Our expansion and airway treatment with Dr. Dolgov and his wonderful team has been life changing for both my son and myself! I found this treatment because my son was experiencing trouble breathing. He had an underdeveloped jaw and crowded teeth. We looked into mainstream orthodontics and were told his expansion and breathing might require surgery and an ENT! I'm so grateful to have found this non invasive approach with The Dentist Lounge, not only offering expansion to his palate, but Myofunctional Therapy to correct his muscular habits and weaknesses, a complete integrative process. Shortly after beginning to see the affects of the expansion my son experienced, and because I had decades of sleep issues which I learned could be related to airway health, I decided to explore expansion and airway treatment for myself. My consult and CBCT scan with Dr. Dolgov proved that I had an underdeveloped jaw (the size of 6 year old's jaw) and an extremely small airway (the width of a coffee stirrer, and apparently it should be the width of a Boba straw!). Dr. Dolgov then had me undergo a sleep test, which informed me that I had sleep apnea. Sometimes my oxygen saturation rate would drop to 80 during the sleep apnea episodes! My body was waking me up to stay alive. My whole life of struggling to sleep and feeling sensitive came down to a structural issue! I had struggled with insomnia since I was a teenager. I am now 56 years old. I have always been "sensitive" to stimulation, noises, too many people etc. I assumed because of my "sensitivity" that I was a light sleeper. To feel balanced mentally, emotionally and physically I would have to practice a lot of different modalities, exercise, yoga, and meditation in the middle of the night, as well as during the day after being in a situation that my "sensitive nature" would be affected by. At the 4-month mark of my expansion process I had to keep checking the mirror! It felt as if my nose had gotten bigger, but it was internally that my nose/airway had expanded... who knew this is how we are meant to breathe! It has made a world of difference! I'm halfway through the expansion and airway dentistry treatment now and it is amazing how I feel so balanced with more oxygen getting to my brain and regular deep REM sleep. Your organs need oxygen! I am a completely different person. Dr. Dolgov confirmed it was the lack of oxygen and lack of REM sleep, (which allows your brain to process your day) which led me to be such a sensitive person. I no longer have to constantly do all these practices to feel balanced and normal in my body. It has been life changing and medically necessary for my sleep issues, sleep apnea, oxygen saturation and overall wellbeing! I know two people that have gone the surgery route for the same procedure of palate expansion. Those people have also had to have orthodontics after getting their surgical expansion. The Dentist Lounge and Dr. Dolgov's procedure was not invasive and certainly more cost effective than going the surgery route! My teeth and mouth never hurt, it has been a gentle and gradual process. I have been one of Dr. Dolgov's best patient, wearing my retainers at least 20 hours a day, so I have experienced very rapid results. We love The Dentist Lounge! I recently completed the Nightlase treatment with Dr. Dolgov to address my snoring and wanted to share my experience because I 10/10 recommend and know how overwhelming it can be to decide on something like this. I've looked EVERYWHERE for a treatment that would help with my snoring and this was the one. Dr. Dolgov explained the process itself very clearly and while I was initially nervous about the procedure it was completely painless and very quick! I started noticing changes literally the day of. By my second treatment, I've basically stopped snoring completely. My recorded "snore score" on an app went from a 46/100 to a 6/100 after the first treatment, and I haven't snored several days into my second treatment. In the chair that day, as in my first appointment, mouth wide open, I felt zero pain or discomfort while my brain followied every move along with her appreciated explanation updates, including asking me if I wanted to see, then showed me what had been completed as part of the process of her choices. My inner being sighed. It wasn't about time; it was about getting it RIGHT. I trusted her. No matter the future of this touchy tooth situation, I recognized her choices were made on my behalf, not hers. Included in her practice are important details re: safeguarding one's specific, dental health. The entire vibe of the office was like visiting my childhood dentist who happened to be my father's best friend: I felt/knew, I was receiving the best care available. I'd say finding and choosing Dr.Larbi has been one of my wisest moves... 100%... Including a most kind and helpful staff. And let me praise her dental assistant for a moment. When you've got your mouth open for an hour during old filling removal, cleaning and replacing, that dental assistant's consciousness to movement and suction and water is crucial. It's intuitive, communicative and takes expert hand/eye coordination. I'd say, as someone who spent much time making jewelry, I am hyper-conscious of this. Dr. Larbi is extremely personable and the office is all new and outfitted with the newest technology. I left my initial visit pleased with the quality of care and attention although I later discovered my insurance had been billed for a deep cleaning rather than a regular cleaning. I was okay with this because I know I get a lot of build-up. I subsequently called with questions about Dr. Larbi's recommendation for a crown vs. a replacement filling and was asked to come in. I later learned this visit was billed as a consult against my insurance although I had not been advised of this in advance, and Dr. Larbi used the occasion not just to answer my questions about the tooth but to discuss an optional procedure for jaw expansion and a procedure I have already had (Invisalign). I appreciate the business is new and costly but they lost my trust that my interests come first with the upselling and failures to inform about charges. read more

I am so impressed by this dental practice. I had been once before and it wasn't a terrible experience but also wasn't the best. I decided to try again just because of the convenience the location is to my job and was surprised that there are new owners and the feel of the office is very different. The place looks more modern and I saw Dr. Larbi and she was wonderful. Very patient and explained everything very well. There's also a male dentist there but I didn't catch his name.
