I Love this laundry mat! It is the only Black owned laundry that I know of in Los Angeles. More importantly, it is very clean, the machines are always working. Reasonably priced, the machines are also modern technology, allowing you the option of paying with your phone or coin and not tacking on extra pennies, not requiring a card, or ATM. The washers, dryers, and coin dispensers are always operable and you NEVER smell nasty water or bad plumbing. There is also never a shortage of baskets. It's always a vibe here which makes my least favorite chore more pleasant. There is always good commercial free R&B and gospel popular and classic music playing. There is a variety of interesting Black history posted all around. Supplies and snack machines and even a filtered water machine. It is peaceful and I always feel safe. Cultural and nostalgic are an understatement, but certainly applies. read more

The owner Valerie is very unfriendly, rude and just all around unprofessional. Terry is also a owner as well if I am not mistaken. I have reached out to him several times about issues I have with one of his laundry attendant and his completely dismissed and disregarded my concerns. He even blocked my number and took the side of his attendant when she is completely wrong in her behavior and she has no respect or professionalism This is one of many reasons why I don't support black owned businesses because they are rude unprofessional have no customer service and or have extremely high prices. It'll get the job done. I come here to supplement the laundry service I use, so I'm usually washing just a few bulky items (rugs, bedding, etc). I think it's on the pricey side but maybe that's because I had laundry at home the last few years? Since I've been coming here, the price for the smallest washers went up to $3.00 for a ~29 minute wash (lightly soiled). Like most places they make up for it with cheap drying. 25¢ gets you 10 mins on the smaller dryers and they do work well. I've had 2 instances where I came back and one of my machines didn't start or it stopped -- not sure which but it's annoying. It's fairly clean. I've never used the bathroom but they do have one. They have some basic seating as well. Machines for cash to get quarters & there's an app that I haven't figured out that you can use to. Parking right out front. Gets crowded around mid-day and evenings. read more

Overall, service, staff and laundry experience are pretty great, not rowdy and very clean environment. The only negative for me was recently. One of their dryers had some remnants of something dark and rubbery which kinda ruined one of my white sheets. It wasn't too much damage but definitely noticeable. I told the attendant and asked if they offered any sort of compensation (and it could have been anything...even what I spent to dry it) but I was told the owner is not responsible if stuff like that happens. I get it (I guess) and signs supporting her response were posted, but that's my main reason for me giving 4 stars and not 5. Otherwise, it's a good place. read more

I have been a customer here for 1.5 years. Employees are great and helpful but the owners are NOT and need to fix their large capacity washing machines. They continually malfunction trapping your clothes in a cycle that either isn't washing, not running water (hot, cold, warm or non at all) or running onky water because it's stuck on the wash cycle. There is a phone number they never answer an have not set up a voicemail for so beware. Wash at your own risk! They also continually remove broken stickers from machines that haven't been repaired. read more

Service is HORRIBLE!!!! The owner Valerie is the most unpleasant, rude, uncaring business owner. You try to patronize BLACK owned businesses and you get screwed sooner or later! I put my money $20 in the change machine and got no change, no quarters nor my money back. She tells me that she can't see where I put my money in and I will have to wait until she review or check the machine to determine if I did put my money in the machine. I don't have LIE about putting my money in the change machine for change to wash my items and about $20 at that!!! Pro's: -Lots of machines -Huge dryers that work quickly -Not crowded in early morning (5a-7am) -Vending machines are in good working order (they sell snacks and drinks as well as powdered laundry soap, dryer sheets and laundry bags) -Air Conditioned Con's: -Broken machines not marked as such! -No customer service: before Corona there was always someone here cleaning up, assisting if a machine ate your quarters, now there's no such thing TIPS: -Check to be sure a machine is in working order BEFORE you load your clothes and soap: open the machine door and inspect the inside, check the display screen for an error message, check the soap drawer for cleanliness & make sure the coin return button works. -Go early on a weekday if you can! read more

I used to come to this wash house under different ownership very often. It changed hands right before the pandemic if I remember correctly. I've always felt safe and comfortable and tend to be loyal. I tried to come a few times a little later in the evening and the male attendant wouldn't allow me to wash. I don't if the hours were shortened or he would just be over it. He's not here today and they have new machines. It's very clean. I highly recommend. read more

The business establishment is always clean and you could not ask for a better staff. they are so helpful, they actually taught me how to use the laundry machines to save money and I still do laundry at sparkle laundry you are the best. Came here today, 2/9/2022, to do some laundry. I had to keep my daughter inside my car because a female worker (chunky Hispanic girl with high pony tail) was outside chain smoking cigarettes with the door open. Second hand smoke everywhere. This is illegal in California. You may NEVER smoke next to a business entrance. This worker also had multiple men come over and smoke with her outside. I saw her do NO work in the two hours that I was here. Just hanging out smoking outside. Homeless people walking in trying to sell random stuff out of a garbage bag. Completely unprofessional "establishment" if you can even call it that. NEVER AGAIN read more

The are the worst I put 4.25 in the machine and it's all on camera but the want me to sign in a book for a return on money for a later date so I have to pay again to wash my clothes I will never use there business again this is the second time this has happened read more

I've been coming here for years, but today will be the last time I spend any money in this place. Maintenance employees need customer service training badly. Whoever the guy is that cleans the lint compartments should never open up someone's dryer while their clothes are drying as it stops the dryer while the time is still counting down. When asked if I would be given money to recoup the time I lost, they assertively replied, "no!" I doubt anything will change, given how causally disrespectful he was to a paying customer but here's hoping. Based on recent reviews, it's a sad commentary on a neighborhood business that doesn't seem interested in improving customer relations and blasting gospel music means nothing if the actions of your employees are oppositional to the message in the music. read more

I love this laundromat. It is always clean, plenty of working dryers and washers . The music is great and the people are so nice and friendly. The vending machine sell all the laundry supplies you need ,and if you want a snack while you are doing your laundry they have vending machines for that also. If I could give this 0 stars I would. The owner is very rude and has no customer service skills. I washed 1 bathroom rug in a $2.75 machine and it did not spin the water out. She tried to insult my intelligence by thinking she can tell me how to wash the rug. I have washed this rug several times and I don't need a lesson on how to wash! You need a lesson on how to provide Customer Service as as you have no skills! She wanted me to pay again and I refused and she stated " I guess I can turn it on"and she only turned the machine on for 8 minutes so the rug was still soaking wet. She went to fill her vending machine up with snacks and never came back to check to see if I still needed help. Luckily I had a plastic bag and I was able to put the soaking wet rug in the bag. After my other clothes dried I left and took the rug to a laundromat near my house and had no issues. I came here only because I was in the neighborhood to run an errand. I will NEVER COME HERE AGAIN. read more

I went there to wash several loads I end up using the very large washers 1 / $6 1 for $5 and one for $4 when I got to the one for $4 after I added my money and started adding the soap I noticed that it was spinning but was not adding water I called the attendant over to telling that the machine was operating wrong he told me to wait to hear from the owner I'm assuming I waited 15 minutes later he came and said that he was going to restart it then he asked me did I pay the $4 of course I paid the $4 are it wouldn't even been spinning then he was leaving for the day and I have to call him back because it was still working the same he wanted me to wait a little longer so he can get in contact with the people again then he went on top of the washing machine and before he could start working on it I asked him can he just asked the owner can I move my clothes to a open machine and they give me my $4 and I can wash he told me no haven't I ever had anything break on me before and he which didn't make any sense to me if you already tried to fix it once now you want me to wait for you to go up under the machine and fix it come on now it was 12 other machines open and then after all of that the other maintenance man walked in had me move my clothes to another machine that's the only thing I asked in the first place but I have to go through a whole different thing and then you wonder why people act the way they act that was uncalled for it was not good customer service and he shouldn't talk to people like that if you can't handle the job don't do it and you shouldn't have to wait for them to fix the machine when there's other machines open I can see if the place was crowded but it was 12 other open machines I could have been moved my clothes to another machine read more
