The cleaning was thorough but surprisingly quick, and he gave me thoughtful recommendations for other specialists I should see, which I really appreciated. I appreciate his professionalism, knowledge and straightforward approach to my dental care. His hygienists are great, thorough and fun to talk to. We've bonded over my love of Cocofloss, lol. I have Delta Dental, so I pay the bill in full using my HSA account and I'm reimbursed according to my insurance afterward. Overall, Dr Chen and his staff are friendly and professional and I'm happy to have found such a great office close to my home.

Every other review is true (most unprofessional place), starting from the horrible 20 min cleaning, my X-rays were taken upside down and the hygienist couldn't even floss...I left with bloody gums. I was never going to come back regardless bc of the horrible job they did cleaning your teeth but the audacity to charge that much was obviously so fishy. All of the above was suggested, and voluntary. The only caveat is that my insurance does not cover ceramic crowns so I had to pay a little extra for that. Her support staff (receptionist Kaitlyn, and her dental assistant Roxana) are very good. The vibe of the office is fun (they make jokes and generally enjoy each other's company). This dental office is sooo sketchy with their billing. CHECK YOUR BILLING CODES because they are…read moreliterally making stuff up. I went in for a basic cleaning WITH insurance coverage that had a $5 copay and they charged me $75 for what they called "therapeutic parenteral drugs", which of course was a dental code that was "not covered by insurance". I got a basic cleaning folks, there was no therapeutic drugs administered. Then I had to get a cavity filled and they quoted $300 was my "co-pay" with insurance. So I call the insurance to figure out why a basic filling would be $300 as that is the going CASH PRICE for a filling. It turns out, they didn't even submit it to insurance. AGAIN they said, this code isn't covered by insurance. So I dig deeper because it just didn't make sense. Instead of charging me for a basic composite restoration, the billing department billed it as an INLAY even though it would have been a basic cavity filling. So sketchy. So then I go into the office because no one is answering my emails and the billing staff acts so ignorant like they have no clue what I'm talking about. They are so tricky and careful to never put the word "INLAY" in the email correspondence, and just labeling it a composite restoration. Here I am two weeks later, still trying to get information about what dental codes they used and all my emails go unanswered. It's so weird and sketchy. I ask the doctor point blank why it would be billed as an inlay if it's a basic filling and no inlay was made to be bonded to my tooth....and she said oh I'll have my billing department look into it (shocker, no one looked into it). Everyone in the office is acting so clueless like no one knows anything about dental codes. It's such strange behavior. Just be careful if you choose this dentist because they are doing some deceitful things and scamming a lot of people with their billing tricks. I have already reported them, I just don't want others to be scammed.
