Useless pathetic storage. The place is not temperature controlled. They are only specialized in raising the rates every 6 months. And the rates are raised without informing you. Please take your things and store them elsewhere or you will be ripped off. I am shutting down my storage as it is not worth it. Terrible if you ask me when rates are raised without being informed. Daylight robbery by the pathetic management. I'm sure that there are better cheaper places in the city. read more

I rented a 10' U-Haul truck from Space Station a few days ago for a local move. The office was small but clean, and the attendant was very helpful and personable. He appeared very knowledgeable and gave a thorough breakdown of all the aspects of the rental agreement. Navigating the entry and exit of the facility was quite easy in the rented truck. In regards to the truck, it was nearly new and in excellent condition. The truck drove well, had smooth shifts and great stopping. BEWARE!!!!! It took 45 minutes for the employee to check me out. He did not even know how to run the credit card correctly. When I returned the truck, I was called back to tell me it would be an additional $60 charge because the needle did not quite touch the 1/2 tank mark. After returning to Space Station and taking the truck to put more gas in it, the salesman said it was hard to tell if the tank was full because it was not on his "LEVEL SPOT" of the parking lot for checking. There are too many other reputable dealers in the Cary area.....stay away from these guys and you will have a much better experience. read more

We rented a climate controlled 5x5 unit for 7 months. Nice storage and more affordable than others. My contents were protected with climate control. No evidence of pests. Easy access. Office got me assigned and access to unit immediately. Move out and ending my rental was easy. I would recommend a climate controlled unit from them. I have no experience with regular storage so I cannot comment on that. read more

Not a pleasant storage experience. The pricing is not really clear to you until the very last minute, even if you can get a price quote ahead of time... Somehow it seems to change depending on 100 different factors. It's not that they are scamming you... they seem honest enough, it's just that they make it really really hard to understand. What's worse, is that it takes a loooong time to process. I thought I'd be in and out in an hour, and ended up wasting half the day dealing with it. I ended up switching to a different storage company, and was much more satisfied. read more

When I went to pick up my U-haul reservation, I was told that I must take the insurance since that is how it was specified in the reservation (but it wasn't). I went along, inspected the truck, and noticed that the fuel was below 1/4 tank (closer to 1/8), but I was told that had to bring it at 1/4 or better. I said that wasn't fair, to which he replied, after raising his voice at me, that he is cancelling my reservation. Thank goodness I got his cancellation in writing, because I found out a few days later that he charged me a $50 cancellation fee through U-haul (I was able to get this reversed, but it took time and a phone call). After leaving, I had to scramble to find another rental at the last minute on a Friday evening. If you feel this is the only place to rent a U-haul around, then get ready to be pushed around and tolerate some attitude. Otherwise, I'd recommend taking your business some place that will appreciate you. read more

I am currently renting a unit at this place and can say that once my storage needs are done, I will never return to this place. I have been absolutely disappointed with the level of customer Service that I have received during my experience. I have found that the Manager is non-responsive to emails and phone calls. I would recommend that you verify exactly what is being charged on your credit card before signing any lease. After looking around the property, I did notice several spots along the perimeter chain link fence where it had been cut so some could break in. That was a little un-settling. I do not think that they actually walk the property and check for cleanliness or gaps in their security. The alleys between the units are little tight. If you have anything larger than a full-size pickup truck, be careful are you will not be able to easily turnaround. All -in all if I had to choose again, I would have had paid the extra 5 or 10 dollars more a month and gone up the road to one of the storage facilities. read more
