If you know me, you know I love a good diner. Carnegie on 8th Ave was ok. The interior was bright and colorful and the wait staff was friendly. Upon ordering, the food was on the table within ten minutes. Ok, let's get into it. First up was the Smashed Double Stack with caramelized onions and chipotle sauce. This burger was juicy and had a nice char on it. This also came with fries and a salad. I would have preferred more fries, but now I know for next time. 5/5 Next was the Bacon Toast. This is French Toast with chopped smoke bacon and walnuts topped with a sweet mascarpone and caramel drizzle. This is also served with a small bowl of fruit. That was a nice touch because it is not mentioned on the mention as a part of the breakfast. As much as I tried to love it, even though the flavors blended nicely, I was not pleased with how tough the bread was to cut. I like French Toast to have a crispy surface and texture, but once you cut into it, it should be moist. This was not that. 3/5 Lastly, was a vegetarian omelette served with a small salad. In my mind, you can never go wrong with an omelette. 5/5 The one thing I will try next are the mozzarella sticks. I was eyeing the kid across from me who had them. They had a cheese pull out of this world. Stay tuned for those pics. I suggest making reservations because it can get pretty busy at this Times Square location. If you are near by, stop in for a bite to each. There is something for everyone. Til we eat again....

This place has everything you want in a restaurant. The location is great, the service was phenomenal, and the food was delicious. Warning: everything looks good on the menu. Good luck deciding. The only negative thing is that they only give you a 1 oz container of maple syrup. It is impossible to eat all of that French Toast on so little syrup. Each additional container is $3.

We had breakfast at Carnegie Diner and overall it was a solid experience. We ordered the eggs Benedict and an omelet platte. Both were prepared well. The food was good, but nothing especially memorable; think solid diner food done right rather than something to rave about. The coffee was decent, although it would've been nice to have refills included. The service was okay. Our waitress was friendly and pleasant, but not very attentive. Overall, a good spot for a casual breakfast if you're looking for dependable diner style food.

We had an amazing time here! My service pup was part of the photo for review reasons but we were very pleased at how welcomed he was. The place is very big and well staffed. Everyone was helpful and got our food out at a good time. I expected the wait to be longer because of how many people were there but everything was great. I've always walked passed here and never thought to try it. But please try it if you're around! Great atmosphere, food, vibes. Great pricing.

We got a reservation on Resy for six people, and we were able to make it for that same day. I highly do recommend making reservations because we were seat right away, and we saw other people who had only walked in still waiting. I got the Triple Decker grilled chicken and this is more than enough for two people. It was pretty good, but I do have to say that it was very difficult to eat simply because of how big the sandwich was. The chicken was nicely seasoned, and it coming with avocado was great. The fries were OK, pretty standard diner fries. It is definitely on the pricier side, but again, I do highly recommend you split a plate because they serve you pretty well. It's also located in one of the main touristic areas, so know that it may be crowded, but the ambience is still nice.

We ended up here on Monday night after roaming around Times Square. We were quickly seated and greeted by our waiter. We ordered a traditional diner meal. We got burgers and fries. The food waa plentiful. There was some amazing dessert options but I was too full to indulge. I wanted to go wash my hands and use the restroom here. When I started to get up, my husband immediately yelled. "Dont do it!" He knows if the bathroom is not up to par I usually would not eat at the restaurant. Since, I was in NYC and our choices were limited. We stayed lol

Service was good and quick. It was not crowded at all. Fish and chips were pretty good. Ambiance is chill. Very big restaurant with a large dining space. Very comfy place with reasonable prices for food and alcohol for a late night in the city. I like that it's open late! I only visited because there weren't that many options open late and this was close by. Pretty solid place for late night bites.

Best thing I had when I was in manhattan. A friends son was playing at Carnegie hall so we stopped in for brunch prior & enjoyed an amazing meal. Very VERY helpful, accommodating & kind staff from the moment you walk in. They are organized! We were seated within a few minutes and the place is nice, clean a lot to take in. We all had very different orders & drinks however it was all good! My pasta was absolute perfection I've never had a better carbonara & even better I was able to have it again for dinner! I still think about it. I also had a strawberry Moscow mule that was so refreshing & perfectly balanced. Really nice Ukrainian waiter - I hate that I'm bad with names but what a nice guy!! You gotta stop in. Great place!

Forever love coming here before the theatre! Quick and easy. My only complaint was the hashbrowns tasted slightly burnt. But this omelet is my forever fave!

This place is great! The menu truly offers everything! And the best part is breakfast is served all day! I came here the day before that dreaded 33 hr blizzard that ruined my trip loll! The place was packed and the bar was available so I sat there! I ordered egg whites fried hard! They made them perfect! Pancakes and hash browns plus coffee! The pancakes were massive and really good! This place also sources and makes their own 100% maple syrup. Service is good enough and they definitely have their regulars that they cater too. But the food was so good and well worth the high price! This place is a chain but they serve a good product and are well worth a visit when in town!

My partner and I stopped at Carnegie Diner & Cafe while exploring Manhattan and Central Park. This spot is only a couple blocks away from Central Park so it's in a very good location & super walkable to a lot of the touristy areas. Given that information - it also means this place gets extremely busy. We went on a Saturday around 1pm and every single table was occupied. There was a line of people waiting for tables. Giving credit where it's due - the wait staff is extremely efficient at turning over tables. We were probably waiting no more than 20-25 minutes. Once seated their goal is to get you in and out as quick as possible. Service is fast, servers are attentive, food comes out quickly. We chose to share the Times Square burger, drawn by the idea of a burger and a chicken sandwich in the same bun. It was good but it wasn't great. I think this combination isn't more common for a reason. While the flavors work together, neither really adds anything to the other; so you're left wondering why you opted for the extra calories. The fries were good. Tables are very close to each other. We had another couple immediately next to us. This spot is good a for a quick bite while exploring the area, but I wouldn't go out of your way to eat here.

A busy restaurant in a busy area. Carnegie Diner & Cafe has multiple locations and it all Centers around diner food. They do bottomless mimosas and all of their coffee is with Lavazza machines. The pace is quick, packed and efficient. A great spot for a quick bite if you're touring the area or just want to have a good time with friends. Taste: 3.5/5 Ambiance: 3.5/5 Service: 4/5 Value for money: 5/5 We had: 1) Reuben sandwich - this was plentiful but just okay. The meat would pale in comparison with Katz but it is decent 2) Parm Truffle oil fries - this was standard but great, can't go wrong if you are craving fries 3) Classic Benedict - not bad as well! 4) Bottomless mimosas - great value and taste is on point 5) Coffee - good!

We stopped in for breakfast right after getting off the train at Penn Station. We sat at the bar and Augie took care of us. He and the other girls behind the counter were excellent! You can tell they have fun at work and really interact with customers at the bar. My husband had steak and eggs while I had the avocado toast. Both were delicious but I felt the avocado toast was pretty overpriced considering it was just under the price of steak and eggs. My husband had an espresso Martini which he said was made perfectly and I had a beer. I would go back.

For drinks, we ordered the Smoke Show and the King Tusk. The Smoke Show was beautifully balanced. The Grey Goose vodka and Dolin Dry gave it that classic martini backbone, but the fino sherry and brine added depth. The smoked olive oil and blue cheese olive brought just enough savory drama without overpowering the glass. It was complex but not fussy. The King Tusk leaned more aromatic and layered. The vermouths gave it richness, while the Buddha's Hand and osmanthus flower added subtle citrus and floral notes that lingered in a really elegant way. We walked in without a reservation around 6:20 p.m., and they were able to accommodate us at a shared table until 7:15. The menu surprised me a bit. Since I associated the address with Eleven Madison Park, I wasn't expecting to see items like wings stuffed with sausage, which were done in partnership with Jungsik. We ordered those along with the mushroom burger and asked them to cut the burger in half for us. The cocktail menu was creative and a little intimidating, with unconventional ingredients like cream cheese and green curry. I went with a fruity Hendrick's-based drink, and my friend ordered the spicy green curry martini. Both were good. Mine didn't taste very strong, but it also wasn't overly sweet because there was enough bitterness to balance it out. The green curry martini was more adventurous but still worked. Service was mixed. There was a woman standing near us, so we tried ordering food with her, but she seemed hesitant to come over. Maybe she wasn't a server or was newer. For drinks, she brought over someone more seasoned, who quickly helped guide us based on our preferred taste profiles. Her suggestions were very good. The mushroom burger was the highlight for me. It was a little salty, but the crispy mushroom and soft bun were a great combination. I honestly wished I had more than half. The wings were okay. They were crispy on the outside and juicy inside, but coated in a Dorito-like powder that made them very messy. Overall, it was a good experience, and I'd come back, especially for the mushroom burger.

Top recommendation for apps: the fried tuna nigiri bites. The duck ball things were really good too, and the truffle fries.
