Staff was friendly and helpful. Best thing is the location, very walkable to downtown. The lake is a haul for older folks, down a ramp down a hillside and back up, but not the hotels doing. Very disappointed in the continental breakfast and restaurant hours. The only source of protein at breakfast were dry hard boiled eggs. For the money they could at least put of scrambled eggs and sausage out of some form. The restaurant is not open for breakfast or lunch. I would have gladly paid for a breakfast of my choice without leaving the hotel, but not an option. Not open Monday or Tuesday for dinner...... I think it would have been better for us to drive in and park and pay for parking when we wanted to access the lake or eat downtown. read more

Such a charming and quaint inn. This reminded us of a boutique hotel in London with the short hallways on each floor. The rooms were spacious, stylish, and immaculate. It was clear that they had been remodeled recently since all the crown molding was intact in our room. The view of the city was serene as we overlooked the historical houses and apartments of St. Joe. The staff member who checked us in, Andre was friendly and helpful. The last 3 times we've visited St Joe, we have stayed in a family suite at Boulevard Inn. The staff is friendly and helpful, room is spacious and clean, and the restaurant food is delicious! The room was dated, the elevator smelled of body odor, the pull out bed was the least comfortable I've ever slept on. The staff was discourteous and when I tried to address an issue on the phone I was put on hold. When I spoke to the manager in charge she was short with me and extremely rude. read more

This was a fantastic experience. This is an all suite hotel. There are two rooms with a door you can close between them. We had a beautiful view of Lake Michigan and the Christmas lights along the bluff from the very large windows in both rooms. There was a full size refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and sink in the kitchenette area. The living area had a full sofa, easy chair, and TV. The suite and entire hotel was very clean. The bath products were high quality and there were plenty of towels. The hotel restaurant has exceptional food and gives a 10% discount to hotel guests. Boulevard inn is within walking distance of many shops, restaurants and bars. All staff were exceptionally friendly and professional. There is free parking on site. I highly recommend Boulevard Inn and will stay there again. read more

We love this locally owned boutique hotel on the hilltop of St. Joe. The staff has been friendly, helpful and attentive. We loved having a suite which was perfect for working while my hubby napped in the bedroom. Having two rooms makes a hotel stay so comfortable. Our room looked over the park and parts of Lake Michigan peaked through in the background providing a perfect backdrop for morning coffee in the room with the Keurig. The bar staff was great while we enjoyed a local Michigan brew. Besides the views, the location can't be beat. We walked 2-4 miles everyday on the bluff and circuits near Silver Beach State Park. Proximity to restaurants is ideal. Best hotel in St. Joe in my opinion. :) read more

Recently visited for a 3 night stay. This was our third stay at this hotel over the past 3 years. Our room had the scent of smoke so we were upgraded to a new room. Can't say enough about Mary who took very good care of us during our stay. We always enjoy our stay at this hotel and highly recommend dining at the Bistro. Great for families with small children as Curious Kids museum is next door. The beach, carrousel, and fountain are all in walking distance. Will be back! read more

Boulevard Inn was fantastic for our wedding room blocks, and for the bridal suite. I reserved a Deluxe Family Suite for my bridal party to get ready in. We fit myself (bride), 6 bridesmaids, 2 mothers, 2 sister-in-laws, and three hair / makeup artists and all were able to comfortably get ready. It was so fun! We booked Hanna Wagner Designs out of Grand Rapids for hair and makeup if you're wondering; it was so convenient to have them in one room. Also, even though there's only one bathroom, there was a full mirror and double sinks in the master bedroom, so that really helped when getting ready. My husband had a Park View Suite for the groomsmen to eat lunch and congregate in and he said it was a great size for him, 5 groomsmen, 2 brothers, and 2 fathers to meet in. His room also has a fantastic view of the lake. My aunts also brought a great spread for a bridal brunch from Cafe Tosi and there was plenty of room. It was great to have the full sized refrigerator. The event staff was also fantastic to work with. I'd recommend booking the Boulevard Inn for your events. read more

My girlfriend and I booked a room here for a girls night, and really enjoyed our stay. We were allowed early check-in, which was awesome, and then Lacy, the manager, upgraded our room to a beautiful double queen bed suite with a view of Lake Michigan. The room was very clean and spacious, and the hotel is within walking distance of downtown, which was perfect! We didn't use it, but the room had a refrigerator and microwave. A hot complimentary breakfast was included, and was tasty! They had French toast, biscuits and gravy, eggs, sausage, oatmeal, potatoes, hash, cereal, fruit, coffee, etc. We did have a small problem, but it was handled so well by management! Great location in town and next to the beach. Lovely beach and walking the town (really loke the ice cream shop). Came here in 2018 for the town and hotel restaurant. We returned to stay in the hotel and eat at the hotel restaurant in the post covid opening June 2020. We did a very very expensive "couples package". Hotel had a nice "All Michigan" theme. Yet there were many glitches on their recent re-opening--but midwestern hospitality went a long way to amend for it. Highly recommend the town and the hotel restaurant. Would not do the hotel package again, unless it is much lower rate. read more

New Years Eve and a perfect place to stay. D had a gig at a local brewery for NYE so we decided to stay the night even though we are only 35 minutes from St. Joe. Good thing we did, the weather was absolutely horrible. I really like the Boulevard Inn. It was the first time I have stayed there. The foyer was decorated beautiful for the holidays. Being off-season, it was not crowded at all. And being NYE, it was very quiet. We were greeted by the nicest front desk clerk. She filled us in about the hotel and that our room rate included 2 breakfast buffets the next morning. Our room was on the 4th floor. It was so spacious - a suite with a living room, TV, microwave, fridge, desk & coffee maker - and clean. Nice bathroom. And the bedroom had a king bed & TV. Our room faced the parking lot, which was fine since we were only there to sleep. The Boulevard Inn is convenient to everything in downtown St. Joe. Within a block or less you are on State St., the major street with all the cute stores and restaurants. The Boulevard Inn does have restaurant, The Bistro. We had our complimentary buffet breakfast there and it was good. Nothing fancy - scrambled eggs, sausages, potatoes, waffle station, assorted cereals, fruit and juice & coffee - but it satisfied us just fine. I would love to come back and stay at the Boulevard Inn during the summer and sit out on their front porch for the great views of Lake Michigan. It's a perfect hotel for just relaxing and enjoying St. Joe. read more

Loved our stay here last weekend. Went out to check out the venue our daughter picked for her wedding in August. This hotel was about 3 blocks away so it was very convenient. The biggest plus was the price. Very affordable due to the off season. We also got a early check in. Very clean room. Plenty of space. Bedroom with a king bed was the bomb. The room has a additional sink outside the bathroom which is also very convenient. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful. Front desk staff let us take a look at the suites that the bridal party will be using and these rooms are also very nice. We did not eat here so the in house restaurant will have to wait till August. We had drinks in the bar area Saturday night and the place was hopping. Servers were efficient and very polite. I will agree with a couple of other reviewers comments about the parking. The parking lot is behind the hotel and has about a 12 to 16 spaces. It is also very tight parking. On the plus side there are a lot of parking spaces right next to the hotel that are free and have all day parking. The weather was bitter so we did not get to walk around as much as we wanted. Having a clean and well appointed room made staying inside more bearable. All in all a good stay. This is a go to place in my book. read more

Mediocre hotel... it is very dated and could definitely use a deep cleaning. It is in a great location, which is the only thing keeping this place is business... it's right across the street from the beach and walking distance to downtown. My biggest issue... No designated hotel parking? WTF? I'm paying $300/night and had to park two blocks away due to 4th of July beach goers... ridiculous. The goof at the desk was not empathetic at all. He just said it's "first come, first serve." The parking situation should be over-communicated on thier website and in any confirmation emails. Not the surprise I was hoping for after a 3-hour drive. What needs to be improved: -Parking (no designated hotel parking!) -Front desk staff - lackluster service -Deep clean this place - vents, nooks/crannies -Put ice machines on every floor -Change the carpet -Beds are not comfy and linen isn't fluffy -Towels are old/scratchy -No water in room and no option to purchase -Housekeepers do bare minimum The breakfast was decent... your typical buffet with eggs, hashbrowns, some cereal options, fruit, etc. The staff at the bistro is great. We stayed at the Boulevard Inn over a holiday weekend and because of that, we payed a premium rate. Having said that- we wanted a no-hassle stay that allowed us to relax, and the Boulevard Inn delivered. I wanted to note that there is a small parking lot just for hotel guests in addition to the 24 hour public lot north of the hotel. There should be no problem finding parking for hotel guests. Sometimes parking is sparse near sundown when tourists come to see the sunset over Lake Michigan, but other times there is plenty of parking. Our room was part of the recent hotel remodeling and everything was clean, crisp and up-to-date. The hotel was generally clean, modern and stylishly decorated. The staff was friendly and although we had no special needs, I felt that they could be taken care of without a problem if needed. We did not have much of a view with our 'city view room' so I feel that on our next stay we will request a lake view room on an upper level floor if available. All of the rooms are advertised as 'suites' and this means that you have a separate 'living room' area in addition to the bedroom and bathroom. Please note that another reviewer stated that the sink was exposed- this is an EXTRA sink for convenience near the mini-bar and coffee service area. The bathroom has a nice sink for private use. Just steps from the hotel main entrance is the lake bluff and silver beach. There is also a bicycle rental nearby and downtown St. Joseph with shops, dining and night life is in easy walking distance. Be sure to check out the views at sunset from the bluff or one of the nearby sidewalk cafes on Lake Blvd. We wanted to have a cocktail in the hotel Bistro which should have a great view, but it was closed for the holiday. The complementary breakfast was what I would describe as continental plus- including a limited selection of hot items such as sausage, scrambled eggs, potatoes and oatmeal. Sunday the dining area for breakfast was very busy with families and patience on our part was needed. We were surprised that the Monday breakfast was less crowded but quite a few unruly children that made it an unpleasant experience. We were glad to get out of the dining area as soon as we could. Our check out was smooth- the bill was accurate and all I had to do was turn in the keys and hit the road. We would definitely consider staying at the Boulevard Inn on our next trip to St. Joseph. read more

LOVE this hotel! We love visiting downtown St. Joe and this hotel is the perfect location to everything. I called to see if we could check in a little early so our toddler could take his nap. They said that will be no problem and we could check in when we arrived. This will not always be an option but they were willing to help us since we were traveling with a toddler. They have plenty of parking behind the hotel. Friendly and welcoming staff at the front desk. It's an older hotel but very clean. We always get the two bedroom because we travel with a little one. The two bedroom has a living room area and a small kitchenette. The breakfast is included and is served in The Bistro. The Bistro is also open for lunch and dinner. This hotel is easy walking distance to the beach, shops, and a variety of restaurants. Overall- this will always be the hotel we stay at when we're in or near St. Joe! read more

So many positives, but some very harsh negatives as well, to this place! It's all about location. The first reservations I made had to be post-poned by two weeks, because the weather was too crappy to travel. When I called to reschedule (just pushing back two weeks) I was told I would get a "FREE" upgrade, but I had to pay $20 more for my room. Uhhh. Whatever. It was a business trip, but that was weird. We checked in and the staff was super friendly. Cookies were sitting up ready for us to take (they were hard as a rock, but nice touch). Upon entering the room, it was a balmy 80 degrees. We turned the heat way down and got ready to leave for dinner. The room was spacious, it was actually two rooms connected (like a suite) with a TV, couch and mini-kitchen in one, bathroom, bedroom and TV in the other. The biggest problem though, was the extras that we did NOT want in our room. We went to take the comforter off the bed and there was something red smeared on the top of the comforter - right where my head would be. I couldn't tell for sure if it was blood or not, but it was a large stain regardless. I called to let the front desk know and they just said they'd let the manager know. I was surprised that was all they offered. THEN we found a used Floss pick on the ground! So disgusting. Fortunately, those were the only surprises. I travel often: for business and for pleasure and I have never encountered a blood-like substance or a used toiletry in my room. Absolutely revolting. I didn't call about the Floss pick since I didn't get anywhere with the blood. Anywho, we left for dinner, and when we came back, the room was still sweltering. My guess is it was a set temperature in the hotel itself, not controlled in the room. We had to sleep with the air conditioning on!!!!!!! ZERO degrees outside, and we slept with the A/C on. Well, at least we were comfortable. Never mind the loud engine start up every time the A/C ran, or the train that woke us up several times. I was there for a work trip in the middle of a very cold week, so it definitely wasn't too busy. The location is key. I'd imagine that in the summer, the bars/restaurants are open later and are much busier. There was a Winter Walk set up right outside the hotel which was beautiful, but it was definitely too cold to walk around. I'm sure this is a great summer spot! But really, location is the best thing Boulevard Inn has going for it. I'd stay again for location only, but seriously hope for no more disgusting surprises. read more

While this hotel is located centrally in St. Joseph and has nice views of the lake, it is very outdated and in need of a face lift throughout the hotel. At the same time, it is quite affordable (at least in the winter) and has a great rewards program. The rooms: All rooms are suites with a refrigerator, two rooms, a sleeper sofa and are very spacious. Unfortunately, the beds are not very comfortable (or at least in the few rooms that I've stayed in while at the hotel) and the lighting in the bathrooms suffers from fluorescent "ugly light" syndrome (in other words, when you go to do your make-up in the morning, the light is so harsh that you feel unpretty). The fitness center: Yes, they have a fitness center, but I was extremely disappointed by the false advertising on the website. I quote from the website: "... visit our state-of-the-art Fitness Center. Equipped with all the latest equipment...". There are two treadmills that, while they work, likely date to pre-1985 (no joke) so I have no idea how they can claim to have "all the latest equipment" since the internet did not exist when those machines were made. The one stationary bike and rowing machine are from a similar era. I really wish I had a picture to share, but didn't have a camera. Buffet breakfast: A basic continental breakfast is included in your stay with cereals, concentrate OJ, coffee, oatmeal, granola and yogurt. Reward program members also receive the option of a hot breakfast. I agree that I would have liked more of a fruit selection than the cantaloupe, but it did the job. This is a hotel with a lot of classy potential, but unfortunately there has been little investment to keep the hotel up to date. I wish the hotel would renovate one floor at a time to improve at least the beds, hair dryers, and lighting in addition to the fitness center. I'd be willing to pay more if it were upgraded. read more

This is our 2nd night here and what can I say but WOW. Pure class! The room is spacious, clean, and elegant. The towels are SOOOO soft. And plenty of them. All amenities that you could need are in your room and they look new. The bed is so comfortable I didnt want to get up this morning. You also get a hot breakfast from 6:30 to 9:30. Everything is fresh and tasty. The service is friendly and professional. The best part about this hotel is the location. Just walking distance from the beach. We a a wonderful two night stay on Krasl Art Fair weekend. We had a park view room, which gave us a beautiful view of the sunset. It is true that the hotel is a little dated. But our room, which turned out to be a two room suite, was nicely updated and clean. Another reviewer complained about train noise but this was not a problem for us. We ate dinner at the hotel restaurant both nights and were very happy with the food quality and service. This hotel is a short walk to the cute Main Street. The walk down the bluffs to the beach is a little further, but lots of families were staying here and walking to the beach. read more

The negative reviews on here are far from the truth.... Our service was incredible starting with Natalie at the front desk. She made sure our table was ready and we were accommodated all weekend. Natalie - thank you for being so great! All of the staff was incredibly kind and welcoming and always made sure to say hi when they saw us in the hotel. Aside from the great service, the food at the restaurant was 11/10 and the cocktails were fantastic. The bartenders are awesome! Shout out to Greg & Rob for a great time and even better service! I guess there's not too many choices in St Joseph, it's right in downtown but it's definitely not clean. Looks like it's been ages since they ever cleaned the carpet in rooms. I dint feel like walking bare foot. Bathroom was clean but sheets didn't feel they were fresh. I don't mind paying more than 400/ night but at least keep the place up to date. Location: This hotel is centrally located in front of the beach with only a short walk down. Within walking distance are really cute boutiques, shops, and restaurants. They have free all day parking right next to the hotel. Food: They have a nice bistro which is overlooking the lake, and I was able to enjoy the view. I can only comment on their breakfast buffet (included with the room booking). It was nothing to write home about, but it was not bad at all. They seem to have a small outdoor eating area, which I did not get to use as it's cold. Staff: The staff was professional and friendly. They helped my friend and I locate good shops and restaurants to try nearby and were very accommodating. Rooms: The room was clean and SUPER spacious. My room actually had two flat screen TV's and a "living room" area. So you could actually close the door to the "bedroom" area and still enjoy a movie in the "living room" area while others slept. The beds were super comfortable as well. Downsides: The hotel is a little bit outdated, so you wont find really modern and cool decor. However, the decor isn't bad, it's just more "classic." I took off a star because I couldn't find the temperature control in the room and it got really hot at night and I was unable to sleep comfortably due to this issue. I think the hotel itself controls the room temperature, or maybe I just didn't locate the switch. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and look forward to coming back again, this time hopefully in the summer months to enjoy the beach. read more

Our stay at Boulevard Inn and Suites was quite enjoyable. We stayed on a Thursday night in March, so not peak season. We were able to easily get a parking spot in the city lot right next to the hotel. Check in was smooth; we were given our hotel keys and two tickets for breakfast in the Bistro the next morning. You can also get 10% off your bill (food only) any other time by showing your room key, but we already had dinner plans. The rooms are suites, so there was a rather large (for a hotel) sitting room when we first entered. We had a King "City View" room, which meant we looked out over the city rather than the lake. You can choose when you book your room. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and we slept pretty well. Breakfast was good the next morning. It's served buffet style in the Bistro. There were eggs, sausage, hash browns, waffles, pastries, fruit, yogurt and granola. There were juice and coffee to drink. It was nice to be able to sit and enjoy our breakfast and look out over the lake from the dining room. read more

My parents came up to visit and they stayed here. Their experience was significantly less than ideal- they had to move rooms twice for maintenance issues, and the hotel was actively undergoing renovations in the rooms adjacent to their final room so it was very loud and dusty. The general appearance of the rooms is dated and less than clean. I would recommend finding a little house to rent- the cost is probably about the same as the rooms are so expensive here. read more

Location! If you are staying in St. Joseph, you really cannot beat the Boulevard Inn. It is the nicest hotel in the area and the staff is great. We had our wedding block here, and they really were on top of things. We booked a few suites and had the bridal party get ready there (highly recommend)! The Bistro has good food and they recently updated the rooms. The only negative feedback I have is the cost (expected in a resort town) and the breakfast. They used to have a better breakfast, and they've definitely cut back. Also, parking is often tricky during peak season, so once you have a spot, plan on staying put! read more

I stayed in this hotel back in 1998. I stayed here again recently and NOTHING has changed or been updated. I was immediately disgusted the minute I walked through the doors. The two chairs by the doors are stained and disheveled. Not only were the pillows unfluffed, but there were gaping holes in them. C'mon, how hard is it to get a new decorative throw pillow? This is the first impression - gross. The rooms are in need of a massive update. The walls, the bedding, the TV, the colors, the carpet, the hair dryer are all terribly out of date. The duvet had a gaping hole in it as well. The shower curtain had black mold growing on it. The lighting in the bathroom is probably the most unflattering set up I have ever experienced. On top of it all, I really wanted a Coke, but the vending machine only had RC Cola! What decade are we in? I understand people visiting St. Joe need a place to stay, but for the same price, you can get a great hotel in Chicago on Hotwire or something. Just reminiscing about my recent stay here makes me want to gouge my eyes out. The location is great. I stayed here over the summer with no expectations as I'd never been to this town. The positives are the location - right next to all the tourist stuff you are probably there to do. Upon arrival the front staff was extremely rude to us - laughing (literally) at our request to get into a room by 3 PM to catch a wedding shuttle by 4:15 PM. They told us the room wouldn't be ready until 4:00. Oddly, we had to explain why this was a problem for two people that had just been in a car for two hours. After some aggressive explanation on our parts they confirmed the room could be entered by 3:45 - cool. They gave me a bell cart to take up to my room myself (really, at $300 bucks for the 'cheap' room you'd think they could offer some help.) I had to return to the front desk because one of the keys didn't work and to get the wedding gift bag they failed to hand me - even though we confirmed we were there for the wedding. I can't explain enough how utterly unprofessional the front desk staff was to us - I was dumbfounded. Act like you care about our experience - even just a little - we aren't staying in your basement, lady. The room was suite-like, slightly smelly. Nowhere to get late night food beyond a snack machine in the basement. The parking is a joke - it's public parking for the park so depending on when you arrive you might be circling the lot to find a place - at the hotel you are paying for. I don't know what is available in this town - honestly, I don't see myself coming back here again for anything. If I do, I will avoid this place like the plague. I've had better service and cleaner rooms at the Hampton Inn I stayed at a week prior for half the price. read more

My family of four, 2 adults and 2 children, stayed at this hotel this past weekend. We stayed here because the reviews were good and the location was appealing. Other than the location and restaurant staff, this hotel was awful..especially considering the price was almost 500$ a night for a one bedroom suite. You expect more from a hotel when your paying more for a hotel. Except this is what we received from our 2 night stay: -Dirty room- dust on everything and some items were so dirty they stuck to the counters. -Very little parking- the hotel has about 15-20 spots for cars (for a 7 floor hotel) are theses spots are not monitored -Everything in the hotel seemed to have a sign saying, "under construction," Including the fitness center. They did offer a fitness center.......at a different hotel.......about 20 minutes away......but then you had to drive to it and try to find another parking spot on your return (not easily done as stated above). -More repairs - our floor didn't have a vending machine with water but what it did have was a pile of broken sheet rock from the wall and some brown, dirty towels covering something up on the floor (see the picture I posted). We did find out that we could get complementary water from the front desk due to the repair but only after we saw a sign over the dirty, smelly towels. The front desk never notified us on arrival...or at any time during our stay....which I thought was odd. -The front desk also didn't tell us about all their repairs in progress when we called them to see if they had an available room...... -Expired vending machine items....which was not found until it was purchased.....and then thrown away due to the expiration date......See my other picture. Oh and there were only about 10 other items in the vending machine. -Stains on all the carpets in the elevators, our hallway and our couch in the room. -Pull out couch in our room- the mattress and springs were so terrible that my son and I kept falling into the middle of the bed....causing a less than sleep full night. I understand that a hotel is aging but if I were told about all these issues and ongoing repairs, I definitely wouldn't have stayed here. I also think that certain areas could be easily updated (like a new couch in the room). The only plus was the friendly wait staff...they were lovely, which is the only reason this hotel received more than 1 star. read more

staff is excellent; attentive and polite. also the hotel is conveniently located close to downtown and Silver Beach. However, the rooms are in desperate need of updating. the pullout sofa had practically no cushion left, was very low due to springs being gone. the refrigerator in our 2 bedroom unit made so much noise that it made conversation difficult. read more

Both the location and the service at the Boulevard Inn were top notch. We stayed with a group for a wedding so we did get the negotiated group rate so I can't speak to the cost that other people have mentioned but really the service outweighs any of the cons. The front desk people were helpful and made requested notes on our check out, they made sure a dvd player was in my sister's room for her kiddos prior to arrival, and apparently offered the bride and groom assistance with pre-arrival odds and ends. Also, when I forgot something in my room at check out, the hotel called me to let me know so they could send it back to me. That is worth one star alone. The rooms aren't the Four Seasons and the elevator is seriously slow, but I'd stay here again for the service and the location. Plus there was a waffle maker involved in the continental breakfast. Ok, so we have been coming to St. Joseph for relaxing weekends for over 10 years, traveling from Chicago. Over the years we have stayed at the Boulevard Inn more often than not, enjoying this all suite hotel and its close proximity to down town attractions and overlooking the lake. The good.... Great views (if you get a lake side room), very good Bistro for dining, comfortable bed, lots of room. The bad.... Very weak air conditioning system.....almost uncomfortable to stay there during real hot weather. Also, while they have always been an expensive option, they have now become extremely over priced. They are playing up the all suite, up scale place to stay thing a bit too much and and finally priced us out of this hotel for the first time in over 10 years. Also, if you don't get a lakeview room you get the "city lights" view which is an overly nice way to say parking lot view. It is a shame because overall this is a nice place and a fantastic location. I just do not find it worth the price any longer. Our last trip we decided to stay at the Holiday Inn down the road on Lakeshore and found it to be a great alternative (see my review of that place). We may once again return from time to time, but only if we find a way to get a better price. read more

The night we checked in the lady at the front desk said our kids had access to a pool. So my wife called the front desk and another person answer and said that their was no pool for the kids to to use. So the next day I went down to the front desk and the lady that checked us in was their again and said we do have access to the pool and another lady next to her was shaking her head no again she was very rude. It was very aggravating when the staff disagrees with each other to the guests. My kids were very disappointed. And the staff didn't seem to care . I won't be back!!! read more

While the location is great, and the hotel was clean, I thought this hotel was overpriced. It is a bit outdated as well from what I would expect from a hotel that charges so much. When asked the simplest of questions, the front desk staff seemed confused and unsure of how to respond. All I wanted was some extra hangers. While they have a nice free breakfast in their Bistro, the Bistro itself is overpriced, in my opinion. There are many nice restaurants in the area for much cheaper. read more

This is probably the best hotel in St Joseph. Our room was clean, nice and spacious. The hotel is within walking distance of the park/ beach and downtown. We had a beautiful view of the park and sunset over Lake Michigan. The staff was attentive and friendly. The breakfast buffet at the bistro wasn't that great... not much to choose from. We skipped breakfast our second morning and found a little diner in town. read more

Great one night stay here. Location couldn't be beat; walking distance to the beach, as well as great restaurants and shops. Breakfast at the hotel is included with your room rate, and it really was delicious. We will only stay here on our visits to Saint Joseph's going forward! read more
