He and his team got right to work, mounted the TV and an additional sound bar. He started by asking how I want it situated, to which I said you're the pro... I'll just leave it up to you. Fortunately they didn't troll me and place it on the ceiling ... :) Turned out so nice, couldn't ask for a better mounting job with the cables nicely tucked away hidden in the wall. Love it. I had pre-purchased in-wall cord concealment kits and they told me to return those and did their own concealment, which looks better and required a much smaller hole to be cut. They cleaned up all the drywall dust and hooked up all the components to the TVs and made sure they were working. The cords were neatly tied and everything looks super clean and sharp. I have been a customer for 4 years at my current location. Today I had interactions that made me…read morevery frustrated with them. First off, I felt like I was in the police station scene from Home Alone getting transferred back and forth between departments because each thought that my issue should have been handled by the other. My other point of frustration comes from their new COVID-19 protocols which, according to the customer services team, restricts techs from coming out to my house to help me fix my problem. This was followed by saying that techs were only getting sent out for diagnosing issues (Not to fix any issues), upgrades and new installations. This to me sounds like unless I am adding a new revenue stream to Consolidated, fixing my internet problem is not worth the possible risk to the tech or myself. Every person I spoke with was cordial. I even spoke with a supervisor who offered me a free month's credit to my account for my troubles. Unfortunately, this does not fix my internet issue and the only way I can get someone out to my house is to switch providers. Time to start shopping.
