Dropped off the VW, waited a few days for repairs, got it back and attempted to drive across Michigan. Fail. We towed into Grand Rapids, and later sold it for scrap. The new owner cleaned the fuel injectors and drained the tank, replaced fuel filter, and was driving like new. Took Heinz garage to Small Claims and won my money back, but lost the vehicle. I hope they learned something from all that drama years ago. I wouldn't go back regardless.

For $35 plus tip I received an excellent exterior wash and interior clean. They gentlemen at the beginning of the wash even opened the doors and carefully power washed the door wells. The people at the end did a great job drying everything and the man who did all the interior work did a great job getting the dog hair out of the carpet and the dog prints off the windows, seats, and dash. Fast forward, 1:15pm I called to check on my vehicle to be informed that they had JUST started on it. I immediately asked them to stop because it had already been 5 hours and it should have been completed. When I walked in, I retrieved my keys and walked out to my car to find my gas tank wide open. I went back in and asked for a manager to inform them that I would be filing a police report because I feel as though the tampered with my car. Once inside my vehicle to my surprise, it was WORSE than when I dropped it off. Apparently they "prepped my vehicle and sprayed the door jams and now there are water marks on my ceiling around EVERY door. When I spoke to the manager, Paul, he apologized and told me he would do absolutely NOTHING for me beside clean my ceiling THAT THEY DAMAGED...and I could bring my car back and continue to wait. After 5 hours I received nothing but a damaged vehicle and inconvenience. I will be filing a police report and a claim in court for someone to correct the issues that they have caused me. I told my friend who referred me to my them to never refer anything else to me! They charge the same price as the Chevy dealership and the Chevy dealership is more efficient. I ended up waiting one hour before it was my turn in the small lobby. Luckily, I brought reading material. The service of exterior and interior car wash took about 30 minutes for my sedan. It had been a very long time since I'd been here last but I was in desperate need of a deep clean…read moreon my car so I swung by when in the area, not sure what I'd find after such a long absence. I'm glad to report that the quality of the clean is still great and the folks are just as nice as before. The rogue glitter and pine needles from hauling christmas decorations, the stray sand from trips up north and a road trip to South Carolina, dog fur, sticky spilled coffee spots, etc etc, all gone. The tires were shined up, floor mats rinsed off, etc etc. The price has DEFINITELY gone up since I was here last, with a full service cleaning going for about $35 now. But for what is essentially a mini detailing and the quality of the cleaning I found the price doable. Especially since a lot of a high power self-serve vacuums can run more than a few bucks and this way I didn't have to do the labor and didn't need to scrounge up quarters. Speaking of scrounging up, tho, since I was here last the adjacent gas station has closed. Being someone who doesn't carry cash most of the time I always used the gas station as a spot to get cash back or hit the ATM so I could give the folks a tip. This time I had to run across the street to the other gas station to do it. So if you come by I highly recommend making sure you have some $$ beforehand if you're the generous type. The good news is that the Starbucks is still there, there's a dunkin next door, and a Auntie Anne's pretzel in the building now where the gas station used to be. They still have their "waiting room" but if you're peckish or thirsty there are plenty of places to grab something while you wait for your car to be cleaned!

I figured I'd have the luxury of a few guys spraying and attentively looking over my van. Boy was I wrong. I purchased the Silver package which included a tire shine and wheel wash and shine among other things. I generously tipped the crew after they towel dried and applied the tire shine but was really disappointed when I got home. Keep in mind it was a beautiful dry and sunny day so none of the dirt you see in the photos occurred on my drive from their lot to home. They earned the the second star only because I was greeted upon my arrival and the crew "seemed" professional otherwise it would have been a one star rating. 09/21/23 UPDATE: The management team from Magic Touch reached out to me in order to make things right. I returned to their other location that's a little closer since I live almost a half hour away from the original location. The manager was very attentive and passionate about making things right. The follow up and customer service was 100/100 so I definitely appreciated that. The van looked much better this time around. Many business get complacent or lazy when they're successful but the great ones rise to the occasion when things don't go right the first time and Magical Touch stepped up.
