There was 24/7 coffee/tea available in the lobby. the space to walk the dog was really nice as there were two locations on either side of the buildings. Additionally enjoyed the set up of the room and the amenities such as the body wash and the hand soap. There is some room for improvement at this location in regards to breakfast items. It was very continental and really didn't do the trick however we were able to enjoy bagels, toast, hard boiled egg and they did have a few varieties of fresh fruit. In particular, I wasn't really a fan of the pancake machine and the traditional waffle iron would be much more hardy and suitable. Overall, no major problems with our room however, the TV system is unique and sometimes it works, and sometimes it didn't often to look at Pluto versus even accessing the live channels as their entertainment system is kind of finicky. Additionally, the lotion dispenser in our room did not work, and I really wanted to try the lotion as I thought the fragrance for the body wash and hand Soap was very pleasant. Lastly, the workers at this hotel are just not very friendly. They're not rude. They're just not hospitable and that was evident from the front desk to the breakfast attendance to the maintenance person. They just were not very friendly or engaging at overall. If in this area again, I would stay at this hotel if the price point was right. overall it was a good value and close to St. Joseph while having the charm of Stevensville.

Housekeeping came in and when she saw it, she said, "oops" I said that's more than an "oops" she then proceeded to start putting a sheet on top of the mattress cover. I said, I'd like the mattress cover changed as well and she walked away then the front desk called and asked for me to leave the room while they changed things. I wasn't about to leave the room because I wanted to make sure everything was changed properly before I lay down to sleep at night. Then when she was done, she threw the pillows back on and I said can you please change the pillowcases and by this point, the head of housekeeping had come down. And then she came in and started changing the bed angrily and fast and when she left, she said "I have a blessed day" that was so passive aggressive, I know what that means. No one ever once apologized even when she was in the room she didn't say I'm sorry that your room was not stripped and cleaned. I think the icing on the cake was when I had a washcloth that none of the other towels smelled weird this one smelled like semen. Unacceptable! I do have pictures of everything too.

Service, as people have said, was absolutely fantastic and incredibly accommodating, so I would recommend it IF you know what to expect going in, which is what you'd imagine from the price but with great service and a well-loved family business atmosphere.

Pets are allowed.There is an area where children can play. The owner,Linda, was very welcoming. The motel is centrally located to many activities. It is on Red Arrow Highway. This was, without question, the best Bed & Breakfast experience we've ever had. The property itself is situated right on Lake Michigan on Lake Shore Drive in St. Joseph, and it's been a B&B for several decades. The rooms are nicely furnished, and the view from the deck facing the lake is priceless. However, what makes South Cliff Inn truly spectacular are the owners. You will not find better hosts than Daniel and Allison. Their attention to detail and their personal touch are almost from a different era, and they are singularly focused on providing a memorable experience for every guest. When staying here, it doesn't take long before you realize that nearly every other guest (all week) is a repeat customer. Several of the other guests we met have been coming here for 20+ years, and that speaks volumes. We're already planning our next visit.
