They also have a temporary shed for the summer, for additional outdoor seating. For my meal, I had a pancake burrito, and it was better than I could have expected. The pancake was so fluffy and tasty, with a hint of crisp on the outside and a nice chewy texture overall. The savory components of the burrito worked surprisingly well with the pancake exterior, making for a medley of sweet, salty, and umami that went really well together in every bite. My friend and I went to Moms's Kitchen in Astoria and everything was good. We had: Starters: cheesesteak eggrolls, Entrees: the Mom burger and the short rib grilled cheese. Drinks: dad-mosa, red sangria, mango margarita and a passionfruit margarita. They cooked the bacon well done(crispy) the way it's suppose to be not that attempt to have it crispy( ifykyk). Awful awful experience. I live next door so I keep trying cause their food is good. Which is why they have some stars. But for the second time I was ignored and forgotten about outside. Came in for afternoon brunch on the weekend, the wait for a table was just about 40 mins- as expected since this is a very popular brunch spot in the area. Met up with fellow Yelpers Lonnie and Nancy during this day for some outdoor dining. The menu looks cool with a retro diner vibe. Ordered the Chocolate chip pancakes with whipped cream and berries and a Short-rib cheese sandwich. The wait for our orders were fairly long as well. Alas, food arrived and we dive right into our plates. The Short-rib sandwich tasted good with a side of grilled baby potatoes. The pancakes were decent as well with a good amount of fresh berries to accompany the whipped cream. Yes, staff is friendly, knowledgable of the menu, all of that good stuff, they were great especially with my son, but the food was top tier breakfast. They menu had plenty of odd but interesting and what seemed to be good offerings, especially when it comes to shakes and drinks. They have both indoor and outdoor seating areas. They have a very interesting cocktails and mocktails to start your brunch right. Their portions were huge, so we decided not to get their drinks. So, we ordered chicken and waffles and pancake burrito. Chicken was very juicy and flavorful. Chicken, waffle and bacon was a great combo. Had to get one of their iconic shakes, of course! The Rainbow Bright was a stunner and made me feel like a little kid again. One shake can definitely be shared between two people. Drinks; I got a mimosa and man did i underestimate the power of that mimosa, it got watery pretty quickly because of the amount of ice in there but still very strong. Most of the items on the menu appeared to be a large portion and heavy carb so we kept it simple and shared the cheese steak egg roll. Not what you'd expect, cheese steak traditionally in my mind means some sort of thinly slice meat and cheese and onion or peppers. Not sure if they had to modify how the meat came since it would be fried like egg roll style but it felt more like a meat sausage with cheese inside. Overall the flavor of it 7/10. The sauce they served with it completely clashed or overpowered the flavor. We just finished the dish without the sauce. Wife got this large Mimosa. I think it was called momosa. She never mentioned that she loved it " Usually she does or does a little wiggle when she enjoys something. We pooped in because we wanted to go to the bar next door and it was packed so we were still able to sit at the bar here and watch the game. The bartender was nice and the drinks were good. I wasn't necessarily a fan of the food (I ordered the tomato soup and it tasted like canned tomato soup not fresh and the bread was super dry but we were able to watch the game so I guess no complaints there. Such a nice spot! I've read about the Manhattan location so I was happy to know there was an other location just in Astoria. I went for brunch on Sunday afternoon, and I was pleased. They sat us down at the tables of their sister bar - we were outside so it was fine for them. We were provided with both menus. We also had a Mac and cheese which was great. The short rib grilled cheese was massive, but the cheese wasn't really felt at all. House burger was very good. The drink was sugary and could feel the alcohol!! My sister got the bedrock pancakes and while they looked way too sweet for me she LOVED them. We also got the Nutella Ella Ella Aye milkshake and it looked so good and tasted even better. Quaint spot on 31st ave and 33rd street serving breakfast starting at 9am. Surprisingly small space indoors, but in good weather they have a ton of outdoor seating on the street and on the sidewalk. Very much a diner vibe with the Jetsons on TV and the condiments and served out of metal lunch boxes. Service was on point. We waited a little bit for our food, but the restaurant was 2/3 full at 10 am on a Friday. We ordered chicken and waffles and avocado toast. The chicken was perfectly breaded and crispy. I would 100% order this again. The avocado toast was also good, but not the best ever. For these two items our final bill was over $50 (with nothing to drink except water). Sunday Funday! Early brunches are starting to be my vibe. Came to Mom's on a Sunday around 11am and it was packed. Only 1 table was available between the outdoor and indoor areas. We sat inside, scanned the menu and ordered our libations. I was torn between the mimosa and the hot girl summer. The mimosa comes in a huge 21oz goblet and the hot girl summer is served in a flamingo floatie! I went with the Hot Girl Summer. This is for the girlies who enjoy spicy cocktails.... If not don't pass Go! The cocktail was spicy and strong. For my meal I had the steak and eggs. Steak cooked medium, Eggs scrambled hard with Gouda cheese.
