Excellent customer service was provided and most importantly, Mike is honest. I went in with two warning lights on. It turns out that they were historical error codes. The mechanics reset the system and the error codes did not come back on. If they do come back on, Mike told me pretty much exactly what we need to be done to prepare and all were at reasonable prices. He only charged me a minimal fee on this visit to check and reset. AMAZING! i've driven past Mike's Garage countless times and my introduction to Mike and Tony was happenstance. my honda's ac wasn't working and i was sure it just needed freon, every other car place was going to charge me $150. i used to put freon in my old mazda, so the idea of paying $150 was not happening. my mother called Mike's Garage and he said he'd do it for $60, i was sold since i wasn't sure how to do it on my honda. he was honest, concise and nice. a lot has happened since. i ended up buying a car from him, one he purchased and worked on. the car is great and i love it!! but odd luck, something happened to the water pump within a week and i freaked out...Mike said "no worries, just bring it in." turns out the mechanic before used only his bare hands to tighten the screw, so it was inevitable it would fall off. Mike said he literally just lightly twisted it off and couldn't believe the idiot who did it prior. he didn't charge me for any service. no fuss no muss. it's hard to find hard workers, hell people, who are honest and fair...Mike and Tony are amazing! i will never go elsewhere! read more

I failed my emissions test, so having just started to work in the downtown Arlington Heights area, I hopped on Yelp to find a good mechanic near my office to fix my issue, and look over my car as long as I had to bring it in anyways. Gotta say, all the Yelp reviews of Mike and his garage were spot on. I called to make an appointment for my repair and off the bat could tell Mike had an awesome personality. Such a nice guy. He listened to what I was saying and when I brought my car in he reviewed what we talked about on the phone, not forgetting a thing. Called me a few hours later, went over REASONABLE pricing (that's in caps to emphasize that I knew for all I was having done, the quote was totally legit), timing to get the repairs done, and made sure to ask if I had any questions or concerns whatsoever. I went to pick up my vehicle after work, and Mike went over what was done, fully explained in terms that I understood, without making me feel dumb (he treated me like a person. Plenty of mechanics have spoken to me in the past like I was a complete idiot), and told me what could potentially happen down the line and what to look for/be aware of. Even had a few laughs, which was well needed after a long Monday. I've found my new mechanic! The shop does oil changes too for similar, if not slightly cheaper, than the big name oil change places.
