I had an absolutely awful experience with Sparkly Maids. I paid for there move out special which has a extensive checklist attached to it. First off, the cleaner had set my A/C to 55 and left it. 55 in the Texas summer! And mind you no one is currently living there, I had moved out. By the grace of god they did not break my A/C unit. Now onto the actual cleaning, they did not. My home was still dirty, the kitchen and bathrooms were not moped at all. They did not wipe down the walls. Only half the windows had been dusted or cleaned. Every single one of my ceiling fans was still dusty, and there were cobwebs still in the corners of the ceiling. The oven and oven hood still had grease on them. All of these are items on there checklist. To make matters worse they had charged me an additional 4 hours on top of the move out price. I called, and demanded either a reclean or a refund as there guarantee states they do. They said they would send someone out and they would be there between 2:30 and 3:30. At 4:00 no one had arrived. I called again and demanded a refund at this point and was told "We don't do that."... IT IS LITERALY STATED ON YOUR GUARANTEE! After arguing with them for hours the manager said to me "I can issue a refund for the additional 4 hours we charged you, but it will be coming out of my own paycheck." Yes they tried to guilt trip me after not doing the job I paid them for. Also Janeth if you are reading this and your boss did actually try to deduct that from your paycheck, go find a workers rights lawyer because that's illegal. To anyone thinking of hiring this service, DON'T! They are unprofessional, unqualified, rude and will at most break your A/C, and at least run up your electricity bill. read more

I was not home so my boyfriend did not realize that all my bottles were emptied. I feel so violated that someone would tamper with my things like that. Absolute disgusting company. Unfortunately, I received extremely bad customer service from the supervisor Kristine and also did not receive the services I booked. As a first time customer, I scheduled the Airbnb turnover service without understanding what "extras" I needed to include for changing the bedding and washing the towels. Instead of running the washer and dryer in the home, they went to a laundromat and charged me $300 to do the laundry without completing any other cleaning in the house. I had guests checking in within 3 hours and I had to scramble to find a cleaner before their arrival. After speaking to Kristine, who interrupted me and insulted me several times, I was told I would receive a refund. 17 days later I noticed my card HAD NOT been refunded. When I reached out for the 4th time, they told me they have reverted back to their policy and will not be refunding the charges. I booked their services online. The cost was high, but it was for a move-out derp cleaning. I've never used a maid service, so I didn't know what it should cost. When the maid arrived, I found that she spoke no English at all. I couldn't communicate with her enough for her to understand to not clean two rooms. She tried using an app, but that wasn't working well. Through it, she said that the house had to be unoccupied for her to clean it. Then, a man showed up that the app introduced as her friend. According to the person that answered the phone at Sparkly Maids, a maid is allowed to invite someone to help them. They don't work for the company. I told them, with gestures, to leave. The company agreed to charge a little under $60 because I said that she should be paid a reasonable amount for the hour she was here. All settled. I hired another crew. A little later, a guy called me from Sparkley Maids. He said I turned her away at the door, made assumptions about the man she invited, and he is charging me $500. He was hollering and wouldn't listen to me. The second maid service charged me less than half and sent 3 maids for up to 6 hours. I can communicate with them. Very scary company owner named Anatolia. If you ever complain watch out for him. They clean your home one to three times fine and then become inconsistent. The verbal abuse this Founder sent to me shocked me as a female. Be very very careful! After the last four times trying to communicate with their project managers was almost impossible. I have never submitted a Yelp review before for anything but I had to create an account and submit one because I don't want anyone else going through this level of stress by hiring this company. I am pretty relaxed on a normal basis but this is the most horrible experience I have ever had with any company. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE reach out to literally any other cleaning company. I saw negative reviews on yelp, Google and the Better Business Bureau but foolishly thought that maybe those people were being dramatic but it was all true. This should really be a no star review. I have posted just a few pictures of the overall mess. I booked an appointment for a partial cleaning for my parents prior to them moving out of their home and the rest of house was already cleaned. We still had about a 1/3 of the house to clean. I spoke to two of their staff members (Anthony and Jill). For 3 hours, they stated that two of their cleaning staff would clean the master bedroom/bathroom, the study, a separate full bathroom, a foyer/formal living room, informal living room, and the kitchen for $286.70. Anthony said that Jill was wrong and that it may take a little longer for everything but when I explained that it was a move-out clean, he said it should be fine. (We ended up reducing the number of rooms for them to clean, explaining that later) Once they arrived, the cleaning team claimed that they were only supposed to be there for 1.5 hours and I only paid for that much. Thankfully my parents were home and asked me. I called the company and asked them what was going on and they finally spoke to the cleaning team. After that issue, the cleaning team started and halfway through, my parents realized that they weren't going to finish everything in the 3 hours since they were moving a little slowly in the master area and there was more to get done. So my parents told them not to worry about the study room, the informal living room and the separate bathroom and just clean only the rest of the master area, kitchen, and living room foyer. After the cleaning team left, my parents came back into the space and were appalled. They sent me some pictures of the house. I have attached them to this review. There is dust and stains still there. I thought this must have been a mistake so I immediately called the customer service line. Anthony said that it was too much work and that I needed to pay them for an additional hour or two to fix it. I was shocked to say the least, I asked him what the cleaners did during the 3 hours if they didn't clean the 3 areas we requested. He said that they just focused on the master bed/bath and part of the living room and didn't get to do the Kitchen after I sent him the pictures of the dirty stovetop and the floors in the kitchen. Then I showed him the bathroom, there was still toothpaste in the sink from earlier today and dust in the bathroom counter. He had no response and just said he wasn't sure and would get back to me. He later called me and said it was too much work for them which is why they "couldn't do it perfectly in each area" but I explained to him that they had not even finished any area but just did a little cleaning in each area. I also explained my panic because my parents were moving out of the house in a few hours and I had no one else to clean it. He said that they could come back by 5pm-6pm or Saturday if I paid them for additional time. I explained that my parents have to be out of the house by 2:30 pm today but then Anthony accused me of being the problem because he said I should've booked for an earlier appointment. I explain to him that I would never have scheduled an appointment so late if I thought that they would've not cleaned anything and would have to do a re-clean for $89.95 per hour. Staff or employees were kind and gracious. I am making this short and to the point. Made arrangements 10 days in advance and was specific about my needs for upcoming events in my home. First my credit card was charged not a hold the day before they showed up. Agreed time to arrive was changed? First to arrive was a woman alone and 45 minutes after agreed time. I asked if she was the only one coming? No others will come later was her response. Two others did come about 30 minutes later. The first employee started in master bedroom and bath. My window blinds were not touched or my ceiling fan blades? The mirror in bath was streaked badly. I paid for a deep clean and expected more. They never cleaned or mopped laundry room at all. Even after pointing out overlooked areas it wasn't clean. Overall my 2100 sq.ft house is clean but with only two adults that live here it wasn't a pit to begin with. They also keep your credit card so when you have a disagreement can just charge it at will. They don't keep their word at who will be coming to your house and cleaning and will sent random cleaners into your home with no warning instead of calling and asking if you want to reschedule. Very very upset with the way they do business. Please stay away unless you want to be worried that a shady company has your credit card on file. The fact that this company feels so compelled to respond to my review shows I have a case for fraud charges. I scheduled Sparkly Maid service to clean my home on Friday morning. I chose a time slot from 9 AM until till 10 AM for their arrival. At 10:30 AM, I got a call from the maids to tell me that they were running late. By that time, I had already canceled their service for this week and all subsequent weeks. If you're going to be late, you call within the window to say you're going to be late. You don't call 30 minutes after the window to say you're going to be late. I'm paying you for service. You will be on time. If they need a larger window to be on time, then their service should provide larger windows. It's not my fault that the window they provide is one hour wide. After canceling their service they debited my bank account not once but twice for their service. So I paid $900 for a cleaning service I never received. I plan to dispute the charge with my bank and I'm sure it will be refunded, but I am advising anyone reading this to steer well clear of this cleaning service. They are not professional. They are not on time. I wouldn't trust them as far as I can throw them. read more

They had already charged my credit card that morning for the service, so I just asked for a refund. They told me my card was never charged I screamed at them b/c I literally saw where they took their money out of my account and offered to forward them proof. The lady argued with me that they typically don't do that until the maid has made it to the location. Long story short I was finally issued my refund after 7 business days. I asked to speak with the manager on multiple days & kept getting the run around and that he was out of the country. I kept being told he would call me back but they didn't know when which was very comical. Here we are months later & I've never heard from the guy. I am not impressed with this company at all. I ordered a move-in deep cleaning and was extremely dissatisfied with the results. None of the carpet was vacuumed, none of the windows were cleaned, the window sills were left with bugs and nails and random trash, the base of the toilets still had urine stains, the kitchen cabinets were not wiped down, the insides were not cleaned out, there was broken glass left on the carpets and under the edge of the dishwasher, cobwebs everywhere. When I called for a refund, Anatole was completely unwilling to do anything other than send this person out to reclean. After a week of going back and forth with him, Google refunded my money through their guarantee program. Working with these people is not worth it. This guy even tried to blame me for the bad job his crew did at my house. In no way did he ever take responsibility for his crew and apologize. The home we purchased had been empty and vacant for 6+ months so before we moved in we wanted a deep clean. I was reassured but the company they have a 50 point checklist to go through while cleaning and that we were going to get the most thorough clean. We also figured it would be an easy clean seeing as there would be no furniture in the home. My home is 2600 sq feet. They sent 2 ladies to clean. They cleaned the home in 3 hours. They supposedly cleaned inside the microwave, inside the fridge, inside the oven and inside the cabinets (an extra service we paid for). On our move in day we noticed there were several cobwebs in the upper corners of the walls (as the home was vacant) and there were dirt and bugs under the counters. The fridge and oven were not cleaned and the cabinets were dusty. We asked them to come back and please correct their error. They were very apologetic and came back the following day. The woman was here for about an hour and only cleaned the cobwebs from the corners. Once we came back to inspect the home was still not in a "clean" condition. They only cleaned what people could see and not where was dirty. As I said, this was a pre-move in clean. We paid a lot of money to have the home cleaned and in great shape for our family. Upon taking more photos and calling the company multiple times they agreed to refund us the money. The refund came and was $40 less than what we paid. We decided to take that as a loss and move on.
