminum center brace on the styro in the covers, and had split down the middle of each center half at only 1 year. I finally discovered San Diego Spa Cover in March, 2024! They were very careful to get the dimensions correct and make sure what I sent in the order was actually what I wanted. I was surprised to find that their prices were $500.00 less than 2 well known companies from outside CA - with all the same upsale items I wanted. The cover came within 3 weeks! The others had a 6-8 week window. The new cover is a perfect fit! So much better than the last one. Better stitching, Velcro closure on the center, much tighter closure and the better fabric I ordered is an obvious upgrade. It looks great and I expect this one to last past the 5 year warranty! The only complaint was that I wasn't notified of the date for delivery, and they were left leaning up against my automatic garage door. read more

I found this company off the internet. I'm very sorry I did. I tried calling a day after my order was placed to cancel but they never called back. I forgot about it and when I emailed them, they noted they had never received any voicemail. I have the phone records to show that I left a lengthy VM. Without going back and forth on that, let me just get to the point. One - it took three weeks for this custom spa cover from Mexico to be made. Many other providers can get a custom spa cover by end of week. Two - they charge more than most providers and a delivery charge. Three - on date of delivery, which was to be at 7:30 am, the man came from Tijuana at 6:20 am - waking my family up - ringing my doorbell multiple times. He said he wanted to avoid traffic when I noted he was over an hour early. They leave the box there and all the wrappings and won't discard the trash. They won't help you set it up. This is despite paying $38 in a delivery charge. Any other local provider would take the giant box it came in and discard/take it with them and would remove the old cover. Not this company. They also just leave parts to drill in for the tie downs. They don't install. There is nothing custom or concierge like about doing business with this company so you pay more and get less. I wrote the company several times and all I got was "life advice" from the president telling me "life is what you make it." Thanks, old wise one. I have two post-graduate degrees and I find your tone condescending and rude. I highly recommend you contact your local spa repairman and he or she can probably get you this for much cheaper. Please don't make the same mistake I did. They order this out of TJ and pay pennies. Then, they charge us $400 for something that is bare bones and they don't even take the trash out. By the way, my spa is small, fits only 2-3 people. Just call around and find better companies to work with. read more

Great product, great customer service, great experience overall. I spent considerable time shopping around the San Diego area (as well as checking online) trying to find the best value. In my particular case, I needed an over-sized cover, which ruled-out many of the online vendors and re-sellers on Craigslist. While I did find one re-seller promising a lower price, the communication and customer service were terrible and I was nervous about making such an investment on little more than an email exchange.
