Everything is "can do" including very last minute packing help. Two huge trucks and 6 guys over 3 days. Michelle who runs the office is so pleasant to deal with and John the owner and both Scotts so engaging, fun, and respectful of women. The superstar (well, they all are) is James who ran the move seamlessly, as usual. At the end, I would gladly have all of them over for dinner. The crew was just superb. Only thing is that Woodstock doesn't have a branch and this one in Kingston, NY was our best bet. From the initial White Plains rental process and unpacking our items we brought with us to Woodstock, NY and then driving the truck post-Christmas day to Kingston, everything was seamless. While I drove hubs' SUV and he drove the truck here, all we forgot was to fill up the gas tank before turning it in- and lucky for us, there was a gas station across the street. Since hubs did the paperwork, I parked the truck just to speed up the in and out process and out we went. The only odd thing though, he received a phone call on the 27th to find out if we "returned the truck".¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Of course we did- on the 26th!!! Oversight or not, our unusual rental journey worked out fine as well as the price.

I don't remember the size locker, but it was the next one up from the smallest, and it was perfect for all of her stuff. The sign up process was easy, everyone was friendly and helpful, and the space was clean and secure. The price was reasonable. The gates to the complex are locked after hours for security, and you simply punch in the code that they gave you to get in and back out. . It's not an easy code for everybody to figure out, which is good. I just put it on my phone. Check out was easy. The employee was walking by, and I asked him what we had to do to check out. He said, you're good. Just leave the locker open and I will get it done. Shortly after we got a confirmation email that we were checked out. If we needed to, we would store here again. Thank you.

The most recent stay lasted about nine months because she did a semester abroad. During that period, the rate rose dramatically. While I expected the rate to rise from the introductory offer, the increase from about $65 a month to $104 seemed excessive. Still there wasn't a lot I could do and I paid it. Then when we unloaded the unit over the weekend there was rat excrement all over her stuff. Luckily most of it was boxed and sealed but it ruined a mattress topper and was just plain disgusting. I called today complain and was told I had no recourse because I did not elect to have insurance. Personally, I don't think you should need to have insurance to protect against rodent poop. That seems like basic maintenance of the unit. I never write these reviews but wanted to let others know about our experience so they could make an informed decision.
