Wow, Julie is just amazing! She made the appointment for me so easy and convenient, and when I got there I felt like I had known her for years. She made me feel so comfortable and relaxed! I can't wait to go again! I had several colors in my hair from a long time of weaving and her idea to just start fresh with covering the gray was spot on! The girls were amazing they took care of the 3 of us. Started with pedicures, nails and hair cuts and dye jobs. We traveled for Union Gap Wa. I just made our appointment and they took care of us. Ok, as a former hairdresser I know I can be picky, and I really don't try to make things more difficult because of it. I also just moved to the CDA area, so thought consulting with and researching was the best way to find my new stylist. However, after going to a DIFFERENT higher priced salon and getting the most uneven and choppy layered cut I have received since beauty school (layers looked like legos), I tried Sparkles. Not only did Julie squeeze me in last minute when I could not stand it any longer, she looked at it, knew how to fix today and gave me hope and her recommendations moving forward to make this a better cut, closer to what I had before moving out here, and like what I wanted overall. I have shape, blended layers, and she knew what my super thick and wavy hair was going to try to do. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. This just proves real talent isn't always in the Uber expensive and fancy salons. read more

I went there simply wanting an all over color. Which I got but I'm not impressed at all. The woman got dye all over me, including my hands (how does that happen?! It's on my arm?!) I mentioned I had dinner with my father tonight and she left dye all the way down to my eyebrows, on my nose, cheeks. She scrubbed my face to the point that it hurt and still didn't get it off. She also didn't style my hair. She straightened JUST THE TOP LAYER! I'm not impressed with my service at all. I should not have paid $65. I won't be going back EVER. read more

Over the years I've had MANY hairdressers and struggled having them do what I want. When I tell them to do my color "chunky" they still do their fine weave and I leave disappointed. Several weeks ago I was in town for a friend's wedding and wanted to get my hair done for the big event. I found Destiny at Glitter and it was one of the luckiest moments in my life! Destiny was awesome....listened to what I wanted, offered suggestions, kept things fun, and made my hair looked like a million bucks for a very affordable price. Beware, if you want professionalism this is not the place for you! I went to Katherine B. to get my nails done twice. My first experience she talked about her employee how she hated her and she should be fired, mind you this is my first time here. Then I went back and booked my wedding nails to be done with her and another co worker. She gave me a total cost for both nails and toes, she did not break it down any further. So the day before I get my nails done for my wedding she texts me the price for the other nail tech, to me I thought she was charging me more than we agreed upon so my response was of surprise, I mentioned "It would have been nice to have known that." Her text response back was so rude and disrespectful I couldn't believe it!! She tells me how rude and disrespectful I am because I asked about the price breakdown? She never broke it down to me before only a grand total so when she responded that the cost was no more than quoted she could have handled that differently, oh like a professional?? You are there to service me, answer your phone and communicate that with your clients, instead she reads over a text message and assumes I am rude?? I've been going to Sparkle's for approx. 2 years. Julie S. is fantastic. She listens to what you want your hair to look like and her cut, coloring, and highlights have garnered ALOT of compliments. I recommended my daughter go to her and she is thrilled with her cut and highlights! We both have long hair and Julie really respects 'keeping the length' but giving us a definite style. I've been to many high priced salons, both here in CDA and in California, but I haven't had my hair look this good for years. WORST place to get your nails done, i just had my nails dont 3 days ago and They are already lifting and falling off. Also "kelly" the person who did them new she was doing the worst job and didnt even compensate me she did everything out of order. They deserve this bad review.
