The inside of the location is relaxed and fun. The service was great, but I didn't really understand the iPad menus. It seems pretty silly especially if you can't order on them, but regardless the server was sweet and quick. The drinks were tasty and the servers recommendation of the birria pizza was great! There was enough food for 2 days lol. I would highly recommend!

Ditmars Restaurant Week deal. Definitely well worth it!!!

First of all, this place is BEAUTIFUL inside. Super clean, well-decorated, and nice atmosphere. Full, gorgeous bar too. Large portions for great prices. I went with my friend for the Ditmars Restaurant Week lunch special ($25) and we sat inside. The back outdoor area looks super cute, but it was raining. I LOVED the Elote appetizer- really tasty and sweet, how I prefer it. My friend enjoyed her fresh guac. We both had the Chicken Enchiladas as our main dish, which came with rice and beans. Beautiful presentation and we both agreed it was SO GOOD. We both had the churros for dessert- 3 pretty large sticks and both Nutella and strawberry sauce on the side. Wow. You could tell the churros were just made. They were hot and perfectly crisp. I also had a horchata (of course) and it was 10/10 in flavor. Will definitely be back! This place would be really good for large groups, birthday, or a date. I hope they get more service because they deserve it.

I happen to be in New York and wanted some Latin cuisine this place caught my eye, and so I decided to stop by. Let's just say chefs kiss! The menu has a great variety of dishes. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful. The food was made to order and so tasty! The restaurant has a really nice Latin fusion type of atmosphere with good music playing in the background. I definitely recommend to stop here if you happen to be in Astoria.

Came for tacos, didn't realize it was Taco Tuesday and was in love with the deals! Most tacos were $3 and some $4. Standard price is $16+ for taco plates that come with 3 tacos. Guac was $7 Tacos: Steak was delish! Lot of flavor Baja was good! Personally just prefer a slightly crispy fry Chicharron had a nice slice of meat and very tasty Shrimp taco was very flavorful Birria taco was pretty good! They gave a nice chunk of meat. Overall the tacos might seem smaller compared to similar places. I didn't mind and was full from 3 tacos. I thought portion was great Staff were really friendly and sweet!! Everyone so kind and smiling! They also seemed to enjoy working with one another. Ambiance is cute! The back room is bright and airy

The space has great vibes. The mojito was on point. Very fresh. We had the chicken mole enchiladas and the carne asada. Both were delicious. Capped dinner with the churros. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back.

Delicious food and great service! The brunch is amazing! And has an affordable all you can drink component. Highly recommend!

Spanglish defines itself as a modern Mexican restaurant offering alcohol and margaritas. When it opened up last year, there was a lot of controversy given its image as a small chain. Many Astorians did not like the idea of another chain moving into Astoria. Since its arrival, there have been a few incidents to the ire of the local community board regarding its attempt to create valet parking, which was not apparently approved by the city. So in May, we wanted to see what all the fuss was about regarding its new location on Ditmars Boulevard in Astoria. Their menu items include: Appetizers Guacamole Empanadas De Pollo Elote Al Grill Ceviche Mixto Mexican Wings  Tacos Birria Tacos Al Pastor Tacos Steak Tacos Chicken Tacos Carnitas Tacos Shrimp Tacos  Main Courses NY Tampiquena Spanglish Birria Fajitas (chicken, steak, shrimp, or mixed) Molcajete Mixto  Burgers Mexican Style Burger Plain Burger Bacon Cheese Burger  Desserts Flan Churros Nutella Pizza  Bar Menu The bar menu includes various drinks such as Margaritas (frozen and regular), Mojitos, and Sangria pitchers.  We tried their birria pizza and steak tacos. Both choices were good, and neither of us felt disappointed. Mind you, a birria pizza was a novelty, which it certainly was, as Mexican pizza is not a traditional staple, and it is more like an American novelty! The restaurant was large, with basic but not very clean tables or seating. The hostess was prompt, and our order came out of the oven hot and tasty. Would we go back? Possibly, but not at this time.

The food was amazing! I really liked the tacos and it's hard for me really love tacos but I did here! I heard lots of good things about this spot so I was glad to give it a try. The ambiance is beautiful, there's so many seats and very spacious, i think they do events in the back. The hamburger was really my favorite and for $20 I think it was a great price for portion. The skirt steak was also really good, get it medium rare

Awesome drinks bloody Mary and mimosa

This place was great- awesome atmosphere and also the food was really yummy and we had a wonderful time- I loved it and can't wait to be back. Service was very quick and very helpful and kind--

Could be a nice place. Spanglish is the name but the staff hardly speak English. Food has a nice presentation but just okay for a Latin Mexican establishment. I've had better. Get ready to pay 20% gratuity for shitty service and attitudes especially when you're a different nationality other than Spanish. The looks I got as I eaten at this establishment.

The place is pretty large despite it looking somewhat narrow outside but there's a lot of seating inside as well as some seating outside in the case the place gets crowded, fortunately I didn't have to worry about that. Credit to the service, two waitresses went above and beyond their duty to made sure I had a satisfactory time at their Restaurant and I will always give credit where it's due to the wait staff doing a solid job. Even though I'm giving this place a 5 star rating, there were two small grievances. I did have to wait for some time for my food to get to my plate, like an almost 15 minute wait, but for what it's worth, the food was solid. The other one, which was a small annoyance was that the empanadas I ordered along with the Pollo A La Brasa were forgotten and if I hadn't brought that to the waitresses attention, I would've went without my appetizers. They did make it up by giving me a complimentary margarita. I do appreciate the gesture, but I'm not a strong drinker, I'm a lightweight and after one sip of that, it was powerful enough to almost knock me out. I tried to endure it but I only finished half of that before giving up. Despite that, just the show of them caring for the customer is enough for me to know that they value their patrons here. That's more than enough for me. I like the vibe of the place, it has a Latin fusion feel but majority of their food is affordable. I'd make a 2nd visit here in due time.

The sauce was just how I like it, not too sweet and just right. The steak was tender and I devoured it right up. I also enjoyed the green sauce that they put on top of fries. Their happy hour menu is top tier. I love every single one of their frozen drinks. The service is a hit or miss. The busser was so quick to take away our dishes even when we were still working on it. He even took my godsister's margarita without her noticing, even though there was some left. I'd understand if they needed the table back and wanted us to wrap up but the dining room was pretty empty. Cleaning up aggressively while we're clearly still eating just makes an unpleasant experience.
