I initially emailed them to get info on the cost and timing, they consistently replied within a few hours and were very helpful. They got me in within the next few days. Their showroom is really organized and clean. I got a tour of the back garage area, which was way bigger than you'd expect from seeing the front of the building. They had a lot of high end cars getting work done, ranging from full vehicle wraps and audio installs. The work completed worked properly and was a very clean install. They left my vehicle very clean and gave me all the original packaging and instructions. I had a great experience with DPS and plan to bring other vehicles there when I need any work done.

He not only readily agreed but offered to powder coat them, any color, gratis. (I didn't take him up on it, but I was very appreciative of the offer.) Good thing there was another car or ours would have taken far more damage. The shop service experience was pretty much straightforward, dropped off the car talked to the insurance companies and they worked everything out. There was a small issue with paperwork but that was insurance company related and quickly resolved. They didn't have a few parts in stock so we had to wait an extra few days for them to get everything repaired. Quality takes time and this job shows how they took time and used proper skill to restore our vehicle to mint condition. Can't speak for costs since it was all covered by the insurance. The estimates given to the insurance company didn't seem overpriced to me though, but that's coming from someone with no prior body shop encounters. And hopefully this will be our last. Car accidents suck. Thanks A&A for making the post accident recovery a bit easier for us.

You call for a day and then drop the car the night before or show up in the morning and check in. They verified the oil change and asked if I needed additional service. I asked them to take a look and let me know as I didn't think it did. The staff is really friendly and welcoming. The service was very affordable and the quality and care they put into their work is tremendous. When they called to inform me my car was ready, they validated that no other work needed to be done. But if I wanted to 30K service I could. I decided to pass and doing it next month. They didn't push the services and to call them for an appointment when ready. Picked up the car and did not get to far without it smoking. The oil cap was not put on leaving the oil to go all over the engine, exhaust pipes and drained on our driveway. We have been loyal customers here for many years, which makes this experience especially disappointing. We brought in our son's new car for a routine inspection, including an oil change and additional work. Shortly after picking up the vehicle, it began smoking. When my husband later opened the hood, oil splashed into his eye, which was extremely concerning and unsafe. He discovered the oil cap had not been replaced, causing oil to spray throughout the engine, onto the exhaust, and all over our driveway. When we contacted the shop, we were told that if the car was returned before noon, it would be inspected and we would receive a call. We never received that call. Because of this error, we were without a vehicle for two days and had to rearrange work and school schedules, including taking time off work. Ultimately, the only action taken was cleaning the oil spill and refilling the oil. There was no follow-up communication, no apology, and no offer of reimbursement or compensation for the inconvenience and disruption caused. Given our long history with this business, we are very surprised and disappointed by the lack of responsibility, communication, and customer care shown in handling this situation. This was once our go-to place, and this experience has significantly changed our confidence in their service.

He was charged more than $685 simply for a check engine light diagnosis and a cabin air filter replacement. A basic diagnostic scan can often be performed at many auto parts stores at no charge, and replacing the cabin air filter on a Ford Transit van is an extremely simple procedure located directly behind the glove box. The Transit does not come with a factory-installed filter, and installation requires only dropping the glove box, removing the housing cover, and inserting the filter -- a task that takes only minutes. The pricing became even more excessive when he was quoted over $725 for front brake work, plus an additional $285 to bleed the brake lines -- a procedure commonly performed as part of brake service. He was also quoted approximately $1,000 for an oxygen sensor replacement, which is grossly inflated for both the part and labor involved. This veteran was clearly taken advantage of through excessive pricing and poor customer treatment. I was able to source the rotors, brake pads, and oxygen sensor online for a total delivered cost of $259, including tax and shipping. I then referred him to a reputable mechanic who completed the installation of the rotors, pads, and oxygen sensor for $300 total. The contrast in pricing speaks for itself. Charging inflated prices to a retired Army veteran for relatively routine automotive work is unacceptable. The pricing practices and lack of integrity displayed in this situation are deeply concerning and reflect extremely poorly on the business.

I went to start my car and discovered the battery was dead. AAA replaced the battery, and discovered the engine would crank but would not turn over. I needed to find a repair shop or make arrangements to ship it home. I began a Google search and quickly began calling "classic auto repair shops", asking for help. The replies ranged from "We can't take you for 2 weeks" to "We don't work on cars that old". I finally dialed Old School Classics in Monee IL. Bruce listened patiently to my predicament and said he would help. I had the car towed from downtown Chicago to his shop in Monee. Bruce greeted me and began working on it right away, with help from Mike and Ray. By the end of the day Bruce had isolated the problem to the EFI control module, one of the many modifications I had made to improve performance. Bruce continued working on my car first thing next morning. He reached technical support at Holley, who helped him verify that that the ECM module was fine. They directed Bruce to a hidden relay that tested bad. After replacing the relay, the engine fired up perfectly. I was very grateful to pay this bill, be on my way and avoid a $4,000 charge to ship the car back home. My car ran perfectly for the 2,000 mi trip back to Los Angeles. Bruce, Mike, and Ray are honest "Old School" people. You can trust their expertise. They deliver excellent service quickly and efficiently.

They took what was the tired 13-year-old Fiat coupe with 69,000 miles on it. And they basically turned it into a new vehicle that has 2500 miles on the tires up restoration. Consumables were replaced, marginal items were replaced, new rubber and tuning the engine and the drivetrain. And because they did such a fantastic job it made sense for us to continue forward we had the interior redone and a European retrofitted screen that's actually built for the Fiat 500s. Wouldn't have done that if the work didn't turn out as good as it did. Just took it in the other week for an annual physical. One of the senior guys drove my car in to the facility and he said "she's got something knocking under there". (Nothing I ever heard but guess what? he hit it right on the head. And even that was under the warranty for the work that they had done. I would also add if it wasn't covered the price that was going to appear on the invoice was minuscule for parts and labor no arguments! The hell with comfort I'm driving it out to California to see my daughter this year! I believe the $$$ tab came just slightly over the Blue book value of the car. I couldn't be more thrilled. We talked about a lot of things here a lot of work that's been done on this car please if you have questions talk to them they'll welcome your inquiry and I don't want to mislead anyone.
