(On Father's Day, no less. When I was hoping I could keep up with my kids and at least finish the "advanced elevation" course.) That being said... we had an absolute blast. (Myself and the Mrs. were beaten and bruised and battered and sore afterwards, but we loved it.) The weather wasn't ideal (cold and rainy) but I think that was a blessing in disguise. The workers and guides were all incredible. (They were all supportive, friendly, and passionate about the adventure we were about to jump into.) Each course got a wee bit higher and more challenging and within the actual course I appreciated their 'method to the madness' - they'd break up the taxing (physical) stuff with a zipline as a 'breather' before you had to start to hustle again on some crazy shifting logs or cargo netting. As someone with a bit of experience over the years (ziplining at Hunter Mountain, Ausable Chasm in the Adirondacks, TreeEscape at Mt. Creek) FLG X was by far the most exacting. (But take that with a grain of salt... if you're not in the AARP age range - like myself - you might have a blast and be able to reach the Black Course, including those daunting monkey bars!) Worth every penny, for sure. (Pro tip: make sure you bring or buy a pair of rugged gloves... they're essential.) "GUIDE! GUIDE! GUIDE!"

Im also horrified of heights but i was determined I went through a brief video about the corse and some safety. The young lady from the desk gave a excellent training on safety and proper use of the equipment Then my wife and i was introduced to Matthew our guide Matthew explained everything step by step as we went along My wife had plenty of experience and with Matthew we felt safe for myself and my wife I took my time climbing the latter and Matthew assured me i secured and safe He really gained my trust . I had to take my time and rest for two to five min at a time and Matthew really gave me the confidence i needed to continue Im 60 years old i not old but iam a little broken lol I was a little dehydrated i needed water i thought i was in trouble but no Matthew asked one of the other highly trained staff to get me a bottle of water After that i zipped a few times with no issues i was doing really good. But my arms were going dull because of some prior injuries Matthew helped go down the ladder and i was ok Matthew is a very calm individual professional who knows what he is doing you can tell he had the best training. He really made my experience great I have to add it wasn't very busy so thank god The staff is excellent and these young men and women run a tight ship safety is their priority and second is for their guest to enjoy themselves. The zip line course is great for any level my wife said this was the best one yet and she has been to many. If i can do it i think most people can to Use common sense, listen to the guides they are there for you I cant ever do this ever again because of my injuries of a bad accident i had in 2011 but this was on my bucket list I always wanted to scuba dive but that dream is only a dream But i got to zip line and at no point at all i wasn't in any kind of danger Thank you Matthew for doing your job above and beyond of any on my expectations The harness and the clips and all the safety equipment are the best . You have to listen to the guides have common courtesy and have patience and use the equipment properly and pay attention to what you are doing Its not all to difficult trust me im not to bright and i had a great time Matthew you are a true champ and you will succeed anything you do. I will be for ever grateful i will be recommending this FLG X to everyone. One more important thing thank you so much for making sure my wife and the rest of the quests are safe and everyone was enjoying themselves Great corse also. Our guide was professional, knowledgeable, and supportive- he talked a couple of us through some of the harder obstacles. We took the full two hours after the training and completed 5 courses. Our favorites were the ZipQuest (9 ziplines) and the Blue level course, which is the second hardest. The Blue course was challenging even for the college athlete of the group- definitely takes some athleticism and ability to be calm under pressure. If that's not your jam, I would still recommend. The three easier obstacle courses and the ZipQuest course were still very fun and would be a good challenge for families with younger kids. Minimum age was 7 with a 50-250lb weight range. I highly recommend this experience to anyone in the area!!

But before I talked about that, note that this place is both wrecking club AND break bar combined. Front of the house is the bar and the back is wrecking area. We were sent liability waivers to sign prior to coming. Once there, was when it was weird. Emails prior to going said to arrive at 15mins prior to our time which we promptly did. But it was odd because I had to ask the bartender twice what to do and we were told to wait in the back by the doors to wrecking club. Nobody came the first time and the second time it was past our time slot. That irked me. Once in, we put our stuff in lockers that don't lock by the way so I could have easily opened that previous wrecking club door and stole stuff but okay... how i know? Because i peeked in and tried the door and it opened bc we waited so long. LOL. We geared up with gloves and a hard hat with a shield. My head is funny shaped apparently because I tried so many hats. This hallway where we geared up had dell monitors/printers to be smashed. It led to one big room where we caused destruction. According to their site, Rampage includes the following: 1 premium electronic (game consoles, monitors, printers, etc) and 8 smaller electronics (office phones, keyboards, speakers, etc) and 30 breakables (glasses, plates, mugs, etc). What we got was monitor, printer and a bunch of glass cups which def didn't add up to 30 for sure. Available tools for destruction that we had were 1 crowbar, 2 metal bats, 1 sledgehammer and something else that I can't remember. We got to play our own music so I blasted the rock music of my youth. We had a blast smashing sh*t to smithereens!! We just wished had more glassware to break because it was so satisfying to hear/see it shatter. Fyi: Dell monitors are hella difficult to break. Who knew?!?! We were told of our time up and by time we were done, I was sore haha. Arm workout of the day haha. I would definitely come back if I had another coupon. Best way to get out the stress/anger inside.

I had family visiting from out of town and one of our cousins arranged for us to go here. We had to…read morego online and make a deposit for our reservation. They opened at 10am. We were the first people in line. By the time they opened up, started their computer system and found our reservations it was about 10:30am. The people behind us were getting very impatient and annoying. They basically have courses set up for you to test your balance from tree to tree. I think it's harder than it looks. All the times you watched ninja warrior or something similar and thought that you could do it, you're probably wrong. I think it's a cool experience to try. They have separate courses for adults and kids. The courses were clean and safe. The staff was friendly and the prices are reasonable. The zip lining wasn't that exciting but it wasn't much money to add on.

An awesome team experience!…read more It's cerebral, collaborative, informative and an overall exciting adventure in the greatest city! I've done the GCC for two years in a row and plan on making it an annual tradition. You will rack up a lot of steps, work your brain and learn a lot about the rich history of New York City. Some of the challenges are hard, some of them are extremely hard (binary code and interpreting braille) and most are fun. There's even delicious treats that are added in the mix. I highly recommend participating in this amazing challenge and using the services of GCC for any of your team building needs.
