Called Sparky for a price on some work replacing an electric panel that should have cost about $4000. By the end of our meeting, the baby faced charing innocent looking electrician ws presenting a contract for 27,000 we did not ask for or need for the most part. And, he wanted us to sign the contract right there on the spot. People, shop around, don't trust anyone until you have done your homework. Needles to say, I sent them to hell and shopped around. I will admit they did a good inspection and found some other issues but they were piling on over priced extras that we did not need. These companies come at ya hard when you live in Boca. I was referred by Supreme Pool Supply to schedule an appt with Sparky's last month regarding a mechanical issues with my pool's electrical panel box. It became evident that Kyle is a very busy guy because he wasn't able to schedule me until the following week during this particular time but it was clear why his services are sought after. Although I was given a window in which he would arrive to my home, when I scheduled my appointment the week prior, I didn't receive a courtesy call the morning of and didn't hear the door! Fortunately, Kyle was not far from my residence and was able to swing back around (which was much appreciated!) Kyle is an experienced professional. I was very impressed with the courteous service, timeliness of keeping the appointment, fairness of the price and quality of the work. I had two ceiling fans installed in a house with vaulted ceilings where there wasn't a socket to install in the ceiling. They did all of it in about two hours and left no mess behind. The last three times I have used an electrician, the next time I call them they are gone. Sparky's has been around for 30 years, so I know I can depend on them. I called and easily made an appointment. They were actually earl. They changed out two lighting fixtures and were finished in a matter of minutes. It was actually less then I thought. We received the Senior Discount, $20 and it was only $75. My wife appreciated that I didn't try to do it myself and possibly killed myself. Our electrician was actually Sparky's son. This is the third job they did for me. The second one was to install 2 quiet fans w/lights in my rental property. OMG, the fans are very quiet and they did an excellent job. So quiet I had them come and give me an estimate to replace my Fans in my bathroom, while they did that they noticed in the attic my electrical was not up to code and my HVAC ducts in areas were detached and holes. Well needless to say I had to hold off on the bathroom vents, but had them do the electrical for me. Their scheduling to do the job was quick and Kim set that all up. We have used Sparky's Electric both for home and business for 20+ years and have never had a problem until 8.4.2016. My husband STEVE made an appointment on July 18th for August 4th to have someone come out and do quite a bit of electrical that we wanted done. They said they would be there by 12:00. At 1:00 no one showed up so I called and left a message. They returned my call and said they cancelled the appointment because they could not reach us on 8.3.16 to confirm the appointment. We did not request to be called the day before. When someone did call my husband STEVE to confirm on the 3rd they asked for James. He told them they had the wrong # because his name is STEVE. My husband did not request a call the day before to confirm the appointment like they insisted that he did - it really didn't matter what time they showed up because he took the day off from work for this to be done. I believe they mixed us up with another customer because STEVE would not give them the name James. She informed me that she scheduled them for another job and that they would not be coming out. She didn't even apologize or say she would see what she could do. I called them at 5:30 to let them know I think it is awful that they did not come even though they could not reach STEVE. We do not live that far. The rude lady on the phone told me she is not going to pay her guy wages to go out if no one was going to be home (it's her son). So, after losing a whole day of work and not having anything done, we called an handyman in Riverside and he we be doing all of our work from now on. I have recommended Sparky's electric to my family and friend and will be informing them to call my new handyman instead. read more

I had set up an appt for service. Then I fixed my problem and called a week in advance to cancel. Well the service tech still showed up. We were not home. They had called and left me a message. I called back and talked to the office staff. This lady was all upset and wanted to charge me a service fee. I said for what, I had cancelled a week earlier. They insisted I had not and said there was no call in their call log. I knew I had called and cancelled. They then threatened to their call log will stand up in court..Whatever I said and hung up. Taking to me court over a service call. After hanging up, I checked the call log on my cell phone and sure enough I had called them the week earlier and had cancelled.
