Dental cleaning made easy and painless! Came here for a cleaning on a Tuesday afternoon, and right away, I could tell that it would be a much nicer experience than going into a typical dental office. The atmosphere is very calming and spa-like. The furniture is cute and the decor is fresh and modern. Dr. Ed is a gem and did a great job with my teeth cleaning - I left feeling sparkling clean and my teeth looked great. He also made sure to make sure that I was comfortable in the chair and made sure that I had an enjoyable time. He let me take breaks when needed and the entire process was so easy. Metered street parking available or you could also park in the neighborhood (be mindful of the signs!). This is by far the most enjoyable experience I've had for a dental cleaning! Dr. Ed is extremely kind and hospitable! He gave me a lot of great advice for my teeth and any questions I had. There was no pain in the whole process! The office itself is so chic and has wooden details that make it more modern. The cleanings went by so fast which I was very impressed! I will definitely recommend sparkl for your next teeth cleaning! I don't take insurance however, they do have a low cost compared to most dentistry. There's plenty of parking on the street and after your appointment you can go by the beach as it is very close. read more

When I walked into Sparkl, I could already tell it was going to be a relaxing experience. This is my first time meeting Dr. Ed and he was super cool and a pleasure to speak to. He continuously checked in to see if I was comfortable the whole time. Both the interior and the service itself felt so relaxing I almost fell asleep. Sparkl seemed promising. Great location, $125 for teeth cleaning. So I made an appointment a week in advance. When I checked in, it was only the owner/dentist and he said I have it all to myself, it'll be "VIP treatment". That didn't last long, maybe a few seconds before his adopted puppy that he brought to work and was in a cage behind the desk started barking and it was loud to the point where I wasn't able to speak to the dentist w/o interruption or even to form a coherent thought. I couldn't get past the first couple of lines of the sign in form, it was bad, not to mention incredibly unprofessional to bring a pet to work without someone to at least keep the dog company and distracted. This isn't doggy day care, as cute as the dog was...it was unacceptable. If you are unable to find a dogsitter, then at least warn the client prior to them showing up and offer to reschedule. Dentist offered to reschedule but I just left and of course would not come back. I'll go back to my regular dental hygienist despite the price hike to $165. Hopefully your experience will be different. read more
