Not only did I pay for the $50 for the Bucket package but my car is nowhere near clean. Externally there were white and black smudges (wax? were not there when I brought it in) that with my finger I was able to remove, and they missed spots entirely. With 5 people wiping down the outside, I would expect a more thorough job. The interior was worse! Not only did they NOT vacuum all of the dog hair, but there were parts of the floor near the base of the seats they didn't touch at all, and I had a small car kit in the truck they just vacuumed around. You can see in several places where they missed corners wiping, and they didn't touch the steering wheel at all, along with both visors still being dirty. AND I don't know what they used to wipe down, but it left an oily film on everything that I had to wipe down. They were not busy at all on a Tuesday at 2pm, but somehow I will still need to spend an additional 30-45 minutes cleaning what they missed and trying to get the smudges off the outside of the car. I do not know why they have such high ratings. read more

Amazing service and staff but I'm giving three stars because of how Awful the ownership/ management has handled its name brand change!! I have been a loyal customer here and staff are friendly and professional. Truly the best car wash service in town and decent gas prices with gallon discounts when I bet a car wash. Coupons usually available at Vons on the grocery receipt. Here's the issue: I googled "Encinitas Blvd chevron" in order to call and see if they were open, and the number associated with their google result was WRONG and apparently goes to some other gas station that said "no car wash open" when I called them. It was the WRONG place and apparently the new owner hasn't cared enough to call Google and change this info. HUGO is the car wash Mgr and Who is very professional and helpful. I spoke with him and he says it happens all day long. The gas station signs he says: CHEVRON and it says "Extra Mile". If it's name is "Sparkle and Shine" the new owner should spend a few bucks and put up a BIG sign that says that and also change its google listing. read more

I paid over $140 for a full detail at this place. What a huge waste of money. They slopped armor all on every surface on the interior. The windows looked like they used the armor all rags to wipe them. In the back of my crew cab truck I have 2 head rests against the back window. Instead of putting the seats down or pulling the headrests up to get the whole back window clean, they wiped around the head rests. Overall it was just a poorly done job and not at all worth the cost. I had to go back in and re-clean the windows, and wipe off the excess armor all. I will never return and I will not recommend this car wash to anyone I know. Very disappointing, especially considering the glowing reviews given on here by my friends and neighbors. read more

Sparkle and shine is the rockin'est car wash in town, they treat you like royalty! I had one of those days that everyone dreads... And sparkle and shine came to the rescue, or should I say 'Ramiro Garcia' when my 11-year-old spilled an entire cup of coffee in the front seat of my beautiful blue Tacoma, I wanted to cry Lucky for me, I pulled in to the car wash hesitant to trust them to fix the problem, but they were there insisting they could give me the right price as well as show me exactly how they were going to get the job done right. After waiting for about 10 minutes, they offered me a free sandwich and frozen yogurt, a nice place to sit in a Sunbeam and relaxing chair with a big screen TV! Can I say it just doesn't get any better than that! I let them spend some serious time on my truck, so I was going to be a while, but when I got it back an hour later I was surprised to see that it looked like a brand spanking new Toyota Tacoma just off the sales lot. All the scratches were gone and every little bump and scratch had been buffed out waxed, clayed and washed! The interior was sparkling! Not a single bit of dirt could be found, and trust me, it was muddy dirty from the recent rain! Not to mention my three kids, ugh! I won't ever go anywhere else! Love Encinitas Sparkle and Shine! In my humble opinion best car wash in Encinitas. They are efficient, thorough and always friendly. I'm in outside sales so I drive a lot and get my car washed almost every week. The basic wash is a killer value for $13.99 I pay much more than that at other places and get a pretty crummy wash. I'd recommend them for sure. If you have anything specific you want (I always want them to get rid of dog hair and sand) just ask, they take extra care of it. read more

Super nice people, but not the best wash & wax job. I got the Groupon deal they had, which was for their "Platinum Wash," which included a wash, wax, tire dressing, and minor in-car detail. I keep my car pretty neat & tidy but given the fact that I have had my car vacuumed out maybe once in the last 9 months, I figured their work would be pretty obvious once the job was done. I was wrong. There was still dog hair and beach sand in the back of my car, once they were done, and there were muddy water-spots beneath the back window. It's just weird, because they certainly didn't seem to rush the job at all, and really seemed to be taking their time, while cleaning it up, after it had run through the larger wash. Anyhoo, I was pretty disappointed in the end and don't know that I would go back here. read more

Having just paid $29 for a car wash, very disappointed to have to inspect and point out multiple areas with remaining spots (not water). Even pulled over in the parking lot to continue to wipe it down myself. They were not significantly busy, in fact there were 3 guys wiping down my car. I needed the car done a certain way so they customized my service to what I needed, knocked off 20 bucks and also allowed me to store my car contents (surfboard, bags, etc..) on their premises in a safe place while car was being detailed. They did a great job...although i did have to ask for a quick wipe of a few spots inside the driver's area that they forgot. They cheerfully did. They were cheerful, friendly, genuine, and efficient.
