The neighborhood dentist is right here. Now I'm native to the area, born and bred. I've been coming here since I was a little girl... I'm grown, and now I have children of my own, and now they come here. They are 4 and 2. We started bringing them whenever we came for a cleaning to get them accustomed to the bitter sweet of taking good care of your teeth. So start them early! Establish those good habits. It'll save money in the long run! The office is on the corner, street parking is easy, or you can make a right at the light and park in the back. Dr. Sparrow and his employees are just as sweet as can be. Friendly warm at the heart. The hygienists are very thorough and gentle. Everything's very clean pristine and equipment is up to date with the times. With insurance exceptions, you'll have to do this homework yourself. I, for one, have never used dental insurance except maybe for 2 years. I used another dentist, and I was like, big cup of nope! Came right back to Dr. Sparrow, and he's very fair in his prices and will always be truthful on his opinions what he sees and what he recommends. He won't steer you wrong. To each their own in what you want done or what is nessacary are two different things. He has recommendations and referrals for anything he doesn't feel he can handle. Back to the insurance part. I do not know, I've always paid cash and for us it's affordable, so I know his prices are competitive and affordable. So thank you Dr Sparrow for being so awesome like that! Hours are great! And he'll be there for you in emergencies if you're in desperate needs. I've never had a cavity in my life nor any major work except impacted wisdom teeth, which can't be avoided even with great habits. So must be doing something right. If you have a fear of dentists, give this place a try hopefully you'll feel at home with the calming music in the background and friendly faces. They have numbing agents to help with any uncomfortable issues which I use to use but not anymore. Finally grown some toughness. Biased review because I've been a client for a decade - yes, you read that right! I grew up across from Dr. Sparrow's practice. I would visit twice a year, so that's a total of twenty times. They've seen me grow up. I've virtually been seen by all their hygienist and have also witnessed Dr. Sparrow's practice grow and flourish. Dr. Sparrow is an awesome guy, beyond being an amazing dentist. He has a team behind him that is professional and amicable to the point that you'll forget that you're there for a dentist appointment! All of their hygienists are just as professional, knowledgable, and friendly. These are some of the reasons why I have not switched dentists in the past ten years, even when I moved to different insurances. However I have updated my review to one star because he wrote a letter to my parents who also see him stating that he no longer takes MetLife. However when you search what insurances he takes online it says he still takes this insurance. So he is just being petty. That's fine I guess he doesn't need the business. Been there three times. Recently I went in again for a cleaning because I felt I found a dentist office who gave you a cleaning without up-selling you or shaming you about having bad teeth and gums. The hygienist told me I had tartar showing on my x-ray that required a deeper clean and if I didn't get the deeper cleaning my teeth could fall out. (Huh?) She also said the tartar was left on there from a previous cleaning which I had gotten done there 7 months earlier. She also wanted to measure my gums and said I had bone loss. I wasn't aware a hygienist could read dental x-rays and make a diagnosis. Update 2/28/19: Dr. Sparrow called me on 2/27/18 to admonish me for posting this review saying I'm hurting his livelihood. He feels they are nice people and they didn't upsell me. This may be true but I stand by my review based on my experiences. I never see Dr. Sparrow when I go in so perhaps he should greet his patients instead of using staff. Using scare tactics or unintentionally using scare tactics on a patient is unacceptable. I also didn't like he told me on the call that they lose money when drilling into teeth which made no sense to me. He also said the regular cleaning and deep cleaning are the same price so he wasn't upselling me. 2nd Update 2/28/19: Dr. Joseph Sparrow called me twice and the second time left me a voicemail saying "I saw your little whiny response on Yelp. Ya know what dude, you need to learn to me a man, you're not one". I have the voicemail if anyone wants to listen to it. I guess I'm not a man and my teeth are going to fall out. We went to Doctor Sparrow for a check up. That went well and was fine. The dentist is friendly enough. My husband wanted to get his teeth bleached so he did that. I went to pick up the bleach trays, and the receptionist Devon-I think is her name, was so rude! She handed me a plastic bag with the trays in the ziplock bag. I left and opened it and realized there was no bleach in there. I went back in, surely bleach is included for $150 bleach trays. The girl then hands me 2 syringes of bleach. I asked what the instructions were. Devon rolled her eyes and huffed. As if I was inconveniencing her. She asked 4 times if my husband could come in and get the instructions. Every time I told her no, and that's why I was there picking them up. I don't owe them an explanation as to why he can't come. But she kept repeating it. And wouldn't give me instructions. Huffing and puffing and rolling your eyes is just not acceptable. I told Devon It seemed like she was frustrated and irritated and that i would google the instructions instead. Just rude. And a plastic ziplock bag with no bleach just handed to the patient. So trashy. For $150 I expect a better presentation and more than 2 syringes, and terrible customer service. And Devon is rude, condescending and doesn't pay attention. read more

By far the most amazing dentist ever!! My family has been going to dr sparrow and staff for about 2 years now. We live down south and make the drive to see him. He treats everyone like his own family. My toddler will not open her mouth for the life of her. He still tries and is more than patient with her. After every visit she still gets a toy for trying. He does wonders with kids!! Got the pleasure of meeting his wife who rushed in when she heard my toddler cry. She was there to help with needed. That family just has a heart of gold!! This place deserves a millions stars. My wife met Dr. Sparrow, Deven, and his incredible staff back in 2012/13 for a routine clean. We actually found them highly reviewed on Yelp and decided to go with them. My wife is very caution about where she likes to go to the dentist. It all sounded so pleasing until we went to the appointment. Which my wife said went amazingly well, so she continued to go. We moved out of town and during this time she had a tooth emergency, we had to go somewhere else. (Total mistake going some where else, if you'd like information on this place fell free to contact me. I would hate for you to have to go through what my wife went though. Located in the Palm Springs area.) My wife was telling me that her tooth has been hurting her and she did not want to go to back to the Palm Springs dentist; they did not address the issue when she went back complaining about the issue. She asked about going to see Dr. Sparrow for a second opinion because she was so gratified from pervious visits. So, I called Dr. Sparrow's office to make her an appointment. She drove the 2:30 hours to get her whole situation fixed. Within two visits Dr. Sparrow delivered beyond astonishing results, compared to the seven visits she went to for the other dentist. Not only did Dr. Sparrow and his extraordinary team of a staff gave my wife great results, they even helped us get a refund from the Palm Springs dentist. In the future I know it will be hard to make an appointment because of how much business they will receive. Even though this place is a business Dr. Sparrow treats it no such way. My wife stated Dr. Sparrow treats you as if you were his family. read more
