I called to make an appointment as a new patient and they demanded that I get an referral frim my primary (I have an HMO). I explained that my plan does not require a referral or a primary. They didn't believe me. I had my primary send a referral but Ho's office never called me back to make an appointment. I called them after a few weeks to see what's up and they told me they have no record of receiving a referral and that I would need to have another referral sent. My primary was kind enough to send another referral and Ho's office called me the same day. The person on the phone made an appointment for the first available. The day before my appointment the office calls me and tells me that the referral had expired on the 1st. The first available appointment THEY gave me was on the 3rd. I said that the person that made my appointment must have seen the date that they claim was an expiration date. They said they know nothing about that. People! This is 2021! Their scheduling software surely documents the date the appointment was made and by whom! They had the nerve to ask me to request yet another referral from my primary. I refused! I mean come on; my primary knows that a referral is not even required by my insurance plan. I could go on & on about how the office manager calls me back that same day and offered to call my primary for another referral and a week goes by and I call back and the same office manager has no recollection of our previous conversation and asks me if I'm a new patient!!!!!!!!!!! Need I go on???????

Although Dr McManus is a good doctor the Tres Vision group is dishonest. I switched to Tres Vision…read moreGroup because Dr McManus had moved there. I have had the exact same exam with Dr. McManus for the past 5 years which is a yearly check up for age related medical issues. I have never paid for anything but my deductible as everything was covered by medicare. This time when I went the office staff said I owed $85 towards my medicare deductible for the year so i paid it because I knew my deductible was not yet fulfilled. Several months later when checking with my medicare I found out Tres Vision never billed medicare and my deductible went to another doctor's appointment. I went back to Tres Vision and spoke to the billing department and they told me I was put in as a self pay patient so the $85 covered that visit. I told them i have never been a self care patient and Medicare has paid for the same exam for the past 4 years so I wanted them to bill medicare and give me my $ back. They insisted medicare wouldn't cover it and it may cost me more but I insisted again so finally they relented and said they would bill medicare. I then received a record from medicare that they sent them $93 so I returned asking for my $ back. Tres Vision said they wouldn't give me my $ back because I had a refraction exam for glasses. I don't wear glasses and have never received a prescription for glasses and have had the same exam for 5 years in a row from Dr. Mcmanus so I didn't accept that explaination. The bottom line is I received 3 different stories from 3 employees of Tre Vision and I paid what they said was full payment of $85 for a (self pay) exam and then they received $93 from Medicare for the same exam and they would not refund me ANY of my $. I have canceled all future appointments with Tres Vision for myself and my husband due to their Dishonesty!!

Apparently my card was never charged, but they shipped the contacts and I got a letter at the end of the year stating that they didn't receive payment and that I was delinquent - never received a letter before this and that was over six months ago. They claimed to have called my phone, but I don't have record of a message from them. You would think they would have mailed a bill sooner. Someone took down my credit card number so is my card information just lying around the office? I have been trying to get in touch with someone for weeks left messages. No one has called back no answer on the billing line and a left a message in the office no call back. Finally today I got an answer and I gave my credit card number again so hopefully they have their money now but that will be the last dollar they get from our family. I missed out on the $200 rebate due to never getting the receipt.

Now I am able to pop in and try out any frames I want. The staff are always super helpful and nice. I'm always greeted/acknowledged when I first walk in, even when they are with another customer. The store is clean and well put together. Warby Parker is one of the few that offer an anti fatigue lens. A midpoint before bifocals/progressives which are much harder to get used to. The anti fatigue lens has become a game changer for me. Being on the computer all day long I know longer get headaches and feel myself squinting so much less. As for pricing.... I was able to get 2 pairs (with the 2 pair discount) for the same price without insurance than if I were going to a place through my insurance. For reference, quoted $200 at Pearl ($850 with $640 insurance discount). $213 total at Warby with the anti fatigue (adds $100) and the thinner lenses (adds $40).
