    So delightful

Food 3 stars. One of my favorite convenient stores whenever I come to NYU area. Grab a quick takeout box, blend in the city vibe, and listen to my son playing piano in the Washington Square Park. Experience priceless!

Very conveniently located in the midst of NYU buildings It's also great that they offer students and anyone with an NYU ID card a 10% discounts. It's not much but a discount is a discount. Unfortunately I'm not too big of a fan of their breakfast options like Bagels and breakfast sandwiches. Their lunch wraps and sandwiches are better but I feel like it's a bit bland and lacking in taste. The coffee is great though and I love how its self serve. The buffet in the middle is a hit or miss sometimes. It's not the best but they have varied options everyday. Also I wish they would put labels on the food because sometimes I don't know what I'm grabbing and it's a surprise when I bite into it after I buy it. They also have sushi options which is great but I don't like how it's so out in the open where bacteria can get in (they do have plastic Saran wrap as a cover but people don't always recover it after serving themselves and you never know if someone coughed around it, etc). Besides buying from the buffet or from the deli counter where they make sandwiches right on the spot they also have prepackaged food options like sandwiches, fruit, and pastires in the front.

There was already a line inside when we got there, but they did a fantastic job getting everyone seated in a good amount of time. The restaurant is definitely on the small side and very tight, but the staff here know how to navigate this place. The person working the food was a machine. She did a fantastic job making sure the food came out correctly and handed it to the servers. I had a front row seat and just watched her orchestrate the whole time. Anyways, I ordered the pastrami on rye and the wife ordered the pastrami reuben. The food came out at a good pace. One thing I noticed is that Carnegie rolls up their pastrami. Most deli's I've been to usually would slice the meat and lay it on the bread, but not here. I can see why they roll it up as it gives you the impression that you are getting a lot of meat. But the problem is that there are parts of the bread where there's no meat whatsoever. I'd rather have them lay the meat on the bread so that every bite I get a bit of meat also. I just ended up not eating the part that was just bread. However, I do love that they toast the bread. Gives it a nice crunch when you bite in to it. I did think it was odd that they give you a side salad with balsamic vinegar. Afterwards, we got a slice of their NY Cheesecake. This was probably the biggest piece of NY Cheesecake I've ever gotten at a Deli. Usually it's sliced thinner than this. It was topped with strawberries that tasted like jam. The cheesecake was good and not too sweet. It had that thickness and smoothness from a NY Cheesecake. This is definitely not a place where you would eat and chit chat. It's more of a get in, get out type of place so they can turn over the table for the next guests.

I'm so glad Broad Nosh Bagels & Deli popped up in my search, as it was exactly what I was looking to enjoy. A couple of us trekked the few blocks to find the storefront. Inside it was PACKED, and several groups and lines snaked around the dividers. But the line moved quickly between customers picking up to-go meals and placing orders at the counters. The display cases are beautiful and feature so many different kinds of cream cheese. (Who knew you could make a whole vat of Biscoff?) They also had many types of smoked fish and toppings for customers filing through. Once you order food, you take your ticket to the register where you can add any drinks. This also went fairly quickly. Food and drink order numbers were called out and checked with the receipts, although they called out a set of orders for several minutes and no one came to pick them up. There are a few tables there, but since customers wait to grab drinks and food near the front, the couple tables at the front were basically for crowd control. I definitely wouldn't try to eat there unless I happened to be going at a quieter time. I got the bagel with smoked salmon, and it was exactly what I had been craving. Their bagels are a quarter pound each, so you might even get two meals out of it if you have a fridge for storage. But even as good as the bagel was, the hot chai latte with oat milk was the star for me. It was so incredibly layered for flavor and fragrant, just lightly sweet. I would go out of my way on a trip to NYC just to get one of these for breakfast! We all really enjoyed our food, and I will definitely return.

Had good flavor and was enough to warm me up on this brisk morning. My niece did a bagel, and after trying all week she finally got one exactly how she wanted it made. Date of visit: April 14, 2026…read more Our friend wanted to go to a real New York deli during her first trip to the city and this is the one in the vicinity of Times Square and our evening show that was the highest rated according to my fellow Yelpers, but I am not quite sure why based on our experience. Things did start out great, with Boudjema being very friendly and helpful as we placed our order. And once we got seated, we were able to fully appreciate the vibe, both in the primarily 70s playlist, but also the mirror and brass touches across the restaurant. Food-wise, however, there were some definite opportunities. My Roasted Turkey sandwich did come on quite possibly the best rye bread I have ever had, warm and flavorful. But while the gravy was also good, the turkey was cold. This odd temperature mismatch made it hard to appreciate the generous portion of meat on the sandwich. We also ordered some tater tots and those were quite good. While it definitely could have been worse--and I've had worse in New York City--this also could have been so much better.
