There was a Carnegie Deli on 8th Avenue by our hotel with gluten-free options my wife could enjoy before we set off for the day. Regardless of what you're looking for, the portion sizes are substantial, so you don't need to order multiple items and can do well choosing one -- so long as you don't get overwhelmed by the selection. For me, I wanted breakfast, and that is what I had (I was close to ordering pastrami, but I digress). The Peanut Butter & Bacon Pancakes were incredibly filling and delicious. A solid choice if you know you're going to be walking about with carbs to burn, and drinking to be had. My wife had a chicken Caesar sandwich with gluten-free bread that she enjoyed immensely. The checkout process is fast without needing to go to the front counter, with the mobile transaction devices held by the servers. You can't go wrong with the Carnegie Deli if you're seeking large portions, mobile payments, and gluten-free options.

If you want a nice place to eat and has a variety of music playing in the background then check this restaurant out. Decent service. The prohibition is a smooth drink and has been one of my favorite cocktails ever, careful though as they are like long islands where they creep on you. The spaghetti carbonara was very creamy and rich and the bacon and mushrooms were pretty good.

If you know me, you know I love a good diner. Carnegie on 8th Ave was ok. The interior was bright and colorful and the wait staff was friendly. Upon ordering, the food was on the table within ten minutes. Ok, let's get into it. First up was the Smashed Double Stack with caramelized onions and chipotle sauce. This burger was juicy and had a nice char on it. This also came with fries and a salad. I would have preferred more fries, but now I know for next time. 5/5 Next was the Bacon Toast. This is French Toast with chopped smoke bacon and walnuts topped with a sweet mascarpone and caramel drizzle. This is also served with a small bowl of fruit. That was a nice touch because it is not mentioned on the mention as a part of the breakfast. As much as I tried to love it, even though the flavors blended nicely, I was not pleased with how tough the bread was to cut. I like French Toast to have a crispy surface and texture, but once you cut into it, it should be moist. This was not that. 3/5 Lastly, was a vegetarian omelette served with a small salad. In my mind, you can never go wrong with an omelette. 5/5 The one thing I will try next are the mozzarella sticks. I was eyeing the kid across from me who had them. They had a cheese pull out of this world. Stay tuned for those pics. I suggest making reservations because it can get pretty busy at this Times Square location. If you are near by, stop in for a bite to each. There is something for everyone. Til we eat again....

This place has everything you want in a restaurant. The location is great, the service was phenomenal, and the food was delicious. Warning: everything looks good on the menu. Good luck deciding. The only negative thing is that they only give you a 1 oz container of maple syrup. It is impossible to eat all of that French Toast on so little syrup. Each additional container is $3.

We had breakfast at Carnegie Diner and overall it was a solid experience. We ordered the eggs Benedict and an omelet platte. Both were prepared well. The food was good, but nothing especially memorable; think solid diner food done right rather than something to rave about. The coffee was decent, although it would've been nice to have refills included. The service was okay. Our waitress was friendly and pleasant, but not very attentive. Overall, a good spot for a casual breakfast if you're looking for dependable diner style food.

We got a reservation on Resy for six people, and we were able to make it for that same day. I highly do recommend making reservations because we were seat right away, and we saw other people who had only walked in still waiting. I got the Triple Decker grilled chicken and this is more than enough for two people. It was pretty good, but I do have to say that it was very difficult to eat simply because of how big the sandwich was. The chicken was nicely seasoned, and it coming with avocado was great. The fries were OK, pretty standard diner fries. It is definitely on the pricier side, but again, I do highly recommend you split a plate because they serve you pretty well. It's also located in one of the main touristic areas, so know that it may be crowded, but the ambience is still nice.

This classic diner in the Times Square area of Manhattan in NYC serves American classics for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They operate eight locations with four in the Manhattan area. Open 7am to 1am everyday except holidays. We were there for breakfast and I had the Waffle $15.95, side of pecans $1.50, two eggs $7.50, hash browns $5.95 and a cup of coffee $4.95. Everything was delicious. The service was friendly and efficient.

We ended up here on Monday night after roaming around Times Square. We were quickly seated and greeted by our waiter. We ordered a traditional diner meal. We got burgers and fries. The food waa plentiful. There was some amazing dessert options but I was too full to indulge. I wanted to go wash my hands and use the restroom here. When I started to get up, my husband immediately yelled. "Dont do it!" He knows if the bathroom is not up to par I usually would not eat at the restaurant. Since, I was in NYC and our choices were limited. We stayed lol

Service was good and quick. It was not crowded at all. Fish and chips were pretty good. Ambiance is chill. Very big restaurant with a large dining space. Very comfy place with reasonable prices for food and alcohol for a late night in the city. I like that it's open late! I only visited because there weren't that many options open late and this was close by. Pretty solid place for late night bites.

Best thing I had when I was in manhattan. A friends son was playing at Carnegie hall so we stopped in for brunch prior & enjoyed an amazing meal. Very VERY helpful, accommodating & kind staff from the moment you walk in. They are organized! We were seated within a few minutes and the place is nice, clean a lot to take in. We all had very different orders & drinks however it was all good! My pasta was absolute perfection I've never had a better carbonara & even better I was able to have it again for dinner! I still think about it. I also had a strawberry Moscow mule that was so refreshing & perfectly balanced. Really nice Ukrainian waiter - I hate that I'm bad with names but what a nice guy!! You gotta stop in. Great place!

    Paprika is NOT a garnish

Unhappy but I do want to say the staff was friendly. With the name like Carnegie you would assume that classic deli vibe but the location in times square has loud middle eastern music playing. I ordered the eggs Benedict. Cold English muffin with a tiny piece of ham, eggs cooked well but topped with a lot of paprika. Paprika is NOT a garnish, it leaves a bitter taste. The hash brown potatoes are cold and not seasoned. Also, please don't give me a salad with my eggs. Just here for work so if I come back to New York I'll be skipping this place.

    Steak and eggs. Fantastic.
    Traci

We came here twice for breakfast during our weeklong stay in New York. I had the steak and eggs which were outstanding. Both the brisket and the eggs were cooked to my exact specifications. It comes with potatoes, toast and a green salad. My picky husband ordered an omelet both times and was very happy. One night we stopped in late for some decaf coffee and dessert. The coffee was excellent, but they were out of apple pie, which I wanted. Understandable as it was late. I'm sorry that I took a photo of my plate only after it was half-eaten, but trust me, the whole thing was great. The service is efficient and friendly. If you're a small party, you might get seated next to strangers, but it's all good. Looking very forward to returning on our next trip to NYC.

We had an amazing time here! My service pup was part of the photo for review reasons but we were very pleased at how welcomed he was. The place is very big and well staffed. Everyone was helpful and got our food out at a good time. I expected the wait to be longer because of how many people were there but everything was great. I've always walked passed here and never thought to try it. But please try it if you're around! Great atmosphere, food, vibes. Great pricing.

It was dark when we entered the coffee shop but an ajar door gave way to the bar. The decor is a homage to the works of Nikola Tesla, which can be seen in the subtle electric theme throughout the space and the naming of the cocktails. The space isn't too large - the bar and stools take up most of the space but they also have some booths/tables. The place looks great. The cocktail menu is very creative - I got one of their seasonal mixes that was actually two drinks in one. The main cocktail was meant to be sipped first and they provided a small glass of beer to be sipped after. The name escapes me but it was very good. We walked in without a reservation around 6:20 p.m., and they were able to accommodate us at a shared table until 7:15. The menu surprised me a bit. Since I associated the address with Eleven Madison Park, I wasn't expecting to see items like wings stuffed with sausage, which were done in partnership with Jungsik. We ordered those along with the mushroom burger and asked them to cut the burger in half for us. The cocktail menu was creative and a little intimidating, with unconventional ingredients like cream cheese and green curry. I went with a fruity Hendrick's-based drink, and my friend ordered the spicy green curry martini. Both were good. Mine didn't taste very strong, but it also wasn't overly sweet because there was enough bitterness to balance it out. The green curry martini was more adventurous but still worked. Service was mixed.
