After reading the reviews, I decided to go with Sparks and was not disappointed. They delivered an accurate quote for my oil change via text and was able to approve online before. They encourage appointments, and I made one and after only 45 minutes the work was complete. I've been taking my family's cars here since 2003 and have always been pleased with their service and reliability.

If anyone needs a good auto repair shop, I highly recommend Jim at Sparks Computerized Car Care. I went to see Jim based on local recommendations and the outstanding reviews on Yelp and I am so glad I did. I went in for a routine check up and thought my breaks needed work. It turns out, the breaks are fine, it was a bad water pump that was making noise in the front of the engine. Rather than charging me a ton of money to fix it, Jim took the time to call my VIN number into the manufacturer and found that my vehicle is still covered under the power train warranty. He advised me to go to the dealership for the repairs where they fixed it under warranty at no charge! Jim also noticed that my tires were low on tread and had some cracking, he gave me an estimate for a new set of tires. I called around to many other places to shop for the best price (same tires) and he was hands down the best I could find. No one could even match his estimate. I am getting a set of brand new tires and my oil changed with Jim for $130 less than what the dealership wanted to charge me for the tires alone. Please, go see Jim at Sparks in Lake Zurich. There's a history of great reviews, but wanted to add a current one. First off props to Jim & the team at Sparks for a long lineage of great service. I was a first timer today so I was hopeful. Thanks Yelp and those who have provided reviews. It was based on the feedback here that I chose Sparks over a myriad of others. In my case the repair turned out to be small, A/C Relay, but I called this morning, asked about their process and Jim simply said bring it by and we'll take a look and we'll get you an estimate, N/C. (This guy has a great attitude...an added plus). I left the car there, not knowing what the issue was. As I said, it was minor, but just the way Jim & Co. approached it was basic, simple, & pragmatic. He explained what they found over the phone and some of the other checks that they performed. IMO going the extra mile to make sure that the issue was limited to what they found and also to provide me with additional info for future reference. I certainly left with a feeling that the issues were resolved and there wasn't anything bigger on the horizon. BTW, did I say that I brought it in today at around 10am and Jim called back right around noon. The work was pretty simple, but to have this all taken care of so quickly earned them extra props. I'm not saying that this will be the case for everyone / most people, but knowing that they will triage and respond as quickly as they can is what I'm sure many people look for. I will be going back with what I'm sure will be bigger ticket items, but I suspect and am hopeful that my next experience will be just as good. Only comment and unfortunately I didn't take a picture, the signs on the windows are all NAPA. I dropped my car of today (right before closing) and realized after it was closed that I left a bag for work in the car. I was able to track down the owner's cell phone number. Great place to get your car fixed or an oil change. I almost always go here but I moved and tried a couple local places and nobody beats Sparks. The oil change was about half the price of Midas/speedy oil of whatever they call themselves. Crooks would be a good title. But at Sparks the staff is friendly and even more important honest. It's a little out of my way now that I have moved, but I won't take my cars anywhere else again. It's sounds cliche to say "Oh my guy is the best!" When referring certain businesses.
